i got them today....well.....i had this exhaust coming too which they dropped off with a neighbour yet at the same time they took the shocks n springs back to the depot so im going to go get them in the morning as they cant re deliver till next fri!!!why they couldnt leave them the same time they dropped the exhaust off is beyond me..i suppose its not their job to think so get em fitted 2mo n hopefully handle alot better n ride smoother,its been drivin me nuts this weekend all roads up here are in poor way n been feelin like there destroying the poor c

yeah i got that bit just ud think it'd still be quicker to not drift? ok yeah i do get the whole thing and its just coz its just cheese that upsets me and the hollyoaks cast could act better than those dweebs but like was said b4 i would rather watch that drivel than some love story etc

right well iv fitted a late exhaust on a hooks wel abit bodging untill i can afford the proper1 looks good tho cant fit old one back on as had to cut through some of pipework to get her out,prob was the origonal zorst by looks of it new shocks and springs 2mo tho courtisy of mr mass!

haha still do it mate!!!haha not in me mums car tho im not aloud to drive their cars theres not much else to do up int lakes like,no real scene as such just making use of empty back lane on a night n avin afew chheky dubes haha got afew dubbers up here tho on the quiet so its quite good

thats the thing tho they think just by puttin a loud back box on and a few neons on the parcel shelf that they straight out of the movie!! i no wot your sayin the 1st one does seem kinda plausable after what the rest are like they should make on in england.......... london nights,gettin cut up by taxis and gettin pulled for looking suspicious in a modified car or back road racer where young farmers race there mums cars around the lanes on a night going from doggin spot to doggin spot n avin afew joints

yeah i know it IS the modified car scene in a way but i guess its just not my taste lke u say,i just find it abit embarressing the way they harm on about it yeah iv know about drifting n yeah its believable as its real driving happening but why cant they just drive in a straight line around those cars n stuff n escape alot quicker?? yeah i understand that the mountains around toyko are like that as japan is pretty much one big mountain out of the sea but just abit cheesey the way they speed it up like some benny hill movie when their drifting down the mountain yeah i know the japs are into their crazy paint jobs and out their style just i guess its not my taste...again best me not watching it then as i just cant relate to it yeah things like nos exploding and never ending up-shifts but yeah the american muscel cars are the best part of it

well iv had a ball ache of a day i went out the house for 2min after waiting in for my new suspension and exhaust system and they both came wen i was out!!!!!! :brickwall: they left the exhaust as a neighbour signed for it but they took the suspension back to the depot in preston n cant deliver it till next fri!!! i then spend 2hours removing the exhaust only to find the new one was different and i had to make it fit coz i cant afford another1 and id had to angle grind the old1 off in places!!! well shes all put back together now as gonna take her out for a test run,fingers crossed she sounds ok are there two different types of rado exhaust???? as the mountings are different on the new 1

yep its another green enviroment plan gone mad to save the flailing car industry that the cars as more pporly made than the ones people will be trading in anyways i think each manufacturer should have the own independant scrap yard and be forced to recycle their own cars then maybe they might think about all the rubbish they make theres not even any new cars that i would want anyways c everyday even tho shes not economical but its not the cars poluting the planet making it warm up,its been doing it for millions of years warming up n cooling down its not even been prooven fact that its us they just hitting us wit more taxes for stuff they can get away with why doesnt the fuel price go down when oil prices drop???we never hear of when the oil drops only when it increases in price -
im sorry but the toyko drift one was on last night and i thought id give it a whirl as there was nothing else on all 900channels!! im sorry if i offend anyone but it was truely carp!!! fair enough the jap chicks in the hot little out fits bendin over next the the engines was good but the other 5min of some brain dead yank tryin to beat a i dunno what jap turd car was just pathetic...... why do they make these films n think people actually believe them???? why do people pay money to go watch them at the cinema????? :cuckoo: its not even believable!!!! u cant polish a turd but those boys have try'd their hardest also where do they get all the money from as they dont look like they even have jobs!!! whats all the 'oh no u did nt' about too?where there all like 'oooohhhhh' arms folded like the folk out of the beastie boyz videos! sorry for the rant but iv got no one else to rant too :( its just what people see as the modified car scene n were all branded with that flava of complete morons who get angry about looking at other peoples girls so weve gotta go out n race other wise uor lives are at risk,why dont they just av a fight n get it over with?

iv just bought some ebc ones after abit of confusion about which ones i should go for, were told b.diamonds were pants but couldnt afford brembos tho they seem too work well with the greenstuff pads but only been 2weeks soo ill have to see how i get on. allthough how long should they take too bed in as there dragging like a bitch :confused4: when i back off i slow right down without even braking and im using even more fuel than before, might i have fitted them wrong side??i put right hand on the drivers side??(it said right hand and left hand on the boxes) which way should the groove point?? i was told too stay away from drilled as dimpled was better as it reduces the risk of cracks appering around the weakend area of the drilled hole ah well if these warp n eat the pads ill just av to get something else and use the discs as beer mats in the garage!!

