Right, been offered a mk2 that I just didn't think would ever get up for sale. The guy knows my back is spanner'd and all car work is on hold (mk2g60 conversion) until at least mid next year. Awesome I hear (a muffled few cry out) but the truth of it is that with all the time off work I have had to have money is close, well tight lol.... Out of nowhere the previous owner of my Rado is looking for it again with a view to buying it. I wasn't that keen on letting it go tbh as I have it almost where I want it barr a little paint (G60 nugget so a touch thin in places due to too much loving). Car owes me nothing and is superb to drive plus the interior is just what I was after. Crazy I know but I have started talks on selling it..............Guy is a good bloke and will look after the car but I am having separation/anxiety issues ;) Am i going mental or something?? Need help!

My First Corrado - Bye Bye Mk2 Golfs! Hello VR6!
gti gadge replied to mookie's topic in Members Gallery
Got to agree with this. All reds look good but the amount of guys that have nearly driven straight through me as I'm sitting indicating has made me have second thoughts. If my laminx technique improved I'd give that a go first. Looks much better on just the standards as is Mike Just the little things (that I still haven't gotten around too like this Mike that turn a good car into a great car. Mine needs some anal attention if you get bored, I just cannot bend over that far still LOL :) Love your attention to detail mate, always have! -

Ha..ha... Knew it would get to you, got me hooked early on aswell. Guess the engine and noise will make it seem alot different to a screaming ABF'd mk2 that hits the ears alot harder than a grumbling angry VR. Totally different seating position aswell that make the car cozy compared to its size. Get your list up of jobs to do Mike and some pics/list of parts your after aswell mate, see if I have any lying about. Chris (LILfuzzer) is a top bloke to have a crack with and he's around your patch, hes got stashes of bits too mate LOL :) -

Nice car Mike, didn't even know you'd got one yet, but hey, I'm slow! Looks a good base, love blackberry's. Hope your enjoying it a touch more now you've sorted a few niggles out. What do you think, ride wise and compared to a mk2? I was pleasantly surprised to say the least mate, been a blast driving mine. I'll be watching this to see where you take it as I loved what you did with your last mk2. -
Bump these back up after holding them for a no-show  Also got UV Rado rears and cards available along with golf UV fronts and spare rado lower frames. :D

They were my old set which I stupidly sold, 8's and 9's BBS Formula F1 gold edition. DOH!! ET 45 with 15mm adaptors would make them a prefered fitment of et as per most site posts for 8's :) PM, I'll be cheaper!! LOL.......
-
I've a set in 17'x 8's all round in 5/114 jap fitment that I bought for a different car. Only reason they are not on the Rado is because it is a nugget and the BBS are the standard gold colour. They are et45 iirc (but I get confused with my old set so would need to double check!) pERFECT FOR rADO FITMENT WITH 15MM ADAPTERS. Whoa...on phone, apologies for mad texting.

Will px against other vw stuff, thanks

Ha..ha...thought it was maybe something I was missing. Must try harder I guess! :D

No probs Chris, should have mention they were early cards but wrote this half asleep mate. On a side note, how have you got emoicons and I ain't?? I like smiling and winkin' at folk Lol (imagine laughing face!)

Having changed my seats last year I have just managed to get the doorcards to match so these are now for sale. These are wrapped black leather door cards. They are a good fit and the leather is in good overall condition. Fronts are very good as you can see from the pics. Rear passenger card has slight creases that will need addressed (don't really see it when its in but could be re-stuck or steamed to relieve this). The cards will come blank without pocket or switches etc and can be sorted for collection via courier if required (at buyer own risk). Collection from Carlisle preffered, £95ono. email [email protected] or text zero75zero24five68three2 Thanks

