vr6storm is correct, I have a pair of leather Sapphire Cosworth recaros in my Golf, which have had Scirocco subframes supplied/fitted to them by MJ. NB: these recaros may be for sale soon, as I am having the Audi TT recaros fitted soon. (the TT seats tilt forward, whereas the Ford ones dont :( )

I think the stuff you are talking about is called 'Marley Tape' and is available from B&Q. The sound-off guys use this for doors, rear qtrs etc because it is cheaper and lighter - and you can save the Dynamat for the boot where the subs will casue the most vibrations!! :D

There's the following for sale on the PVW website if anyone is interested.... 8) corrado - full leather recaro electric trim in black incs door cards out of a 95 vr6 £550+ vat mailto:[email protected] - 01332 371819 (derby)

I have spoken to MJ Interiors about welding Corrado subframes onto TT seats for my Mk2 Golf and he says they can be done as the TT subframe is a similar bolted/welded frame to the Mk2/Mk3 Golfs. The Mk4's are totally different as their runners have integral wheels which makes it difficult to modify. Give them a call, asI have seen these seats in plenty of Mk1/Mk2s/Corrados in the German VW mags. HTH :D

Second one down looks nice....even has personalised number plate?! :D
-
Yep, they're the sort of flat-faced rims with D-shaped holes - they're called Design 90. I'm sourcing a set for my Golf, 8x16 all round, and getting them fully polished. A lot of the Euro Vw's are running them and I reckon you'll see loads of Veedubs at Inters with these wheels... 8) :D

Blimey> was that with one of Elephants approved repairers? Is it not always possible to have your car repaired at your preferred garage rather than the insurance companies, as long as it is approved? Or do they have specific contracts with their own repairers?

I think you can get the Porsche replica wheels from places like Wheelmania etc. What about a Porsche breakers for some genuine Cups, you will require the H&R adapters though to go from 5x100 to 5x130 PCD. HTH :D

Try http://www.swoshh.com over in Daventry. Speak to a chap called Sat and tell him that Dalj from Cov gave you the details. They have a supplier who will fit Toad Alarms at good prices. They can also do alloys, ICE etc. HTH

Looking good Darren, any figures from the rollers?.. 8) I take it the car will be on display at Inters?..

Jim> try Asylum Motorsport on Torrington Ave, Tile Hill. Nigel is the main man there, and they are very good. Insurance approved bodyshop, and they also do any custom work. I have some mates who have had work done from them and well pleased, in fact, my car is going to them in May for rear qtr panel (slight dent/crease) and he is painting/fitting my Golf Rallye front end at the same time. Their number is 024 7647 3857 :D

I'm 31  , and still pottering around in my Mk2 Golf 16v! Nearly sold it and bought a Corrado VR6 Storm, or E36 BMW M3 about 2yrs ago but got my sensible head on and bought a house instead!! :? Hopefully, the Golf will be getting Corrado power this year....not sure which although I am leaning towards VR rather than G60..... :D -
Cheers Andi! :D

Not as far as i'm aware - I've just taken pics of the mag pics!!
-
Technical Support Analyst for computer outsourcing group. Trying to get into Voice/Telecomms Support/Installation. :D Most of my cash has been going on the house, but soon it shall be completed and then the car (Golf 16v) will be 'spoilt'...........not literally!! :D
-
They are JPEGs, saved on my hard-drive. I can email them to you if you can host them? :D Cheers
-
I have taken some snaps of the Corrado feature from VW Speed mag to be featured next month in PVW. If anyone can host the pics, I'll email them to you. How's that for an exclusive!! Cheers! :D
-
G60Jet> that's the one, but now the top half is reddish/burgundy! :? Also, I have a feature of next months Corrado, I'll try and get some scans - it is stunning, esp the engine bay!!
-
Anyone seen the latest issue? Got mine yesterday through sub, and it has a really low black Corrado 16v with smooth bumpers, big ICE etc and another totally mad red/cream one from Spain with a crazy bodykit, Fiat Barchetta handles, Harley Davison mirrors, and Seat rear clusters!!! Next month's issue has a super smooth Corrado aswell!! 8) :D Bring 'em on!
-
Sounds expensive - there's a full show Corrado VR6 supercharged for sale on the PVW classifieds for £8.5k!! It was featured in the Golf Mag last month or so, and has been rolling roaded at Stealth with 250+bhp - it's got 17" BBS splits, Leather/Alcantara trim (inc headlining!), Nakamichi/JL music, Audi handles etc etc...lot of car for the money IMO. Receipts for £16k!! I know which one I would go for........ :D 8)
-
Yeh, I sometimes drive up there as a mate lives not too far way, but 'beautiful original' and blue is certainly not mine! Mine's Jade Green, on 9x16" rims and not many original parts!!! 8)

That is quite surprising guys, but I suppose the C has more power at the wheels due to 4wd losses etc? I definitely want a C VR6 next!!!! Good work fellas.... :D
