Hi I'm going to change the radiator on my VR6 at the weekend. I've purchased a genuine rad at £179 inc the VAT. The parts dept recommended that I use 3 litres of G12. Is this enough and do you advise doing anything else other than flushing out whilst apart? Thanks Matt

Does anyone happen to know how many Storms are left and how many Autos have been converted to manuals? I purchased my Mystic Storm Auto 2 wks ago in totally standard trim and was wondering how many of my cars are left? feel a bit guilty mind you as I've done 900 miles in 2 weeks and can't stop driving it . Thanks fla. Yes it is an auto, I should have written ATF. Would you happen to know what I should expect to pay for ATF, VW want £60+vat for the 5.6litres required. I only bought the car a week ago and want to give it a thorough service as the box is not changing quite as I like. Do I need a gasket set as well? Which workshop manual would you suggest? I called into the parts dept at my local VAG centre yesterday, I bought a pair of wheel bearings and asked them to confirm it was a Storm. They gave me a print out of of the service history the first owner the spec colour etc and when it was last seen at a dealer. Matt

Hi I'm about to do a filter and fluid change on my VR6 and need a little advice on the following :- 1) I've ordered a filter from VAG but the fluid is £10 + vat per litre, can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative? 2) When changing the filter do I need any gaskets? 3) How do I change the filter and check the levels are correct? 4) Having only owned the car for a week and a half I don't have a workshop manual yet. Can anyone suggest the best one to buy and where to get it from? 5) Does anyone know the paint code for a mystic blue storm as VAG can't find it on any of their systems :confused4: Thanks in advance for your help. I'm also getting the same problem with mine, I certainly get some strange looks when parking. I'll try putting a leading edge on the pads at the weekend but if anyone finds a solution in the meantime could you post a thread. Thanks Matt
