1. Price reduced to £55.00 + £6.50 delivery, bargain !
2. For sale A pair of brand new NGK BKR5EKUP spark plugs for the VR6 engine. Boxed of course. £10 free postage. When I owned a VR6 I always kept two of these at home, as the plugs in Cylinders 1 & 6 did not last as long as the rest due to oil consumption on those cylinders.
3. Set of 4, front axle are 13mm thick (26mm track increase), rear axle are 16mm thick (32mm track increase), includes H&R longer bolts. Superb quality and in excellent condition. Originally cost £125 ish. now £55.00 + £6.50 delivery https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132601465186?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
4. over £250 quid in the end for a couple of bits of trim, mental. I'm sure a month ago there was an eBay seller doing genuine roof mouldings for £130 a pair, located in Poland, but a week later all traces of the seller/listing were gone.
5. Late wings have more of a bulge on the arch profile, to suit the slightly wider track of late plus suspension. Early wings are a bit flatter. Difficult to tell the difference from photos but you might be able to work it out if you look at some pics taken from the front of car/looking down/along the wings. Your headlights look correct, late ones were flush to the wings/bonnet edge. Grille is correct. Seems odd that an M plate would have early parts, my old K plate G60 had late bonnet/wings/bumper/headlights/grille/fogs. I'd say the bumper has been replaced incorrectly. Nice colour/wheels combo by the way.
6. Very nice. I recently got a 320i Touring MSport, similar colour, although it is the old shape (2010) Great car, but so far much less reliable than my 20 years with VW's!
7. Ditto check the coilpack, bolted to side of the engine. The plastic usually cracks, flood water will get in there. Can be dried out and sealed with epoxy.
8. £120 starting bid. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132325907355?_mwBanner=1&redirect=mobile
9. I didn't come across anyone who seemed like they were a trader. I probably could of sold it on here but I didn't do that many viewings to start with so I lost a couple of people who went off and bought other corrados. The serious buyers view then spend time getting inspections or prices for body repair etc. So it takes a while. It was worth putting it on ebay, although you get 200 stupid enquiries, there are some good buyers who aren't aware of the forum. Surprisingly there were loads of ebayers that were willing to pay £3k to buy it unseen, as part of some £6k show car/respray project, where mechanicals did not matter so much to them, imo they would be better buying a cheap tatty one to restore. Lots of serious interest as well though that didn't get in quick enough.
10. SOLD for pretty much asking price 😭😭😭 Gutted....odd feeling watching a car you've looked after for 10 years being driven off by someone else. But it is going to a good home, the new owner is a VW man and a mechanic and has been looking for a C for years. He has a garage all ready for it and the rust areas are going to be sorted properly. It will be seen at the VW shows in the future and I'm sure he'll be joining the Corrado forum soon. I'll probably look to buy another one in about 10 years when I have more time on my hands and have a garage (prices will probably be mental then!)
11. Metallic red Corrado driving along Chester Road , Stretford Manchester yesterday 5pm ish. First one I've seen for a long time!
12. Thanks for the comments. I must be mad. It will be painful seeing her go!
13. Hi,

Just seen your post on the sale page. I've got a couple of viewings already lined up - viewing Sunday afternoon might be possible but probably best if I let you know nearer to the time if it is still available, or someone cancels.

14. For sale, my 1996 'N' Corrado VR6 in Classic Green Pearl, with full original black heated leather interior. ** MOT carried out last week, so almost 12 months MOT remaining ** 139k miles. 3 former keepers. HPI clear. I've owned this car for 10 years! Corrado Club member. The previous owner had it featured in the Corrado Club magazine (I have a copy of it somewhere!) and then emigrated to Canada. Driven carefully, in regular use, I've averaged 6K a year of motorway commuting/weekend runs, but in the last 3 years I've only done about 2k per year. It drives beautifully, smooth and powerful. My previous cars - a Corrado G60, and before that a mk2 GTi, so i've been a VW enthusiast for nearly 20 years now. It has wanted for nothing mechanically. I've modified little, maintaining it to a high standard and keeping it clean & waxed. Only ever hand washed in my ownership using Swissvax products & carnauba wax. Lots of VAG service history/VW specialist history from previous owners. 12 stamps in the service book - 7 years of main dealer servicing, then 4 years of Autowerke & Star performance Regular services - 1996 10,500 miles Volkswagen Barnsley 1997 21,041 miles Volkswagen Barnsley 1998 38,443 miles Volkswagen Barnsley 1999 49,324 miles Volkswagen Mansfield 2000 51,705 miles Volkswagen Mansfield 2001 55,452 miles Volkswagen Mansfield 2002 59,574 miles Volkswagen Mansfield 2003 70,360 miles Autowerke (Bosch) Performance Car centre 2004 75,515 miles Autowerke (Bosch) Performance Car centre 2005 77,969 miles Autowerke (Bosch) Performance Car centre 2006 87,715 miles Star Performance Ltd 2007 96,236 miles (Self serviced, Silkolene 10w/50 Full Synthetic oil, VAG filter.) 