Nice Roo bars. I obliterated a kangaroo in my mates ford falcon when i hit it doing around 50mph out in the sticks in northern Victoria. I didnt have any Roo Bars and as a result it managed to destroy the radiator as well as most of the front end of the car. Leave the Roo bars on. Cool camper too

hey I have a factory alarm and imobilizer on my C. I am changing insurance companies and they want to see documentation that it is a CAT 1 alarm/imobilizer. Firstly - Is it? Secondly - Can I get this info if it is Thirdly - How much extra can i expect to pay if it isnt? Fourthly - Anyone know of a best/cheapest alarm/imobilizer thats a CAT1 Also the names of some other insurers would be good. Cheapest I can get is 465 from Allen & Allen. Have tried Tesco, Norwich Union, AA, Admiral, Churchill, Endsleigh, HIC and they are all around the 600 mark. Thanks all Matt

hey Since my 2 years of 2l ownership I have had various meetings with several of the cars mentioned in this thread. Focus (off a roundabout) I beat Mondeo 2l (new model) off the lights I beat Golf 16v GTI off a roundabout Golf 1.8 8v Standing start. (my old car which had fast road cams and induction kit which my mate bought off me) Level to 60 then I left it behind Mk4 Golf GTi (not sure of spec) Mazda Mx5 (straight sprint against a mates car standing start) beat although I played catched up to 60 mph An audi estate quattro (not sure of engine but i assume it was a diesel) up a half mile 1 in 6 climb I left behind and I made good progress against a lotus elise but this was not a standing start. 66 mustang 289 cu inc (he couldnt get off the lights though as he was wheel spinning for buggery) I got pumped by my mates porsche 928 GTS and his new 350z but I can live with that. I have a standard 2l 16 valve with a milltek system and k&n replacment filter. I do not recommend racing cars as it is childish and silly but sadly the boy in me takes over. And I dont get to drive it much.

hey all I am sadly putting my car up for sale and was wondering what sort of price I should put it in at. Its a 94 2.0l 16v on an L plate blackberry Full leather interior in excellent conditon (slight wear on bolster) 80,000 miles FSH Full stainless exhaust Refurbed estorils with toyo proxes (thes have done under 300 miles) sunroof dont work heater direction control stuck on windscreen few chips and 2 parking dints but not noticable I was going to put it in the trader at 3850 whilst leaving plenty of room for negotiation. These are old pics and new ones are ready to go on when i decide to sell. which is prob at the end of this month when I get my visa bill back from last weekends prague trip
-
it cost him 24k 0-60 in 5.5ish 276 bhp 155 top speed (i think thats limited too)
-
hey My mate picked this beast up at the weekend and I was fortunate enough to drive it last night. Thankfully the leather interior is brown.... It is awesome. Might have to start getting some overtime in! I want one and I want one now!!

hey all Has anyone any experience of getting paint chips sorted without getting a full panel respray. I keep seeing these companies that do it but I am bit dubious as to how good they are. Am looking to get a few minor chips on a wheel arch sorted and also the paint has worn away to the undercoat on the drivers cill. I know a respray is the best option but its not the cheapest and funds are tight. Any advice/comapny names would be good ta Matt

Chavs are the biggest argument for national service.............or guinea pig style experimentation.........

you will be one of a kind out there in a C. You dont see many VWs, let alone corrado's, in Oz as they cost a fortune to import. Most people buy Jap or the Aussie favourite............the trusty Ford or Holden V8 Ute. Where abouts you heading? I lived in Melbourne for a year and loved it. Wish I was there this christmas.......... Here is a typical ute Nice C you have there too!
-
Which is it then? A Corrari or a Ferrado?
-