well it was chugging away this morning again i went to the stealers for these two sensors black and blue and got quoted 48quid part numbers 6u0919501b 025906041a is this about right or might i be able to get them cheaper elsewhere??? they dont like doing things for u down at lancaster vw they make u feel like yur scum for asking them for help n just to get lost n not bother them again

8mm is nothing really is it u'd think it wouldnt make much difference well i think wen i get a job im gonna upgrade to this spec brakes cheers for all the help tho ill look for the previous threads on this too saves people writing over n over again think ill try those ebc for now with some green stuff n see how i get on

well the pipe looks in good nick with no hole or any looseness couldnt find the idle screw so didnt play with that im guessin i need both the black and blue sensor then anybody know any part numbers?????? :scratch: do i get these from the stealership or will my local motor factors be able to get me one??? when i disconnected the blue one today the revs slightly rose abit but nothing noticable happened n still idled at 1500rpm been smellin the fuel :gag: today when i was giving it some licks

there a redy rusty blacky colour no i didnt think they were ament to be that wobbly or even move like that in the 1st place as cars that low u'd expect some kind of compression on them ill see wot they are abit more wen i take them off altogether as iv been offereed a set of koni's with h&r springs so think im gonna chuck those on and hopefully itll handle abit better and under heavy braking the back ends all over the place and the cars really unstable cheers

ah right sorry fella im still learning abit about these machines this is my 1st c i allways thought to run bigger brakes id av to change the calipers and stuff so that ment bleeding the brakes which i hate doing as not too great at it n if i mess it up i cant drive to garage with no brakes. so i am able to change to bigger brakes by replacing the carrier and discs,the carrier is a bracket that holds the caliper to the hub im guessin and a bigger one is only moving it further away to acc the bigger disc size? so black diamond are pants then,what about ebc? i drive quite hard and most of the roads round here are all back roads so alot of on/off braking but this usually cooks brakes n then im left with loadsa brake fade or no brakes at all so need something thatll hold up to that kind of abuse so this is a popular conversion then for these brakes up to 312 was it from 280?n i can find these off mk3's any specfic type or is it just the carriers im after? will these bigger brakes fit under my 15's tho?or will i av to get 16's? i know brembros are the daddys by all accounts but just abit out my price range for time being cheers for help tho fellas ill get u a pint :salute:

aaahh i see now so is there anyway improving the flow on the inlet manifold on a g60? so whats a good size bore size for steady flow as im guessin the common myth is that the bigger the exhaust the better

ok seeing as im overwhelmed by all the responses!! :lol: iv made my choice with the budget i have im going for some venom discs with green stuff pads,they say there made same place as black diamond and that they are good quality too so hopefully stand up to some abuse green stuff pads seem to be a good allround pads and are time tested through all cars

do they not allready do turbo specfic cam etc?? as the back pressure created on a n/a engine needs to be greater as to create that vacum like u say so fitting a oversized system on a small car it looses the pressure and power?? but liike u say its not needed as much on turbos and chargers as they are forcing in the mixture into the combust chamber so its kinda got pressure allready then the exhaust valve opens it expands out into the zorst and also gets sucked out by the different in pressures?? :scratch:

nice1 fella im gonna av a look at that 2mo i thought there must be an idle control screw i could just turn down abit like on a carb but it thought that little box of tricks would av fault codes etc,so its not that advanced eh,i thought all ecu's did,i suppose technologys more advanced since then i guess ill check that blue plug as iv seen it,i was wondering what they do,what does the black one do??anything to do with engine temp sensor as myu guage on dash aint working is the 1m pipe the one to t off for a boost guage??how come its gotta be exactly 1m?for the correct pressure in that lenght of pipe? does anyone know what resistances i sould be gettin accross my lambda then??iv got a multimeter,what settin?12volts dc??

well i took then vdo is it? off the car,cleaned it and soaked it in brake and clutch parts cleaner loadsa black much came out of it n i let it dry out re-fitted it and its still over revving when im changing gear it revs up too 2and when im slowing down it still revs up by itself iv not had then small back fire popping noise and stuttering tho am i gonna av to get it looked at on a dianostics?? :scratch:

well i was goin2 get some money out of the cash point and there was this guy in front of me n he kept turning around as i walked towards him so i started replying to my mrs as i didnt wana make eye contact he looked abit weird and scruffy then he left n walked bk accross the road n i started to get some cash out he said 'nice car that mate,how long u had it?' so i told him not long n he said hed allways wanted a vr6 and that they hold there money well,i said she was a g60 n but hed not had much dealings with those but said his bit n climbed into his l-reg cav does make u feel good about all the effort u put in :D same goes for the mini iv got people asking about it n people coming up to u i wonder if the maccy dee's carpark cruiser gets the same thing with his lexus lighted neoned up corsa???
