  1. Head turner? Stomach turner more like!
  2. Hope you are feeling ok physically this morning. Strongly recommened getting down the doctors to get checked out. Good luck.
  3. Sorry to hear this - watch the neck and back injuries - got rearended on the M25 a rfew years ago and adrenalin took me through the the next morning and then my god it hurt. If this driver has injured you then you deserve to claim for the personal injuries and the damage to the Nugget. I hope the agreed value and insurance system does what is right by you. Take care.
  4. When I was a motorcyclist commuting into London every day I VERY narrowly avoided a Merc that came onto a roundabout at speed with the driver using two hands to eat a pro biotic yoghurt. :nono: Fortunately I saw what was going to happen so I slowed down to allow the Merc to go in front of me (rather than over me). When I sounded my horn to make the driver aware that there were other people on the road, she (damn that slipped out) let out a stream of invective that proved she was no lady!
  5. Them that at a junction do the go and then stop routine even when there is a HUUUUUGE gap that you could also have got into which means you hit them up the ar$e
  6. I have one of the DG looms (as previously stated) and am really pleased with it. Coming round the M25 last weekend in the dark and the rain it really did prove that this is a great upgrade. I echo the comments of going from a dull yellow to a bright white beam.
  7. See this threads viewtopic.php?f=15&t=96950&p=1116384&hilit=dg+loom#p1116384 for details. Dave at DG fitted mine for me but it isn't very hard. It's a top class bit of kit and the original remains intact - no chopping required.
  8. I did the Lupo conversion and had to bend my passenger side wiper arm but now they both work brilliantly. I also have a really good headlight loom from DG Autotech. Really pleased with both these upgrade.
  9. I used autoglym leather cleaner and autoglym leather conditioner on the wife's BM leather and it worked treat. Got rid of the light cracks and discolouration very well.
  10. Looks like there is a pop up spoiler on the back too, from what I see of the pics on the auto express website.
  11. As ever, most things have already been heavily discussed on here in the past. This thread has lots of chat about VAG COM - not sure there is a definitive answer though. viewtopic.php?f=19&t=84564&hilit=vag+com
  12. My favourite - 16 inch Speedlines :luvlove:
  13. found this as well but have not tried it myself. http://www.vwhowto.com/vwhowto/guide-view.cfm/id/80/
  14. I have a 270 mile round trip to see these guys so I know what you mean, but then I tend to have a few jobs done at once when I time so each visit is worth the trip. But they are not like any other garage I have been to, they take time to talk to you, show you what's what, go for a drive with you - it's more of a day out!
  15. I have one of these fitted to my VR6, in fact the picture above (and on the DG website) is of it fitted to my car. Really impressive bit of kit this, I watched Dave make it and the quality of components, care and attention that goes into the assembly is astonishing for the price. One nice touch is that unlike other looms this one can be removed easily and you can revert to the orignal wiring (if you would ever want to). Superb quality, superb price and the difference is amazing. A massive improvement. Thanks again DG!!
  16. I'm a bit of a lazy driver and like more mid range torque than screaming top end. Dave knew this and popped one of these newly mapped ECUs in for me when I went to pick up my VR6 after some suspension mods. The test drive was brilliant and so I gladly kept the new map and am honestly loving the change to the mid range. It is addictive to have a more instant throttle response between 2k and 5k revs! Great work, great service and great price. Another very satisfied customer.
  17. Another phone camera picture, the view my brother gets as he struggles to overtake me!quarter.jpg[/attachment:34ve2bmy]
  18. Taken - 8/10 Simple idea, 17 year old girl, divorced parents, mother now married to rich guy, father (Liam Neeson) is ex CIA or Special Forces. Daughter goes to Paris with a friend and is "Taken" in a sex trafficking kidnap. It's well done without being daft and as a parent it certainly struck the right notes.
  19. Cheers Stu - you have shown me the light! Sent you a PM about the map.
  20. Day off today looking after my daughter and so the Corrado had a right good clean while she sat in the sun reading. Today was the first time I have unleashed the upgraded cleaning products - out goes the Meguiars stuff and in comes the Auto Glym. So a wash and dry then attacked the grey plastic and rubber bits with Auto Glym Bumper Care so they are now more like black. Then Super Resin Polish (managed to squirt about 80 pence worth on the tarmac after shaking like mad) followed by High Definition Wax. All done by hand and although the SRP was good I was really impressed with the HD Wax. I bought most of this lot plus fast glass, leather cleaner, conditioner and convertibile roof cleaner and reproofer (the last few for the wife's beemer) from Halfords when they had the BOGOF but the wax was 40 quid from them so I found some on ebay for 23 quid delivered. I digress - the wax looked a little underwhelming once I removed the large amounts of packaging and found a little pot and a clothe and applicators. But then I started using it I was massively impressed - only need a tiny amount and it goes on so smoothly. Comes off well too and wow - really nice shiny finish! Thanks for those who have steered me in the direction of quality products!
  21. Took it down to ATS Euromaster, was told £20.50 for a repair, by the manager. Came back and a lady in front of me was paying for a puncture repair with a credit card and one of the fitters was saying "well if you pay with a card it's £20.50 coz we have to do all the paperwork otherwise it's a tenner for cash" So when he had finished with her I said "Puncture repair" and held out a tenner to which he said "Great, thanks" and took my tenner and put it in a mug under the counter. Nice one! Cash is still king!
  22. sounds like ATS is the way to go then - thanks chaps!
  23. When I changed my wheels recently I spotted a screw in one of my tyres. Was holding pressure but not a great idea to have a screw in there. It's in the middle of the tread and there is still loads of tread left so want to repair it. I know Kwik Fit etc might fix it and that you can get repair kits with a couple of tools and glue and plugs for a few quid. Anyone any experience of either or recommendations?
