Dubpower also do smaller and cheaper leads, i think 7 or 8 mm. I cant recommend the quality enough. Oh and no i have no ties to them other than a satisfied customer.

I can recommend dubpower. see here http://dubpower.co.uk/HT%20leads.HTM I have just fitted their 10mm silicone leads. Very good quality, look the tits and even better was the price. Only trouble was the 10mm ones dont fit the plastic engine cover so had to do some trickery with some cable ties but looks and goes awesome now. Dubpower were very helpful and delivered next day. Just ask for pete or sharon i think. Hope this helps. cheers jez

does the corrado have a factory fitted sub? The rca leads i took out had a switch cable and there was a spare cable with the earth and power cables which i removed running front to back under the carpet. The wires in question are clipped inside the rear quarter and run down the side of the car. pretty sure they are factory fitted wires but just dont know what they would be for. will get a meter on them tomorrow and see if there is any voltage there. Might also have the rear side panel off to see where it goes. cheers jez

just tidying the wiring mes from a previous owners alarm and ice install. have found wires in boot that were tapped into the boot light for the alarm. But when i have tidied up the extra wires from custom wiring i have too many wires for the boot light. I have a light blue wire and a black wire and also have a dark royal blue wire and a brown wire that are a twin cored balck cable that runs towards the front of the car and is properly clipped into the wiring harness so i assume is original. Does anyone know what the wires are all for? everything works as it should at the back ie spoiler, wiper, lights so i am at a loss what these wires will be for? anyone with any help or links to a wiring diagram would be great. Have done a search and cant find a diagram, but i did find one yesterday but foolishly did not save it and cant find it again today doh!!

Just to add to your post, i had problems with mine at idle, idle speed fluctuating, cutting out and hesitating at 1500rpm sometimes when sitting at lights. cleaned up throttle body, isv, and maf no change. Deleted isv damper, no change. Changed fuel filter, Wow what a difference, car pulls much better and no more hesitation or cutting out. Seems the filter was an original VW one that had been on there for 80k+ miles. Sometimes its the simple things! :D Just wish my abs problem was so simple to sort out :(

Thanks i will try and test them. I unplugged the blue sensor and it made no difference. However checked the ht leads last night and several are arcing in the plug holes. These were the plugs which were black/fouled when i pulled them so maybe this may be the cause of my stuttering problem. Still have no clue on the high idle. will try and get it plugged in and see what errors there are. cheers jez

? BTS = blue temp sensor ?? :confused4:

OOOh let me know how you get on. i have just had this same problem, checked wiring, cleaned isv, throttle body, maf etc adjusted the throttle stop and damper still wont idle below 1000 rpm. Have also noted like you the blue sensor theory. sounds feasable as mine does not rev any higher when cold which would seem to indicate its stuck in cold start mode if there is such a thing. I also have a vacuum leak on my brake servo pipe which i am going to fix first and see if it makes any difference but i doubt it as when i block it with my finger it does not alter the idle. Guess we will see who gets a blue sensor first :D cheers jez

Thanks for your reply but i may have been a bit heavy handed and fooked it with a screwdriver trying to force it already. Pretty sure it wasn't making a noise before though, well not that i could hear over the aux heater pump! Have tried to adjust the idle with the adjustment screw on the butterfly and the damperpot but since cleaning everything with carb cleaner it wont idle below 1000rpm. At least it will idle now but i think its a bit high and it does not seem to make any difference hot or cold. i am suspecting the coolant sensor, any ideas if i am on the right track? if so how can i test the coolant sensor. i have a multimeter. Also very occasionally the car seems to refuse to pick up from idle and just cuts out rapidly in succession making the car kangeroo for a few secs. is this related to the isv or something else. Any help greatfully recieved. I have been messing with vw's for years but this is my first corrado and my first foray into the world of fuel injection etc. Think i may have to learn fast. cheers jez :D

Okay just a quickie i have done searches and come to the conclusion my isv may be faulty. So took it off the vr6 and cleaned up with carb spray so all nice and shiny. A previous post said check the spring mechanism so i tried to move the flap that partly covered one of the holes but it did not move. Is this supposed to move when not plugged in or does it need power to move. I am new to these computer fangled cars, give me a set of twin dcoe's any day :D cheers jez
