    Can anyone tell me what colour the wires are to the throttle body on my L reg 16v 9a as i have 3 plugs all that fit and not sure which one it is?

    could well be an ecu fault mate, just had this on my polo, if it doesnt run then it could be the immobiliser, try the spare key. works sometimes.
