  1. Great turnout - I'd been out of the country working and completely forgot about any Corrado goings on but booked the day to fleece my friends Mk3 GT 16v. Really regretted leaving my Corrado on my friends drive 5 miles away from Castle Combe!!!!! Oh well - better luck for the next 25th anniversary in 2038! ---------- Post added at 9:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 9:06 PM ---------- Great turnout - I'd been out of the country working and completely forgot about any Corrado goings on but booked the day to fleece my friends Mk3 GT 16v. 2. I should be able to meet this - it'll do the Corrado good as it has been in hybernation too long!
  3. Looking like a seriously nice car now you've tackled a few of the jobs that needed doing - keep it up!
  4. Thanks James - re-insured on a 3k p.a policy so hopefully it'll see some more sunshine this year! Went to Oulton Park today to watch the Formula Fords, XR Challenge and Bug Fun Cup - good day out!
  5. Steve, sorry to hear about your trouble. Importantly you are ok - everything else, whilst being an annoyance can be fixed! Chin up. Dave.
  6. James - great progress. I am seriously looking forward to it's debut - will it be Tatton or have you something more spectacular planned?
  7. Just had an opportunity to blow the post winter cobwebs off with a bit of a clean up following some over winter fettling. New wishbones, ball joints and arb links up front and some nice new no grumble rear wheel bearings - running nicely after having the suspension geometry re-set. Here's a couple of pictures from today in the 'lovely' Lancashire sun just to show it isn't dead!!!!
  8. They are fairly similar but G60 doesn't have intermediate silencer - back box is identical, but the suitcase silencer has a long input pipe in leiu of the intermediate silencer. I've had both cars in early form and put exhausts on each of them.
  9. Hi Andy, did you have any joy with getting the driveshafts as we discussed? Cheers, Dave
  10. For heavens sake Andy don't tease! We don't want Gareth having the 'most buffed' station wagon in the forest.
  11. Jim, I agree, little things that show evolution are interesting. I find the awkwardly positioned electric window switches amusing, still get it wrong which one I'd for drivers window! Analogue milo meter, two piece gear knob and gaiter, recessed indicators and fogs, different bumpers, sliding heater controls, bonnet, grille and the list goes on! It's clear to see that VW made a lot of minor changes in the 1992 on models which made them more appealing. What I particularly like about the early car in red is it's purity and, in standard form, it's ability to remind me of the Vw press launch cars. Long may this one live on, though I've hit 48k now! Cheers, Dave.
  12. Gareth, good to see the plate fits! I tried the 'larger sensible car thing' with little success and have found that living without 6 cylinders is difficult! I suppose 5 is a good compromise. The big V looks good and does do what you were looking for, should have kept my old A4 turbo! Cheers, Dave
  13. Wow, small world, just sent you a message on eBay - your daily is my old car, thought I recognised the name! Don't fancy a 48k 1990 Corrado 16v in px do you?
