your key will be standard golf2 AH code with no immobiliser any alarm, immob etc will be aftermarket dunno about the CL ben

look in the pass side wing at the front for a yellow coil type thing search for dim AND dip AND resistor HTH ben

i often wonder about posting a thread like this and buying a vr but i cant ever see myself geting what i think my car is worth to me i`d want over 2k with what i think it`d be worth (not a lot in some peoples eyes but i`ve always used bosch or vw and bought top quality parts, koni, h&r, Mocal...etc) but it`s still a lot for a high mile valver but i`ve sort of resigned myself to the fact that i`ll have to keep it forever :roll: that vr looks well worth 4k but as you dont wanna sell i imagine your price would be a lot higher! TBH what could you buy for the money that would satisfy you....?

there should be a circlip on the LHS of the slidey bit... if the plastic moves over to the left you need a new one cheap as chips!!

they`d be nothing in it i dont reckon, maybe when new but not now at this age i think it`d be dependant on the way the engine`s been treated throughout its life i`ve had mine RR at dubsport and stealth (see Sig) and had over 150bhp at both only mods being exhaust and air filter and its on 158,000, but it still doesn`t feel very quick. i think the golf would feel faster as it`s a more bare, less sound proofing etc than the C
