Ha..ha... VR you mean? Done all them before, valvers, VR's and 18T's but it was only ever going to be a G in a Rado due to fond memories of my mates old car. I did have a look at a valver nugget a year or so back but it just didn't do it for me. Take it that your Nugget is in the shop getting done? That will be me eventually as although there is zero rust bar two stonechips the previous owners have over polished the car and been in posession of the all time paint killer, a car cover!! POOP!!
-
One of my 'cars to buy' for a long time. Always wanted a nugget but finding a G aswell was harder than i thought. Thats why I'm curious how many are knocking about. Aha...Sorry, thought maybe another signin from a different forum. Car is TBO for future reference :) I Will do. Recaro's coming out though i think, blue and yellow? not quite sure tbh. Originally black i believe

Cheers guys, yes it does need a wash I'd have to agree. Just this blooming weather, dirty within a day! Nope dude, gadge. Is there many people rockin' nugget G60's? I'd be interested to see some more

New G owner. Pics are rubbish (as mine always are  ) as they were quick phone pics for a mate to prove I'd fitted the rims and lowered it a touch (still ongoing!!) Lots of plans but later in the year after the mk2 gets done Loving it as my daily :D

Standard G airbox, complete with flexi please. Pm over what you have inc condition and price delivered unless local to CA5 6JB Please. Cheers
-
Thanks for that. I'll have a look in your thread at gauge pod etc. Yep, oil cooler is also on the cards and I'll just keep looking for an airbox, cheers

Boost gauge is on its way, just can't decide on where to mount it? Any advantages other than run length on using vac pipe into the MFA rather than the pipe on the FPR which is the one I would have gone for? Will a golf airbox fit as finding a decent rado one seems to be quite hard? Any advantage with the twintake system or just overkill? FMIC will defo be on my to-do list as the standard one is minute. Then its just down to surface area and pipe runs for pressure loss.

Thanks for this input mate, this is the type of stuff I was hoping for. I've only just gotten the G in the newyear after putting it off for years (have three golfs, so enough problems already lol) but when a nugget came up I just had to get it somehow! Sad I know but I love it. Car has a stage 4 charger and P&P head on it and using the maf function is boosting around 1 bar. The car is tidy, not immaculate, hence why I could afford it lol but the engine has been looked after. Its had work done to it but under the hood is a real mess. I do what I always do, read too much and want it to be as good as it can be. I want the bay tidied up, wiring sorted and engine optimised. I like the car and have it as my daily whilst I strip my mk2 down. I wanted the G for its smooth delivery of power and the twiney charger sound. Shoot, rambling again. Back on track. Not looking for or expecting extra power, just optimisation of whats already there. I want to upgrade the cooler to a FMIC, probs return to a standard airbox with cool air feed and re-earth the lot. Il,ike the boost delete as a way to stop any boost leakage through the ISV, returning it into the boost intake tract instead. Crank breather back to charger. Stumbled across the BOV topics whilst searching and the experiences lean towards better throttle response rather than anything else. Maybe its a suck it and see type of deal with that but any input is greatly received. Brain is in overload after staying up and reading threads all night about this and other stuff like MAP sensor changes etc. Argh...why o why can't I just leave anything well alone?? I'm interested in why you returned to running a boost return pipe again rather than breather to charger and just dumping the excess? The head porting and boost pressures is something I need to understand more aswell. It looks like I am running around 14-15 psi with the stage 4, headwork and 68 pulley. So many variables involved to gauge output against anyone else. Suppose this is the joy of owning something new, working all this **** out. Loving the G and whole Corrado experience in general
-
Whilst checking this out I came across some info suggesting the ISV should go back into the intake as on boost with a ported charger/ smaller wheel some passing will take place through the ISV losing psi and ultimately power. Thoughts?

