pads look fine bu the disc on the side facing the car has a lip of rust around the top, were it isnt being touched by the pads. I'm due to go to DG a week friday to put new disc and bearings on the fronts but might put that off till next month and get them on the back insted.

I saw a Black Audi RS4 under cover cop car today, pulled over a 2 CV by my work in Gloucester :lol: So watch out for one of them any one driving around Gloucester

In the last couple of days I've noticed my rear left brake getting very hot which causes the rim to get hot as well. ( CazzaVR will agree, as he has felt it) I took the wheel off this weekend to have a look, couldn't see anything wrong with it so re greased all the relevant parts with copper grease. But still getting hot today. :( Also I've noticed in the last week or so that when I lift off the brake pedal after pressing it down all the way there is a squeak coming from that side of the car. The brakes do feel slightly spongy and not as good as they could be. Would it be a good idea to get a new caliper on there? OR any other ideas Thanks in advance

Cheers, it was hot. When I got home It was rather hot so I put a little snow on it and it just hissed at me :eek: Couldnt see anyting wrong with it when I took the wheel off. So gave it a clean and put copper grease on the relevent parts. It seamed to be all fine after a quick spin earlyer. Will see what it does on the way to work tomorow Managed to free up the slider on the other side too, had some fun with a blow torch to free it up :norty: Used the new stands today but the anoying thing is, the trolly jack lifts the car about 1inch to short for me to get the axle stands in :epicfail: But a block of wood sorted that out :D

right ok, cheers the car doesnt over heat any more which is good, he will just have to put a jumper on for now :lol:

Sorted out a seized rear slider today, with FIRE :nuts: Hopefully my brakes will work better now :D

We have tryed removing any air in the system and so far both radiator hoses are hot as they should be. But the pipes to the heatter matrix are half hot half cold. they go from hot to cold when the pipes bend upwards. Its the same with both pipes. Still no hot air coming through the vents

Me and Andy got a chuftie yesterday, whilst fitting the engine mount. To young chaps was walking past and the one said to the other " They are nice sports cars" or something along thos lines 8)

Got a new Vag mount fitted today ( big thanks to cazzavr for helping me fit it :salute: ) Car feels alot better now. Engine feels smooth, gear change has gotton alot better too :D

On the bright side it could of been alot worst :( Also I hate the little round about thingy thats in charfield as you head into it from wotton unde redge :bad-words: didnt see it as there was a car in front of me and cliped the stupid thing that goes around the edge of it :( Luckly wasnt going that quick so no damage done pointless thing :mad2:

My bro's mk3 golf 1.4 is over heatting. changed the thermostat today but still not working. One pipe to the rad is hot the other to the thermostat is cold and the heatting in the car isnt working. Any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it?

Got the new engine mount in today and a K&M pannel filter, thanks to Andy (Cazzavr) :notworthy: Car feels alot smoother and gear change is better too :D Real big shame about that scratch tho Andy :( hope you get it sorted.

So where is the economical sense in that. If there is nothing wrong with it then why cant it keep going, will save alot of energy used to take it to the crushers, crush it, ect ect really get on my tits that :censored: :mad2: :bad-words: :brickwall:
