  1. The trick with this one is to add in a piece of plain white paper (cut to size) in front of the bulb / LED as well as the standard filter, helps diffuse the glow a bit more. Worked fine with my rado and my mk3 golf Ollie
  2. My 92 C has some earlier parts and some later. The sunroofs didn't close til the later dash was put in so late 92/93 (K reg) Ollie
  3. Thanks bcstudent I'll give that I try. Literally been tearing my hair out about it! Funnily enough its been better since the engine has been steam cleaned (it was a horrific oily mess when I got it. looked like an engine slasher movie!) Watch this space! Ollie
  4. Hi, I've recently aquired a 92 2.0 16v 'rado which had many problems when I got it which most have been sorted. From cold it is a bitch to start and when it does is won't idle, almost like there is no "choke'. I've checked the 5th injector seems ok. Recently i've changed: Cap Rotor Leads Plugs Cleaned engine earths Cleaned ISV Cleaned throttle body / intake Also, sometimes the car refuses to start unless you floor the throttle when cranking it over. This has got less common since the above stuff was done but there's no pattern to when it does it. When its running its runs sweet as so I can't figure it out. Help!!! Cheers Ollie PS its the old 9a engine
  5. Further to the last message (with the apalling spelling) I've just tried that blue/white wire behind the stereo and it was connected to the electric areial feed. I've cut and insulated it and now my spoiler works perfectly! Yay! :D Many thanks for all the help
  6. Thanks alot people. urely the wiring to the tailgate must be ok cos the spoiler works fine using the manual switch? Any ideas? Thanks again.
  7. Count me in for a set if there's any left?? The other thing to try is take the bulbs out of the top of the dash pod and the filter under neath and replace with blue LEDs. I did this on my mk3 golf (same principle as the C) and you need about 8 in total. Just drill small holes in the top of the pod (where the bulbs were) and insert LEDs and solder them all up. Contact me if you need more detailed info
  8. :x I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but my rear spoiler works fine manually but refuses point blank to work on auto ie when i reach 80 its still down?? I've tried a new relay / control box (behind the dash) and the VW dealer said it might be the speed transducer but my speedo is electronic and works fine!! Help!!!:?: its a 95 VR6 if that helps Many thanx Ollie
