Refer to this post regarding: How To Fit Heated Seats LoomWiring connections:
# Power comes in via the Black wire (Green plug) which plugs into the grey strip/block ( TV5 ) above the fusebox.
# Illumination for the switch is supplied through the Grey/Blue wire (Grey plug) which plugs into the grey strip/block ( TV8 ) above the fusebox.
Sounds like you just need the single pin connectors and crimps.
I have a seat loom accessible if you need more details/photos...
Yes please! If you have a picture of the crimps or a link to where you can get them that would be great
I also read your post previously but the tv5 and tv8 reference stumped me
-
I recall the live feed on mine was spliced into one of the larger fused wires on the bottom of fuse box (not sure by which fuse). I think the Illumination wire again was spliced in.
Spliced in by pulling off the plug on the loom or does that plug, plug into the loom splice?

Hi there
I've fitted some heated seats at the weekend and have got as far as the back of the fusebox bit.
I've followed various guides and I'm happy to tap into the back of the fuse box if necessary but wondered what kind of 'tap cable' would give me a connector into the back of the fusebox.
but i'd much rather be able to plug into the top of the fusebox like other guides suggest.
Does anyone have definitive information (e.g. you can plug the illumination cable into here, and you can plug the heat cable into there.
The posts i've been ressurecting are around 10 years old and no longer have their attachments present.
muchas gracias.

I have no idea mate!
Found some more chopped up cables behind passenger side under-dash.
Empty plug in the middle (brown, red).
Cut cable on left (black, red).
Crimped (black/red) seems to be going up to a tweeter.
Anyone have a clue where that plug should plug into?
Finished putting the rear seats into what will be my half/half interior.
Also finished doing some soundproofing and wired in the heated seat loom, with the exception of the damn fusebox.
and found this little badboy behind the dash (spoiler, not a badboy)
I don't think it is connected anymore as i've never heard it go off, so wondering if it could be causing my stereo not to work.
-
i'll do that when i get back mate thanks

i had a bit of a walk around the car yesterday and I have 4 fingers ok passenger side and 3 fingers on drivers side, with only fumes in the tank. I might have a word with the garage that fitted them
-
Potentially interested in the rear axle depending on condition and whether it would fit vr6, and on price.

this is on my loom. The only blue and brown/blue cable of 2 cores.Racking my brain trying to work out where it came from. I knew I should have labelled them all as I disconnected. Damn school boy error

Thanks, did you find out where it goes?

Ok so I think I may have got my wires crossed slightly, I had my socket set and a bike in the boot at the time of taking that picture WHOOPS!
So here's a pic with an empty boot bar the spare wheel (which is full size).
I can fit about three fingers at a squeeze inbetween top of wheel and arch for reference.
-
I've also got one if anyone is after another

Not sure why the photos aren't working On my phone. They were on my laptop. You need to set the permission on your dropbox folder to public as they are blocked to anyone outside your account.

connector on the steering column or at the fuseboard?steering column
-
Welp. good news and bad, managed to sort the wipers and sunroof and fan by just jiggling the fuseboard again with a friends help - took it down and checked all the connections on the back and they seemed fine.HOWEVER!
the indicators have stopped working now!
hazards work fine but the using the stalk does nothing.
Bad relay?
Bad stalk?
Another lose connection?
Could you have knocked the connector out, my indicators only worked at certain steering column angles because it had become almost unplugged
-
Thanks I've found him matt8v I think. Heritage still sell the original to be fair but it's £70.They are a fire hazard, or so the forum says. I've fitted a matt8v one just out of precaution.

-
Have you tried connecting VAGCOM?
-
I've got one with that exact bit missing plus one with it on, sadly it's cracked but I'll be attempting a repair. Happy to pop up a pic if you want to see what's gone? In case you have the offending piece lying aboutplease do, drop it in a PM please
-
Thanks mate, but I'm gonna pass as it's missing the bit behind the pedal.no probs, i didn't know which bits it was missing and wasn't !
-
Also, apologies for asking, do you have the drivers side kick panel, the big one behind the accelerator pedal, would need to be unbroken as I have 2 cracked ones :)
Help needed on Rear seat fitment.

it sounds like it is not fitted into side where the clip goes over the hex bolt, which means the toggle to let it fall forwards can't latch resulting in it falling forwards with enough force.
