I'll have four please
-
Weekends mostly. Use an old carina e the rest of the time. Usually end up driving it for longer than planned though because I don't want to park it up and get back in the Toyota!
-
And if you're currently watching TopGear on Dave it's the Corrado episode!Indeed!
-
Defo will have to look out for you, me also having an aqua blue vr!
Perhaps a load of us should meet up sometime!? - that's if there are a load of Yeovil corrados...
-
Cool, which colour/model do you drive? I'll keep a look out for you!
-
I keep seeing Yeovil mentioned in the spotted! thread and being from the Yeovil area myself I just wondered how many Corrados there are around here.. I hardly ever see any!
-
No worries, always good to make sure that wherever you take it are able to do camber as well as just the tracking :)
-
Yes, it can! Along with the camber too
-
Storms only came in Classic Green and Mystic Blue dude
Guess it was Mystic Blue then. All I know it was a very dark colour, looked black, and had a Storm badge on the rear!
I'm usually around yeovil in mine, what colour/type is yours?
I've an Aqua Blur VR. Actually live outside Yeovil so not often in town with it other than the odd occasion driving to work (such as today), not really much fun though... apart from the Tesco bypass! I'll have a lookout for you, whereabouts in Yeovil are you generally?
Usually driving along Lysander road really, go to Nuffield quite a lot and work in Yeovil too.
I'll be looking out for you too, haven't seen any other aqua blue vr's in Yeovil yet!
-
My first spot! Saw a tidy black Storm :salute: in Yeovil at 1.55pm cruising past the library on wednesday. Just caught myself before I waved as I wasn't in my Corrado and that may have seemed a bit wierd...!I'm usually around yeovil in mine, what colour/type is yours?

I can't remember the fault code that came up, but mine had a very similar fault recently (the code translated to one of the outlets being faulty).
It turned out that there was a dodgy connection on one of the wires at the abs pump. Found by checking continuity between terminals at the ecu and at the pump, used the Bentley manual for wiring diagram.

Abdul if your serious about taking the car to a garage so some guys can take the VR6-D0HC cover off for you then you have bought the wrong car, these cars demand maintenance and if you cant even do that you should have bought a kia.oh yeh i have the plastic radiator cover if you still want it £10 posted, or i can fit it for an extra £30.
^^lol

Thanks! Looking even shinier now as I clay bar'd and waxed it the other day! - I posted a pic on the 'what I did today' thread about a week ago.
Would really like to get some bbs's or similar for it at some point
-
I'm after a drivers one at mo as the reflective backing has started coming away on mine :-/
Really not keen on using a stick on one either cos I'd know it wasn't quite as it should be
-
Liking this one atm, after detailing it last weekend..
-
The water pump is usually more difficult to turn, the sound your looking for is like a skate board going down the road........................^^exactly!^^
-
Clay bar'd the whole car and waxed... paint looks better still.. Spent around 4 hours on it today, not bad considering how hung over I was! :gag:
-
Could always ask the dealers ;-)
-
Mine do the same, have done since I bought the car, been meaning to sort it!
-
It was the rear wishbone bolt, the one that screws straight up into the body..
Well the master cylinder bolts in place, just make sure it's tight and not moving when you press the brake pedal.. I'm sure it is ok but was just a thought.
Don't you just hate annoying little noises that keep you up thinking about?! I certainly do!
-
I had something very similar on my mk3 vr6 and it turned out to be a loosened wishbone bolt.. Causing the wishbone to move very slightly under braking. Maybe worth checking?
Also is the master cylinder definitely secure and tight as it should be?
-
Any possibility of getting a vr6 and also buying a cheap comfortable banger for doing the taxiing in?
Obviously difficult if parking is an issue..
I run a 500 quid carina e day to day and use my vr sparingly on a limited mileage policy, between the two the insurance isn't too bad and I save fuel and wear on the vr at the same time.

Obd2
in Engine Bay
Oh right, cheers.
It's funny, my vr has always idled nicely and is very smooth and quick. I think I may be tempting fate if I decide to convert to obd2!

Obd2
in Engine Bay
Hi all, I'm just curious about why exactly people do the obd2 conversion?
I've done searches on this and there is info about people doing it and info on how to do it; but not really any info on the real advantages of it.
As far as I was aware, the mk3 inlet is more restrictive and the mk3 ecu runs a less aggressive map? So by doing an obd2 conversion, are you not actually lessening the power of your car a little?
I may be breaking an obd2 mk3 soon, hence why I'm curious
How many C's in Yeovil area?!
