ABS Pedal distance sensor now obsolete... Grrrrrrr

Kev, Can I ask how this information is made available? The reason why is that my dealership parts guy (who is fantastically helpful and a real diamond) had been advised earlier this week by Volkswagen's Parts support team that the only source was either second hand or new-old-stock. If there is another way he can find out accurate parts availability (even if only as part of an assembly) I would like to let him know so he can be even more useful. Thanks, -
Received, Jake. Thank you :salute:

Two for me, please

I believe this has little to do with safety, but is more about the Government meeting its CO2 emission reduction obligations. The 'safety' issue is just window-dressing.

Many thanks indeed for that. A great tip that could save many hours of gnashing and wailing :salute:

Thanks Andy and everybody for the very helpful responses  I have some Q-bond so may have a go at gluing. If not, then to the Ford garage :) Seems to. It joins onto another valve (with an electrical sensor) underneath the air intake hose. From there another small hose then leads along the wing towards the charcoal canister. Is there any specific engine number / model year for compatibility, or is '1995 Galaxy V6' good enough? Cheers,
-
Thanks Andy. Do you have any idea why this modification could have been done (I am just curious)? Do you know what this part is, labelled below, which the hose attaches to? Cheers,
-
My VR6 is running really well (touch wood) but I have just noticed a small hose which appears to have been cut/split and the ends sealed with screws. The pipe is to the top left of the engine cover. Pictures below. Do I need to worry about the 'modification''? Many thanks.

Excellent. Many thanks.

Does anyone know if the straps from a 16v will fit a late VR6 fuel tank? Thanks.

Can I have x2 please?

Does anyone know a supplier for these? Leon had some indicators with silicon covers for sale recently but he didn't know where they came from. I was thinking of using some clear Lamin-X for indicator stone protection, but happy to consider some bespoke covers, if they are still available. Thanks.

Genuine VW retrofit Aero wiper blade to replace the standard rear wiper on the VW Corrado all models all years. Uses your standard wiper arm. http://www.veedubmachine.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=101_103&products_id=330

Great news. As above, I will take a 3 relay one. Have got the OEM connectors on the way. Many thanks.

New Corrado owner having bought Dinkus's VR6 yesterday. Plenty of pics on here of what it looks like. Will put up some more once I have removed all the pink internal bits and cleaned the very dubious stains off the rather smart cloth Recaros. Also not sure how the male bootprints got onto the headlining. Drove it home yesterday without incident and have spent this morning in the Peak District on 'familiarisation' driving :D It goes like stink, is beautifully planted, stops on a sixpence and I am still grinning from ear-to-ear.
