OK I have been in contact with a company that produces window stickers for cars. if I get enough interest I can get some window stickers done for the forum. They are static cling window stickers which means you can take it off again if you put it on wrong, just like to CCGB club stickers and go on the inside of the window. They are 14mm high and 150mm long and look pretty much like the ones shawshankkid used to sell ( I have his permission to do so) and will cost £4 for two posted. £3 for the stickers posted and £1 will be donated to the forum. Payment methods can either be a bank transfer or pay pal as a gift. They will be in white writing with a clear back ground, Pic's below. It is a shame every time a good rado is broken but on the bright side one corrado taken to bits will help loads more keep going

Swompy replied to pete_griff's topic in General Car Chat
Just buy one for your self we all know you will do soon enough. Speak to Andy, by all acounts he is an expert at selling a corrado then buying another one not long after  -
Hope fully at the end of the month I will finaly have my brakes done  just waiting for Graham to get back to me with a quote for bearings and fitting it all Back to topic. When I was painting the vr6 calipers I noticed a big difference in size to the 256mm calipers That sounds like a interesting upgrade tho
-
Calipers are exactly the same Girling 54 units used for 256mm setup. If you're up for converting to 5 stud, the 288mm/312mm setup is a very worthwhile upgrade. For ultimate stopping power, & poncy looks to boot you'll be wanting a set of Cupra R Brembos. Leons came with 5-stud 323mm discs, Ibizas with 4-stud 304mm discs. As fair as I'm awere you need the calipers and carriers off a G60 or VR6 to upgrade the front brakes to 280mm on a valver. As the valver calipers arnt big enough for the increased surface area on the discs.

Realy bad luck there, feel sorry for you after all that work :( But every project has there hicups, I'm shore it will be worth it. Wish I had the know how to do all the work you have put into yours :notworthy:
-
Looks like its a valver not a VR, 4 studs on the rims and just about see the V on the 16v grill badge. Watson what do you think? Sounds like a good trip too.

As a younge driver (20) and only been on the road for 3 years I defo dont think a rado would be the best first car. As trying to revers park is not easy in any car let alone a Corrado and when I first drove my Rado I looked to my right to see the blind spot and I shat myself because all I could see was the door pillar. I'll tell you what to do Pete, buy her something cheap and nasty which she can chuck around a bit and not worry to much about damaging, as it will happen. And with them money left over buy yourself a nive VR 8) -
Would it be a standard replacement or upgrade?
