Here's hoping the new year weather in Plymouth is 'Stormy'....
-
I think Sean's green storm is a 94 so guess it's possible, however I find it strange that someone in the cars life has tried to make a genuine storm look like a non storm. Rog.

Try wiggling the ing key about, the stereo supply comes from the switch and is live when the key is in, the action of the key sliding into the barrel operates the switch. Rog.

Advise - problem with lock-up garage, letting agents evasive..
Roger Chatfield replied to Jim's topic in Off-topic Chat
I have a little experience with this, basically I rent a small property and have recently had to evict the tenants after things got a bit nasty, I was very naive when I first rented the place (over 15 years ago) and took a lot on trust but after a nightmare 7 odd months and no rent I now have a very good knowledge of rental law... and can tell you the odds are very heavily stacked in the favour of the tenants. Anyway, my advice, send a letter recorded delivered (or email, as long as you have a record) stating that the door is damaged and you would like it fixed asap as the security of the garage is compromised... include loads of contact options so they can't say that they couldn't contact you... send it from your father but state that you are you are acting as his representative and he gives permission to them to deal with you direct. Next, wait a while, I think a week is reasonable, then if nothing happens send another recorded letter, wait another week and if again nothing happens stop paying rent, send another letter stating that you are with holding rent until the issues you raised in the letter you sent (dates sent etc) are addressed, state that the rent money is being held in a holding account until the repair is carried out... hopefully things should start to happen after that... as folk have said above, letters or emails are your best choice of communication as they are traceable, telephone conversations are next to useless even if you have recorded them. Good luck. Rog. -
When are you down mate?? A few of us (basically me and Rob) are thinking a little South west Corrado Christmas meet is in order, maybe the day after boxing day. Rog.

Ah, Pininfarina, designer of one of the most beautiful cars ever built... CLICK ME BTW, Love that pen. Rog. -
I didn't know that, just thought it was to stop stuff entering the engine, like a course filter. Rog.
-
Just remove it mate, as long as the air filter is fitted nothing is going to get through to the maf. Rog.

My rather sad collection... Animal tide watch...this thing must be 20 odd years old...sits in my bedside drawer gathering dust...lol Citizen GN-4-S, bought this for peanuts whilst on a Caribbean trip many moons ago... My eldest son now wears it as his daily. My daily, a Casio G-7700 G-shock, I love this watch, had for over 10 years and wear it 24/7, I wear it at work and it takes a real battering, I just wash it off with the nail brush in the shower... it's on its second battery and third strap (the straps go brittle, I think the oils and greases at work degrade the rubber). I cant recommend a G-Shock enough.. true work horses. And last but not least... my bestie... a Edifice EQS-500... Basically a posh Casio.... I got this when l left the Navy (3 years ago) really wanted to spoil myself with a Speedmaster but couldn't justify the expense so ended up with this... over the moon with it, nice and comfy to wear, looks good and has all the bells and whistles... I only wish I could wear it more but most days I'm either working or have something in bits so it'll get trashed. And the dream watch, the one I wanted but couldn't afford. Omega Mk 40 Speedmaster. Rog. Rog.

What coolant and bleeding tips please
Roger Chatfield replied to Roger Chatfield's topic in Engine Bay
Personally I'd use the ebay ones, NASA doesn't have a very good track record when it comes to O seals. Rog. -
What coolant and bleeding tips please
Roger Chatfield replied to Roger Chatfield's topic in Engine Bay
Jim, personally I'd use the o rings you have, the 'proper' ring from Heritage wasn't quite thick enough and ended up leaking so I got a seal from our seal kit at work (same as your) I think the problem I had is the fact that I have a pattern part rad so maybe the top opening is very slightly bigger, the seal from work was ideal. That kit you linked to is a bargain, certainly a lot cheaper than one OE seal from heritage. Rog. -
Isn't this ChrisL's old car?? Rog.

Get yourself an old Omega, something like a 60's or 70's speed master, it'll last for ever and go up in value. Doing the maths it appears that your 40th is approaching, I think it would be quite cool to have a watch the same age as yourself. I always planned to get myself a 1969 speedmaster (first watch on the moon and the choice of the Apollo astronauts) but alas I didnt have that sort of money. Seamaster is good choice as well (what James Bond wears) Rog.

I bought the first one I looked at.... And tbh... It's a cracker..

Nice one, good luck and hopefully welcome to the club, out of interest what model is it. Rog.

Good find, I've posted a link on the CRX forum, let's see how that goes down...lol Rog.

Mate, I've just re read through the whole post and was wondering if you just changed the pump or the whole abs unit. The pump just provides the pressure so if it's gone I think you would get different faults. The valves are actually contained in the module that is under the pump, I think yours and my problems are to do with one of the valves failing in the module. I've got a replacment module and pump complete here ready to fit, I'm getting a module plug from Sean soon so will make a test rig to test the module valves, I'll fit it if it checks out ok. In other news, I've also got just a module here, I'll check that out at the same time, if it's good and valves operate ok you are more than welcome to it. Rog.

What codes you getting? Rog.