Things you hate other people do to your car...
gti gadge replied to guildmage's topic in General Car Chat
Wiping dirt off a part of a car and slamming doors has always been a pet hate of mine. Got the Rado and when the doors shut you feel like they will smash to bits LOL.. Worst was the electric Recaro's when people saw they had two switches they just had to use them! Was worse when I just got the car as mates sat in drivers seats and adjusted that too!! Ballbags, take a while to get it 'just so'............. Cured that though, they are sat in my house now ha..ha... -
Going to be fitting a rallye/golf big (standard full width job) FMIC to the corrado later this year. I have the U-bend to go with it and the piping. Is the cooler a direct fit, physically? or are mods needed to get it on and in? Any help appreciated. thanks ---------- Post added at 11:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:14 AM ---------- Similar thread section is better than the search function on here! Had a read through some of the stuff on there and looks ok, some trimming needed. Anyone got any info on what trimming is needed to make it fit?
-
Thanks for the reply mate. Found some info out over at dubforce on this also. Car is stage 4 charger, 68 pulley and jabba intake (want twintake eventually) and tbh it sounds awesome all the time ha..ha.... Probs just going to wait and fit the u bend and cooler when my backs up to it.
-
No irony as only early cars needing them unless a charged VR Stewart warner are a decent gauge but dare I say VDO vision if you want OEM standard. Personally just fitted a stack as I had it anyway and that looks ok (mounted in centre vent with homemade panel for bottom of the console for volts and oil pressure)

Is ' I am gay' the statement your after though. Silver or gunmetal

Yes, after a set for a while mate. Pm sent,

WTB RSR outlet, complete or ?? Let me know guys, thanks
-
Just after any info on the RSR kit and what difference to the noise it makes when removing the silencer box (I'm probs a bit chavvy in that I don't mind louder ha..ha.). Just after some input of the guys running then at the minute and where is the best place to get a kit from? Not 100% sure I am going this way yet as the rado's stay is questionable due to personal issues but eventually I will be fitting the 180 u-bend and g60 cooler set-up from the garage if it does (gasket needed and time!) Thoughts?
-
First is always the worst Jay isn't it mate. All the unknown horrors ha..ha... Mine went back end of last year and all it needed was the numberplate light twisting and the front calliper changed. Well happy with that
-
Not had any input on here really as I had a back injury not long after getting my rado and it is only now, post op that I am getting the niggles sorted. Took the passenger seat out in September 2011 to start, ha..ha... Cables bent due to some ediot messing about underneath and some locating bits snapped off. Over the past few days (I'm a semi-crip so bear with me!!) I have repaired the cable mounts and fitted new cables, Fitted a boost gauge and also a volt and old pressure gauge set-up. Panel made from scrap plastic and all wired in and working. The rado is a pretty decent place to be so I am only looking to tackle any minor things and keep it basically as is. Hope this is to some ones liking. Gauges are yellow as my car is a Nugget G.
-
Cool, Appreciate it mate. Pics and spec of car as well if poss, think there is only about 5 of us left and would like to see what standard spec is inside etc
-
Take them if you'll post. Favour to a fellow nugget G60 owner, can't be many of us left!
-
Right guys, I thoughts I'd tackle the only issue my Rado has (other than tilt only sunroof) and that was the cables (early as G60) slider controls for the temp and directionality of air/blowers. Who ever was last at it needs a decent punch from me but that aside, I need a little help, info. Cables were all bent up and fixings broken, clips missing, you get the picture. Changed out the cables and and I have managed (after much hassle) to get the blue cable and longer black cable sorted and fixed on correctly. Right, my issue. Short black cable fixing. The lever for the flap/flow control is in the wrong position. From the book it should work between 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock, but on mine this has been put back together wrong I guess as it works from 3 to 6 meaning there is no way the cable can work it or be fixed on. Does anyone know if this lever will pull off allowing it to be reattached in the correct orientation or if it that the flap has been refitted wrong?? Hard to see as its right up inside the back of the dash. Need some help/input from someone who knows how this comes apart or that has access to an exploded diagram (etka maybe) so that I can sit down and figure it out. Backs already feeling massacred from just a few sessions upside down, inside out so I just need some input to get me going again, thanks guys.
