ok got a cable from eurocar parts, has the ball end(early)and they said it was for early corrado, so ill report back if it fits properly, as early ones are obsolete from vw
-

Steering Column Mod - Quick, Effective and Cheap!
blaarado replied to somersetdub's topic in Drivetrain
ya legend, gona do this tomorrow -
i used a later set of clocks and used a vss out of 1.8t gearbox, you can get the speedo working but i cant remember exactly how i did it right now so ill have have a look tomorrow, there was some wiring and splicing involved, as for the tacho, im not sure the tacho will work without modification either, someone else did that for me (swict) also the inicator lights on the instruments panel have to be wired differently and the oil light will keep flashing, but these are easy enought to fix, i asked these questions before and someone gave me the now how on how to do it, if u want to check my posts, i think its under "g60 clocks into 16v or somthing like that, ill get back to ya on the speedo issue anyway

after my car was resprayed i fitted the door seals back on, im getting rain and air in threw the doors, the rain comes in threw the top of the passenger door and the air comes in just buy where the window frame starts by the outside door handle, i can actually see light coming threw from the inside at this point, i loosend the door strikes and pushed them in as far as they would go this seemed to help a bit with the water getting in but the air getting in has perplexed me it almost looks like im missing a piece where the air gets in, the door panel lines look quiet good, as you look along the body lines it doesnt look like the door needs to be pulled in or let out a bit, iv tried a few things to fix it but maybe im missing a trick or somthing, so i said id post the issue up here, its a bit annoying when your driving along and you get a draft on the back of your arms and im sure its adding road noise into the car

id like the blue back lighting too, also would it be possible to have 20vt instead of the g60 logo on the late g60 dials, in the same font?
-
thanks for the quick replys guys, does the loud hissing noise mean that the fuel pump is on the way out?
-
hi all, hopefully someone might be able to help me out with this, did i read somewhere that the fuel pump from later corrados had a higher bar rating(4 bar) than earlier ones, i have a 1990 1.8kr spec car with a 20vt engine and the fuel pump is making a loud hissing noise since i put the 20v in, its been running fine but id like to change it soon as its bound to fail at the worst possible time of coarse(eg;when im a few hundred miles from home some day) and is it a direct fit or are there any mods to do.

fitting a non adjustable steering column (how-to)
blaarado replied to davidwort's topic in Drivetrain
as the cowls are obsolete could the ajustable cowls be modified to fit or are they just too different -
iv come across a 1990 1.8kr corrado lying up in a garage for a few years now, same year and engine as my own, but this one has the digifizz dash in, would these be a direct fit to my own car, i have allready put in the later digital clocks and harrness

just thaught id trow this up it might be usefull to somebody, when i was doing my 20vt conversion using a 01 ibiza cupra, i used the gear box from the ibiza so the original gear change cable ends were different from the ibiza ends so i went about seeing if i could fit the whole lot(gear lever and gear lever box and cables) from the ibiza into the corrado, so i took out the corrado stuff and the gear lever box fitted straight in with no modifications whatsoever so now the gear change is much smoother with the new (01) gear change
-
thaught it was about time i put some pics up of the car, these were taken by a friend on the way to the vage (volkswagon, audi group enthusiaste club) should have some standing pics soon
