Maybe someone can shed some light on this. For some reason, my dasboard clock and trip meter Zero'd out and went blank yesterday afternoon. I reset the clock to the correct time then switched the ignigtion off. When i turned it back on again the clock was back to Zero. This was on MFA setting 1, so i tried the same on MFA2 and exactly the same thing happened. Also my interior courtesy light is now not working. And.... strangest of all, my Alarm/Immobiliser has also gone out in sympathy in that when i lock the car, the central locking activates and i get my usual beep, beep beep. Then about 10-15 seconds later, i get a set of three double beeps which is the 'there's something wrong' type beep. Anyone got any ideas on this one? Cheers

Turned out to the the Ignition Coil. Already replaced by 11am this morning and i'm picking him up from the garage tonight. Thanks to everyone for their contributions. Much appreciated. :notworthy:

Thanks Roger. Really appreciate your input. :notworthy:

Good enough for me, i'll direct my garage guy to that area. If it's intermittent, do you think it might just be that something has come loose in the coil pack (seen pictures - lots of stuff to work loose in there) and need tightening up given that it runs perfectly after it kicks back in? £300 odd for a new coil pack is giving me the shudders!! Any more input gratefully accepted. Thanks

Would a defective coil pack cut out and then cut back in again? I'm guessing it would behave like that.......

Got something strange going on with my VR6. From what i can gather myself, i think it might be an intermittent plug or Injector - this is what happens. After about 10 minutes running from start-up, the is a slight jolt and it feels (and sounds) like it's not firing on all cylinders and I loose all acceleration and power. It still runs, but sounds like a Subaru Imprezza without the balls!! After another 10 minutes or so, there is another slight jolt when whatever had kicked out, kicks back in again and it's as smooth as a Baby's Bum again. Weird eh? Just wanted to run this past you lot before it goes to the garage tomorrow to be looked at with a view to maybe giving my guy at the garage a couple of pointers as to what it might be. Anyone out there with any ideas? Thanks! :norty:

Lots of familiary rituals listed here!! For me - i pray that i'll never hear the sound of a Challenger Tank again when i start it up. A little bit of Piston Slap i can deal with, but even that always gives me the horrors in case it don't stop after a second or so. I always slide the drivers side mat back to the seat. On wet days, only the passenger window gets opened 3 or 4 inches until all the rain has gone from the roof. My first 2/3 turns are always left turns so the rain runs off the drivers side!! On dry mornings, drivers side window all the way down, passenger window as wet days. No welly-giving until sufficiently warmed up - usually after about 9 or 10 minutes and i can see the temp guage has moved. Yes. I know. I'm a nutter. :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :norty:

You sir are a genius. I didn't realise that the knobs for the control panel of the heater had their own place. My entire dash was taken out by the garage for a new heater matrix about 18 months ago and when i got it back, the heater would only work on setting 4. So i tried switching round the dials last night and hey presto - fully working blower on 1,2,3 and 4 again!! The garage guys must have put them back in the wrong positions. Muchas Muchas Gracias!! :notworthy: :notworthy: :salute:

Finally found a reliable source to get a replacement Beesting Aerial Base for my Rado. I think the one i have on it at the moment is from a VW Polo and the reception is absolute pants. I noticed on the display picture that there's a a red second wire coming from the aerial base - presume this is the 'amplified / powered' part of the base. it looks like this...... http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/941/corradobase.jpg Anyone know where this wire goes?? :confused4: Ta in advance!! :salute:
