    coilover fitment

well i managed to get one bolt undone today have had a nightmare trying to undo the passenger side front strut under the bonnet the one with the allen key top and 21 mm nut . just would not shift then the allen key has crack the housing and now i am :censored: cos cant get nut undone or hold the shaft still, any ideas anyone. All easy jobs on my rado turn into a nightmare with siezed nuts and bolts . :epicfail:
  3. Really nice mate looks nice and straight well done , had brake pedal positon sensor go on mine its not to bad about £60 it fits in the master cylinder and not on the pedal as one would think , when removing its under a bit of pressure nothing bad but will make you jump if your not ready .
  4. I feel for you mate i had a b5 passat 1.8t which i spent about 11k on and made it a 320bhp monster was a beast i did the same thing never replaced the head bolts stretched them and bag head gasket and shagged engine, i sold it for a grand cos i had enough of it . then my girlfriend got me a day in a r8 as a present and it reminded me so much of my white corrado i had years ago . so when i got home i went out and brought a storm grey vr6 corrado cos its the closest thing i will ever get to a r8 . I have had it 8 months and done just over 1000 miles in it cos it always goes wrong so over the winter i have been slowly rebuilding it and doing it properly. i still need to sort the engine like chains head etc which i dont feel confident in doing myself so know it will be a huge bill and i still want to turbo charge it at some point. I brought house a few months back and have no cash . i guess if cars and for that matter the corrado is a passion and a hobbie you will find a way there always is. We have to meet our responsibilitys but life is to short to miss out on what gives us pleasure hang in there bud it will be ok .

    abs help

Hi there quite new to the forum brought a storm grey vr6 a few months back late 94 model and been spending a bit well alot of time restoring her to former glory will post some pics sometime soon. Seem to have an abs issue light goes on and then off with ignition but get a few miles down the road and the light comes on. Changed the abs eds ecu and just yesterday changed the abs pump but still the problem persists ,checked it with my vag com but cant seem to get any communication with the abs controller can find the engine ecu no problem. I have tried changing all the latency settings on the com port as discribed on the forum and the baud settings too but still no joy can only think its a wiring fault somewhere. Was thinking that maybe my only next step is to change the abs senors to try to cure the abs light coming on . if anyone has had the same sort of problems or has any ideas would greatly appreciate it . thanks in advance .
