  1. the 195/50 is slightly lower than the 185/55, but it's not significant. This website will tell you all you need to know: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Thanks Geo,I think Im gonna save some cash 8)
  2. CHECK OUT THE SELLERS NAME TOO
  3. does the 195/50/15 make up for the 185/55/15 the 185 size is such an expensive size probably due to the lack up uptake. will the speedo be near enough ( in Me Invernessian accent ?) :?:
  4. The wife went into the dealers and asked for a 5 litre tub of Silver synta well anyway the parts man said they were giving away free oil filters to go with the oil so £17 for 5 litres of silver synta and a freebee vw filter and yes she does have cleavage  that was at Hawcos in Inverness
  5. Theres a 50mm one on Ebay I dont think its finished yet cheers
  6. The only thing I heard was that it killed the OE oil coolers on the VR's but I don't know how someone can really prove that... I assume the Silver Syntha we use is just unbranded Castrol GTX without the 'magnatec' I thought synta silver was semi synthetic oil and synta gold was fully synthetic. where as ordinary castrol GTX is just ordinary Oil. Me brov uses magnatec and values it,he uses it in his Omega Elite. Castrol oils are used by many garages and it is bought in bulk, thats how you see the tanker floating around topping up the garages, owned by the Burma group nothing to do with 'Be Undressed Ready My Angel...' Ordinary castrol GTX might be a thicker viscosity too. Has anyone played with the timing ?
  7. Some Looney passed me on the ord of caithness today in a silver 'H' plated 16 valver on a blind corner feckin numpty could of killed him if somthing was coming . .Rant over
  8. :-P HAHA The wife does that,I used to think look at that idiot who cant park now I see the other side of the coin  She trys to find two parking spaces alone and then straddles them ,maybe this is in the wrong section of them forum
  9. I was checking out a new one the other day,the calipers were green,I presume from the factory....... The Leon is a nice drive, far better than a ibiza anyway !
  10. Ive just looked at this Cupra pic,its a Leon isnt it ? so it has an audi a3 floorpan or was it a golf, heck I cant remember now ! maybe it was both
  11. The Cupra has a really bad problem with depreciation. i worked for a seat dealers and they did struggle to shift their demos, cheaper than hot hatches for sure, but its let down a bit by equipment as the build no matter how they say they are in the vw fold is never the same. please bear in mind this was roughly 7-8 years ago. I think people pay seat money and expect a vw golf or whatever,it isnt the case or I would have one of those fabia 6 speed diesels as I would want to laugh at the posh badges being smoked by me tdi ....probably in more ways than one if theres excess fuel going thru after opening the pump up 'a bit' hehe
  12. Steveo29,thats what I thought when I saw it, I've blown a few hydraulic hoses over the years,be it power steering or hydraulic drives on me truX. Theres a company up here called 'hydrasun',perteks up ere too. and like most they have an 'onsite' service, might be worthy of a ring I think if you cant source an oem part. failing that Im sure a real mechanic could make somthing up :-P
  13. Welcome, any pics of your car to show ?
  14. I think I want to be sick........... :gag: :pukeright: :halfrobot:
  15. I insure the main car ( a mitsubishi ) for £220 :-P and tell them I have a 2nd car the corrado and get that for £180 :-P both fully comp and protected no claims. they gave me an instant max no claims on 2nd one. 8) I am 35 and squaw is 33 This is with Norwich union direct. I hope this helps  Chubbster
  16. I like the engine bay,very nice indeed ! 8)
  17. are these cars the same age ? I thought 2.0 engines were introduced because of the cats ?
  18. i think you need the logbook or the reminder of the tax renewal hope this helps chubbz
  19. I love the Rims,How much do they work out at over there ? :?:
  20. Was it raining,ABS has a habit of tripping out in heavy rain due to wet sensors,I dont know if the corrado has a blink code setup to tell you the fault like some vehicles, sorry I cant help more :|
  21. aww probably a shed anyway your better with a golf anyway :) and just noticed theres no washer fluid in bottle so badly maintained
  22. We appear to get the same looks with our corrado and we did with our triffic mk1 golf gti in llasa green. Lots of 30 year olds sadling for position along side usually with the girlfriend glaring as its usually the wife driving :-P we laugh the most though as they usually have a Tdi Golf or an R32 and they are gawping at our old car that appears as standard, met someone in thesafeways carpark the otherday checking out the dealer service sticker that states next service 60,000 miles and he was wondering how its milage was so low and was it forsale etc. everything passes us on the dual carriageway as she only does 3,000 rpm in each gear,so its like driving miss daisy when the squwaw is driving......... mind you a mod has told me a 16valver needs a good rogering hmm.....
  23. Sounds like its good to go :-D If thats your golf the BBS alloys will look good on the Corrado chubbz
