  3. even i manged to clear 260 kPH on my corrado !! ...that's an indicated 162mph!!!! 8) BTW, Sukh, loving the new rims........car looks superb!!
  4. Welcome back fella!! Nice to see you've gently ran the VR in then LOL............and yes, get them pics up!! 8)
  5. As stated, the 4x4 running gear although great for traction off the line, accounts for some serious drivetrain losses. I've seen power graphs for an AMD chipped 4motion, before 218bhp, after 239bhp (R32 territory!) but it was only putting down 150ish at the wheels!!! Drivetrain losses were about 80-90bhp!!  ...a lighter, well specced 2wd G60 would give an R32 a run for it's money I reckon?...
  6. Can 'any' engineering/machine shop lighten a standard flywheel, or is there a bit of an 'art' to it?.... :?
  7. That car looks tough as old boots mate!! The cage is mental too......
  8. Ah-haaa!....so you have one extra long bolt I take it? That doesn't sound to bad actually.....hmmm, now where did i put those TT Competitions?...
  9. ...Hmmm, how safe are they tho? Especially as you only have one bolt holding the adapter to the hub, and then 4 bolts placing additional stress on the adapter?!! :?:
  10. Just a note to say 'thanks' to John for sending me another pair of polishing cloths out as the initial pair was lost in the post!! Excellent service, and I would highly recommend anyone to buy any cleaning products from this fella.......I know I certainly will be!! Well done John!.. Thank You.

  18. Used an Aqua-blade for a couple of years - very good, ideal for agetting the large areas of water off, then use the chamois to finish off...

    Porsche Wheels

Hmmm....maybe, due to the 'known' problem with stripping threads?...are they new?..

The only thing to be careful of when using the alloy H&R adapters is to not over-tighten the wheel bolts into the adapter as you can strip the threads ie. steel bolts into alloy threads. I managed to do this on mine  and I know of a few other guys who did the same.....it's easily done! Might be worth getting them heli-coiled first imo..
  22. They're Artec L's , prob 9x16s I reckon......sweet!!
  23. I had a non-fault prang on my mk2 Golf rear qtr about 4.5 years ago. I was living in Reading at the time but wanted the car repaired back at home in Coventry at the local BMW approved repair garage (owner is my dads mate). They gave me a brand spanking new 318iS coupe for two weeks while mine was repaired....sorted!! Was nice and comfy although it didn't have much poke imo....needs to be a BMW 6pot really!
  24. Lovely car...............only one things bugs me tho - he's gone to all that effort to create this stunning C, and the front number plate looks like it's been stuck on as an afterthought?..... :| Would have looked much nicer if he'd judt stuck it under the bumper mesh imo...? (and yes, I know, I'm a fussy b*stard!)
