  1. Hi there, there are 2 micro relays there jointed onto the special bracket. This loom covers dipped, main beam and slaves the sidelights. So the whole car is covered. :) Thanks
  2. Hi all, I made up an uprated headlight loom for my 'rado. Whilst I was at it, I got a couple of extra sets of the original connectors so I made up a few spare looms if anyone wants them. Comes fully completed and ready to fit with soldered joints, no poor quality crimping. 2 Minute installation. £40 posted should take it with the fitting instructions. I can also sell the connectors on their own at £15/Pair PM me if interested. Thanks for looking
  3. Sounds a little like the fast idle has only been caused by moving the dizzy. basically your problem should be traced to why the car was flat before, maybe camshaft timings? or a vacuum leak. just food for thought

    idle problems

I agree with BMW, only thing to add is that you can test the ISV electrically to. if you unplug it and put a multimeter across it you should get between 4-12 ohms iirc. :)
  5. That sounds like the pressure build up is causing it to come out of the header tank over flow. :(
  6. Quite rightly so, id place the cardboard underneath and check the carpets. But as stuart says it sounds a lot like a head gasket. the gasket can go in one of 3 ways; oil to bore, results in smokey exhaust and potentially big oil pressure. Oil to water, results in may and pressure of header tank and finally, what it sounds like you have here, water to bore. will pressurise up the system and cause coolant loss with the symptoms you describe. If you need a hand give me a shout, I'm only a couple of minutes up the road from you I think.
  7. Just cut to the waste side of the weld, outer and inner sills are useful if theyre good. and rear arch sections for those interested in doing less serious repairs lol. I would just use a slitting disc. Hope this helps.
  8. 21, got my Valver on my 17th birthday :) best present ever.
  9. It should be mounted on the servo, near the drivers front turret. don't think there is a difference on the master for ABS or not as the takeoffs are on the reservoir. Hope this helps.
  10. Hello, Very nice looking car, what colour is it? I love the colour. James
  11. Mine did this when It got water in the connection, worth a thought..
  12. There should be several across the bottom underneath the weather strip. just open the door and poor water over the outside of it and see where the water runs out. if they were blocked you'd hear it sloshing about. Yeah any spray or good coverage adhesive will work for the membranes. The only other thing I have seen once on a Corrado is when the rear arches rust from the inside out, like they generally do. a few holes appear inside the rear arch, then the water sprays into the inner sill. Once the car gets warm, this evaporates until it hits the cool metal of the inner rear quarter skin before condensing and running down to under the rear seats. It's amazing how much water gathers there in a short space of time. Ta
  13. Had this many-a-time before, if its beyond the kick harder method you could get a lever bar against the mount for the bottom ball joint and level against the back of the rim. best to wrap the bar in a cloth to avoid wheel damage. also shock impacts will loosen corrosion far more than gradually applied force so if you can incorporate the two together then nothing can stand in your way :) EDIT: A not dissimilar skim read fail from me also, however not all is lost as everyone has given some good solutions to a problem that many will face :)
  14. Hello, Could possibly have blocked drain holes in the door, although its more likely that there is a break in the door seal higher up causing the ingress of water. Rear windows are bonded so unless they've been taken out they shouldn't be leaking. Is it a sunroof model because if the drain tube is blocked/damaged water may well run down the inside of the rear quarter appearing to come from the window. worth a check I guess. Hope this helps.

    9a to abf

Depends weather you want to continue to run the KE jet injection or weather you want to change it to the digital one on the ABF..? If you're happy to continue to run the KE jet, )which I personally think is quite good) then it should just be a case of changing the block and head over and keeping all of the 9a ancillaries. Hope this helps.
  16. Ha, Some people just shouldn't go near cars. I often find things that make my mind boggle. :S
  17. Cheers for all the help guys, I got the numbers off ETKA, rang vw got carried away and spent £100+ lol
  18. I keep trying but they never seem to be able to find them for me. does anyone have the exploded diagram?? :)
  19. That's a good shout, I'm just not too sure how to measure them up as the original o ring has perished :(
  20. Hello all, I am in need of the front and side water flange O rings and a sump gasket for a 2.0L 16V. Anyone got these or know a good supplier, I cant seem to get the right O-rings. Thanks for your help, James
  21. Lovely car, would love some more information on the turbo build, thinking of doing one myself.
  22. Second that also, but it may well be the battery. Just doesn't quite fit the symptoms. :)
  23. I don't think a dead battery will cause the car to die whilst its running. sounds more like a wiring failure or something to me. would be worth checking the voltage at the fusebox as a starting place.
  24. Nah they all work when the switch goes, it just will only send the pulse to the starter occasionally as the contacts burn out in the plastic. Cheers