Nothing wrong with blatant plugs mate, appreciate your input at the end of the day. I have a plate and a spare boost return pipe but I want to make the most of it. Don't really like the way the oli mist off the breather is just left to cock up the bay, even if its ported to ground level. This was the main reason I thought about returning the crank and ISV to the charger and basically just unpluging the return at the TB. Yep, I meant to say that I'd unhook the pipe returning from the TB and put a breather filter (small KN type of affair) on the end where the TB U-bend has been removed. That make sense now? Not looking to get any crap into the charger at all. Its stage 4 and I'm glad you mentioned the possible clogging, thats not something I've heard of before. Thoughts on BOV? Looking at this as it is supposed to improve throttle response. Thanks

Looking to do this mod and either vent it to atmosphere or to BOV. Right, after some opinions from guys who have done this mod. My thoughts are to leave the main pipe on from the TB to the charger but disconnect the pipe from the TB, leaving the crank breather and ISV to go back to (breath into) the charger as they would normally and lube the charger still with oil mist. Is this a viable option? I have searched and most blank off the charger and use PTFE spray which I don't want to rely on. Prefer the idea of the above but just not 100% swung on it. Thoughts please

Looking at some 8.5's and 9'5" rims for the Rado as I'm not feeling the D90's that much. Being new to the Rado I'm after the more experienced of you out there to offer up some advice on what et I'd need to finish them at to get them on ok. Probs run 205's and 215's rubber wise, Thanks
-
Awesome, cheers for that.
-
Gave the car a decent looking over today and it looks fairly good tbh. I'm running the rado daily so I can sort out my mk2, then it will be getting some love

Thanks for the reply, this is what I was hoping for. I have some TT bushes in the garage already so thats cool and will get new fronts. Seen a sleeve advertised for the rear bushes on the wishbones, do you know anything about this aspect of it? I didn't know that you could run the later mk3 top mounts, they look completely different, have you done this? Car suspension is soft as poop and needs doing hence my questions. Just fitted some d90's today (forced to as tyres that came on the car where completely goosed) and gave the suspension a good looking over. All looks pretty fresh and I have recent receipts for all brakes and bearings so it has had a pampered life. Front passenger shock slight leak which obviously will not be helping at all. Thanks for the advice, let meknow about the topmounts, cheers

16 views but not one response. I'm new to Corrado's and the forum as I've always been golf man but I really had hoped for more help guys :(

Pretty new rado owning fool :dorky: . Car is smooth and fast, suspension is standard and is purely aweful, lucky to still be alive :gag: Got some Gaz coils to go on and my question is whether or not the G60 is basically a mk2 golf set-up suspension wise underneath? I want to do it all together so just the one payment for tracking etc so looking to get all parts needed together and hit it in a oner. Mk2 top mounts? Wishbones/bushes etc mk2 also? What about arbs? What is the standard sizes on the G60? Would I be right to think a mk2 rear bar will drop right on and a 4 stud mk3 front? Be interested to find this out as I'm off later this week so weather permitting I'll be doing it then Thanks  Paul
-
Could i ask how much they charged for that? Be interested to know this as well. Mate lives down near Hyde and if they we're a good shop I'd travel for it. Pm if you would please mate, cheers

Just paint I'm hoping but that can wait. Defo not minted but get vertigo so ride height is an issue! :pale: Got a few too many sets of rims but I'm a golf guy so widths and offsets etc on the rado would be good to know for a decent combo. Biggest issue is that I don't own any 4 stud hoops, poop

Alright guys, been lurking on here for a while as I was due a Rado way back when but it just never happened. Just put a deposit down on a Nugget that I'm picking up on Friday. Very tidy car apart from the paint and wheels :( Engine, charger (stage 4) and P&P head all done pretty recently (mileage wise) and boggo standard bar a stainless exhaust and Electric Recaro trim  Went for this as I have a nugget soft spot and tbh I was gutted that the paint was as it is. Don't get me wrong, no rust or the like but its been 'over loved' with paint edges buffed through :epicfail: Rest of the car is very very good. I would like advice/opinions on coilovers, wheel fitment etc and I'll do a post for that somewhere else in the forum I guess G60, not the greatest power, but surely the greatest noise