2008 106,913 miles (Self serviced, Silkolene 10w/50 Full Synthetic oil, VAG filter.) 2009 109,200 miles (Self serviced, Silkolene 10w/50 Full Synthetic oil, VAG filter.) 2010 121,000 miles (Self serviced, VW Spec Quantum Synta Oil, VAG filter.) 2012 127,000 miles (Self serviced, VW Spec Quantum Synta Oil, VAG filter.) 2013 134,010 miles (Self serviced, VW Spec Quantum Synta Oil, VAG filter.) 2014 136,000 miles (Self serviced, VW Spec Quantum Synta Oil, VAG filter.) 2016 pending parts (Self serviced, VW Spec Quantum Synta Oil, VAG filter.) I've spent hundreds of hours maintaining it, using the best parts and never rushing a job. Lots of work done in the last 10k miles, with thick folder of receipts for work done and parts purchased. Yearly oil and filter changes (Genuine oil filter & Synta Silver semi-synthetic oil) All other service items carried out to book schedule (Air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, brake fluid changes etc.) Sunroof tilts & slides perfectly. Reason for Sale - An ever expanding family (recent second baby) and a long term house renovation project - ideally now I need an old estate car - I could keep the Corrado for weekends but I think the time has come for someone else with a bit more time on their hands to cherish this Corrado and keep it going for many decades more. I don't want to (and won't) sell it to some idiot who will ruin it - my previous cars (Mk2 GTi, Corrado G60) both went to very good homes and I want the same for this one. Minor faults - Heater fan only working on speed 4. Slight rust patch to rear arch lips, and rust bubbling around part of filler flap area. Alloys ideally require a refurb. (I have brand new BBS polished alloy centre caps to go with these! included in the sale. Minor scratch on roof, and a small one on rear panel just below tailgate lock. Bonnet release handle needs pulling further past it's stop to pop the bonnet- may need adjustment/repair. Spare parts available - New VAG roof trims, pair. Price - £3750 Based in South Manchester
15. All sorted now, matching correct calipers now and handbrake lever adjusted up as it should. Sponginess sorted by bleeding the master cylinder, decent pedal now that should improve a bit more when the new pads bed in. Passed MOT re-test this morning, so back on the road after nearly a 2 year hiatus! Rear calipers seem to be a lot cheaper than they used to be, £45 each from brakeparts.co.uk (TRW make, they don't even want your old caliper back either so they may be completely new units)
16. As I said in my post I've already adjusted the cables at the handbrake lever, tried again yesterday and it's just not right, the two caliper types are incompatible (or the external spring one is faulty) anyway I bought a new correct matching one, have fitted but just need to bleed brakes and setup handbrake now. I will try and get a pic of the two types of caliper, might help someone avoid this headache in future..
17. Welcome to the forum :) I work in Stockport and never see any Corrado's so I'll keep an eye out, what colour/year is it? Good choice, not many G60's around now, I sold my G60 in 2006 to a lad in Scotland.
18. Recently failed MOT for a slight rear caliper leak and poor handbrake. I bought a standard new rear caliper (which has the internal handbrake spring, matches what was previously on the car) I also had another new caliper for the other side of the car, which I had bought a few years back, so I decided to fit this at the same time. This has an external handbrake spring, but otherwise is the same casting/piston etc. The spring did touch the rear beam slightly but it didn't seem to affect its operation. so I bled the brakes and tested - had a spongey pedal but not to the floor, so assumed the new pads just needed to bed in, although after a long drive they had not improved any. I adjusted/balanced the handbrake cable tensioners but found when pulling the handbrake up, the left cable which goes to the external spring caliper is moving a hell of a lot more than the internal spring side, causing the handbrake lever to come up very high! So my question is, are these different types of caliper incompatible? does the old type require more cable travel or tension? I don't want to risk massively biasing the handbrake tension as it may end up failing the MOT retest. Or could the excessive travel be related to the spongey pedal or a duff caliper? I've not had issues with brake bleeding in the past.
19. I have the new gasket now, there's a grooved oil seal embedded in the gasket itself.
20. Thanks all. I wasn't the original purchaser of the Samco's on this car so warranty claim a no-go. Looked at the cheap Chinese kits again, noticed possible customs charges £££. Since I last looked Roose are now selling a 2 hose kit on ebay, exactly the ones I need, purchased job sorted. :)
