  1. Well we got the local specialsit around tonight for a quick look b4 the footie,he didnt miss much (6 goals so far EEK ) 8) we had spare ht leads but he checked and no spark from COIL ! after about 5 minutes hes narrowed it down to a wafer like thing that sites behind/below the scuttle panel. he has a 2nd hand one for me to try tommorow hes certain that will be it as the cars 'pretty low tech' and I think you get 5 and 7 pin ones if that helps you techies narrow it down a bit. he said something about converting to digital signal or summit,Ive been ont he go since 4.30am so wasnt quite with it ! car comes with guard dog m8,you gotta get past her to drive her Baby ;-) just dont say I called her that ! lol he reckons its that as its been laid up for so long,so will let you all know tommorow If not Im gonna print off hennys list ! cheers

  11. I work for a LPG company,LPG has many green issues and I applaud that, but, LPG is very hard on valves,if they are not the hardened type you will burn them out. the old way of not burning them out was to use 3 fills of gas and one fill of petrol (4star) Propane gas if setup right will give same power as petrol, insurance companies dont charge anymore if lpg system is fitted. LPG in cars is enormous in Belgium,Holland and Italy, but you cant use channel tunnel if you have a LPG car. if proceeding make sure they are LPGA approoved, they have a website(http://www.lpga.co.uk) and the quality counts as you wouldnt let anyone install a gas boiler in your house would you ? maintinance, ach well there aint much, just a filter every 3 years or so. the sales and tech boys have vauxhalls and they do dip in power if the engines small regardless of what they tell you if under heavy load. http://www.lpg-vehicles.co.uk/ http://www.calor.co.uk/hmpg/hmpgdisplaylev1.asp?catid=5 Im surprised noone has mentioned shoving a TDI in the COrrado yet ! doughnut tanks are inobtrusive or use a cylinder tank if boot is full of ice anyway ( so no boot at all ) hope all this helps, more beer for me ! 8)

    IS THERE HOPE?

80,000 miles on A G60 ! .... well consider checking to see if charger has been overhauled. I was advised to listen for rustling leaves and when you can hear that avoid. I have a 16v and realise there is a differance between A g60 with a charger rebuild due and a VR6 requiring a new timing chain. If you can avoid things and this place is a superb place to read about problematic 'characteristics of the vehicle' you can assured of a good car. Maybe you only hear about the bad things,as bad news travels fast. I think it depends on what your going to do with the car when you get it..... Mod it ? polish n port it ? or just keep it as it is ? Someone mentioned a £100 for a service I reckon thats cheap if its been done right. I tend to do the simple things and let the mechanic who your paying for his expertise to do the things I cant comprehend. Its down to buying the right corrado even if you pay a bit more for it,its better than cutting corners in the first place. You can buy cheap Corrados...sure,but I would rather pay a little more for what you know in your head is right and your not going to have it a week and find something serious is wrong with it. I bought the sixth one I went to see/spoke to owner about I consider that being Prudent. DO they have A.A.A inspections there like the A.A have here might be well worth the $100 dolalrs or so for peace of mind, just make sure the inspector knows corrados and thier 'Characteristics ;-) ' Remember the main posters here are a mind of Information..... Good Luck Chubbles
  17. The stripey ones remind me of Starky and Hutch ! for all you old dogs out there woof woof
  18. you could be charged with carrying an offensive weapon. Carry a bat oh and the cops usually ask if your carrying one 'wheres the ball to go with it' keep that in mind. you would be far better carrying the biggest maglight you can buy
