If ya engines running fine then don't disturb your 9a head, there's very little difference in the heads, the kr will higher compression on a abf but not on a 9a so no real noticeable gains, put the inlet cam from th kr in, kr and 9a exaust cams are the same, you can put an abf exaust cam in tho. Check if your kr inlet manifold is the lager 50mm one that came on the early krs if so swap that for the 42mm one you will more than likely have on ur 9a, if ur not strapped for cash hang onto pretty much all the parts off the kr as most are fine for the 9a and will save ya money wen owt of urs fails, send ya kr head off for a port an polish wen ya have a few quid spare, otherwise just swap the kr inlet cam n sell the kr, there's loads of good 16v info on clubgti. I've been Geeking it up loads on there lately as I'm rebuilding a 9a top to bottom, and also have a kr lying around. and wanna squeeze everyting I can outta it.

Yeh mate a picture could be helpfull, the seats I've got sat a lot lower than rado seats did in my mk2, I've got some fixed subframes but there not very good, could do with being chopped up n rewelded a little. Somthing adjustable would be ideal for wen someone else wants to drive seen as I'm a short arse n practically sit on the pedals

I've a set of corbeau forza seats, what subframes is anyone running with these? I want the seats to sit low, and will make my own frames if I can't find a set that will sit low enuff, has anyone got a tilting pair? And if so what are they like height wise an how do they adjust overall? Would come in handy If I wanted put rear bench back in for youngen int back, wunt want a kid int back without easy accsess incase of an accident.

Does anyone know if the carbon fibre bonnets(performance trim etc) are the early spec bonnets or the later larger bonnets that were to clear the vr? Or both(which I can't imagine, I'm guessing later)

Has anyone on here fitted a BMW rad with the built in header tank? If so do you wanna share the info on what rad used? And what fan? As soon as I've measured a few up an plonked one in for myself I'll share the info.

There's abs connections on vr looms, on a mk2 u do one little wire jump to make ya clocks work, other than that u simply plug in engine plugs in place of ya current engine plugs, possibly even simpler on a corrado, if u have g60 brakes already ur aswel using them and nit bothering with 5stud, there's always a better choice of wheels in four stud. U can prolly pic up a engine box loom all ancillarys rad and subframe for about 400quid. http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html Helps with wiring.

This is based purely on a mk2vr6 coversion, vr6 swaps are fairly cheap, u can remain four stud if u want, but a brake upgrade is recomended. U will need the vr gearbox, and a corrado vr radiator, U can use your exaust but will need a vr6 manifold, you can also use ur fuel pump set up, wirings pretty much plug and play, get yaself a corrado subframe, u wil possibly need to ding ur chassis leg(u do on the mk2), on my mk2 I've got widetrack and 5stud, but I've seen friends crudely knock together the same engine swap changing very little and everything still works fine. Mk2vr6.com has plenty of info on the swap, corrados share the same front end as mk2s so I'm hoping it's just as easy as I'm planning on doin this same swap over the winter, as I've got everything I need sitting pretty, as for insurance u can sometimes get it cheaper because some insurers will consider it a kit car. Worth enquiring, vr swap is possibly the cheapest swap with the best gains for the money and ease, and the swap cam be do e over a weekend, abfs ain't much quicker than 9as. U considered bike carbs? Less work and can tidy up ur bay a treat.
