You too mate, only wish i had the eye for detail you have! Noticed your spoiler was down on the way back? I tried to lower mine at speed but it would not go down.....

I have some of these Audioscape door pods with some new alpine SPR-17C 6-1/2" in my car, they do look good, i also like the way they face up into the car. I got mine at a knock down price, other wise i probably would have stayed with the original set up. The only little niggle i have with them is i have to open the door wide open as i tend to scuff them alot when i drag my right leg in! I also went down the same route as you with the rears and went with some JBL's.

Look forward to the pictures fella, i am not being bias just because i have a set of these myself, but for the folk that want to go out and as some say (have a credit card corrado) or money no object corrado, thats fine. My corrado stands me at £5000 now and thats just covering some of the basic's, wheels, coilovers, exhaust, rad, etc etc. And am sure there is still plenty to do! I wish people would just bare in mind that everyones circumstances are different, i mean some owners i am sure must have to saved up for ages to get that certain part or mod they want or need for there car only to be told "ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH" well i dont think that is good enough! Nice looking wheel mate, i just wish i had gone for the D90's now,

Nice corrado you have there, funny the red has grown on you! I was also looking for a dark corrado and looked at a couple with no intention of buying a red one. But i found a nice one and altho it was red i bought it. And the flash really is flash, it gets an unbelivable amout of looks no matter where it goes. Some folk bend over backwards so to speak to have a butchers.

Just to add..... i have heard that everybodys premium will go up by at least 15% this year as most of the banks own most insurance companys, and we all know that the banks have not been doing too well lately! I hope i am wrong come renewal time. Perhaps use this thread just for renewal quotes, so we can keep an eye on whats going on.... old premium with best quote sort of thing.

Very nice!

Did this the other week, and i have to say the housing that i took off was in good condition, but i bought genuine new from VW just to be on the safe side! The only reason i did the job was every now and again there was a leak from the housing and rad was on its last legs which was causing the car to run hot. A good bit of advice i picked up from here was to put a very light smear of oil on the new Orings everything slips back together nice and smooth , take your time and double check everything. Its a fair fiddily job to be doing over and over again!
-
Not my thing, what did you have on before  i never thought i would see these making a comeback.

Have to agree with everyone on the wheels, superb!

I will dig it out! I went for the rim that would stick out most, they do have a very slight stretch but not dangerous looking.

I am looking into a rear subframe overhaul next, got some new weitecs on and was shoving it into corners today for the first time...... seemed a bit loose on the rear... bit like the front would steer then the back would a second later? Sound familiar..... any advice? Oh and yes i know weitecs are not the most expensive out there but i am almost sure this is not the cause of the backend still being twitchy..... Do we have a gocompare thread on here? Also what should i be looking at price wise for poly bushing compared to standard? And any ideas on what a labour charge from a garage would be?
-
Yes mate bsx 16" cant remember off set, not too clued up on that, the guy at rimstyle knew what i wanted and i got the slightly wider wheels. Can dig out the receipt not sure if it will tell me on there tho

All in all it was about £380ish inc vat, Rad being £200inc vat from VW which was the killer! :mad2: But it was the rad and rad switch what i needed all my switches where fine just changed them for good mesure even the thermo housing was in good condition but every now and then there was a slight leak. Looking into the rear subframe overhaul next, got some weitecs on and was shoving it into corners today for the first time...... seemed a bit loose on the rear... bit like the front would steer then the back would a second later? Yep dipped it in the kettle, also checked dash temp on first start up, top hose warm till about 70ish then bottom started to warm and open, it was at this point with no leaks and some reading on here that it was all worth while and very satisfying, also saved some cash from garage fees! I must admit tho, i was shitting myself at the start of the job

Do head gaskets just go? Or is there problems leading up to there failure? I am not sure on this....

Got round to fitting all my new cooling system parts at the weekend, all went really well as it was the first time i have worked on the car myself, followed the cooling guide on here and it was a fairly simple task! Just took my time. Had the car out today and what a diffrence i saw in temps, in traffic or caining the car all was good and no leaks.

I have to disagree with you there, damn site cheaper yes, but better :nono: I happen to buy a set of these yesterday from the guy that makes them and for the extra money you pay its worth that for piece of mind! I am not new to using the shorter ramps but i have never liked rolling onto them, always feel a bit uneasy but thats just me! Roll on roll off with a 40mm drop on corrado and i will still roll on with my 90mm splitter fitted with these ramps! And if you want to go any lower with your car he can also supply you with extentions. So how are they better? What gives u the piece of mind? :confused4: To start it dosent feel like you are point towards the sky when you hit them, the distance between the metal bars are shorter so you are running on them and not in and out of them. And this may just be me almost over shooting the shorter ramps trying to get out of the wider apart cross bars! But its only IMO!

On with the same job mate! Hope you get the help you need. But after reading over the cooling thread i decided on a low temp stat from awesome GTi, aswell as everything else for the cooling system. I wont be driving the car much in winter so hot summer days are in order thats how i came to make my choice! Dont get me wrong, i am no corrado wizz but from the info i have gatherd so far its not the best design cars out there. For instance........ "QUOTE" kevhaywire Yep, because you can only get 2 of the 3 bolts off the thermostat cover in situ and it's a real nuiscance. Everything on the VR is like that though, have you noticed? 1 - Main water pump, you can see all 3 pulley bolts, but can't quite get to the 3rd, jack the engine up. 2 - Thermostat - can get 2 bolts off, not the 3rd, off with the whole housing. 3 - Upper chain tensioner pad, you can see where it clips on and wiggle it about etc, but can't quite get to it, off with the gearbox. 4 - Offisde front wishbone bolt, you can see it behind the sump, but can't quite undo it, jack the engine up 5 - Lower intake manifold, you can see the last bolt sat there behind the alternator, but can't quite get to it, off with the alternator 6 - You can see and undo the bottom alternator bolt, but can't pull it out because the inner wing's in the way, jack the engine up. 7 - And so on.... Bloody car But maybe they got the stat right, and the complex after thought of the whole cooling system itself! All i will say is once all the work is done and after a few miles of monitoring the temp gauge's i should not have to sit with one eye on the road and one fixed to my temps this summer when i decide to open it up a little, or get stuck in traffic!
-
Cheers for that, ordered job-lot for cooling system also new senders and switch's and neuspeed stat! That should do it!
