how bout an RX-8? quick, nimble and providing you look after it, you shouldn't have any issues with the rotary engine. Get a decent mid-mileage one for around 6k......will lose less than 1k a year in depreciation providing you're not driving the length of the country every week.

Value of an N-plate Storm with 145k on clock?

How did the £1500 corrado storm turn out mate? That's by far the cheapest I've seen a working one! Got any pics or more details on her?? -
Not getting rid of the 'rado... Well OK I have!

If I had to swap the corrado for something else, and had £20k sitting around, I'd (try to) get a "mint" low miler Lancia Delta Integrale EVO 2 - You won't find a car that's more rewarding to drive on 4 wheels!! -
If nothing happens, keep me in mind for second dibs on the diava.....am looking to retro-fit one.

Guys anyone on here got a good fitting dog guard for their corrado? Don't really want my 9st Rottweiler slobbering all over my back leather seats, so he'll have to go in the boot when necessary. Was looking at this one... http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_377059_langId_-1_categoryId_165716

that look absolute quality!! I'd also be willing to pay someone to make that happen for me! Do we not have anyone here on the forum that can simply say, "bring your corrado to my house/garage, and I'll do it for you for £XXX" ??

thanks mate......has he actually re-sprayed your corrado then? If so have you got any pics on work done?

anyone heard of or used this company? http://www.spray-tek.co.uk/

Just bought myself a "Mystic Blue" Corrado Storm, and am thinking about sorting out the dings and dents in it and giving it a full respray to get it back to looking like new again. There is a dent in the NSR wheel arch and subesquently the rear bumper is not lining up correctly. There is also a bit of rust underneath the headlight which could do with sorting. Anyone know any good bodywork places in London (or within 25 miles of London) I could take it to for a quote on a fix-up and a re-spray? Also, anyone hazard a guess at what it's most likely going to cost? :|

Yeah I'd be interested in one of these as well...any details? make/model? Want to replace the crusty silver kenwood cd player that came with my car! p.s. stupid question, but I guess you lose the cigarette lighter bit to allow you to charge phones/ipod??

Good price too - I reckon you got a steal (assuming it doesn't break the bank in the first 3 months!) Cheers fella.....was getting a bit worried I'd overpaid, as I saw a storm go on piston heads the other day for £1500    But I just need to keep telling myself that this was a one-off and the seller clearly didn't have a clue of the true value of these things!

Haven't had the chance to take any proper pics as it was pitch black by the time I got home and it went straight in the garage...... But this is the one I bought: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1410948.htm Won't say exactly how much I paid, but I will say it was less than the price it was advertised for after a bit of haggling (He originally had it up for £3250 but I would've only paid that if it was a "minter") so hopefully got it at a fair price in the end. Plus it appears to be an unmolested example with the original alloys (I know some people love to mod, but as far as Corrado's go, I think they looked sexy enough straight out of the factory :luvlove: ) so am happy with what I paid.... I think! :cuckoo: Will post some more pics once I've got her road legal and given her a full clean and polish :-)

Just got back home with my new toy  Finally realised a dream I've had since I was 17 and bought myself a corrado vr6 storm! Need a bit of work to it, and doesn't have any road tax so need to sort that out a.s.a.p but I think I paid a reasonable price for it (less than advertised on pistonheads) Bit of a scuff on the N/S/R wheel arch, and a tiny bit of rust under the N/S headlight, and your obvious stone chips, but all the electrics work (inc. sunroof and rear spoiler) and the leather interior is in decent shape with no tears. can't wait to get it all road legal and ready for a proper spin :D Took a mechanic with me to check it and he said it looked good but he wouldn't have paid what I ended up paying because of the scuffs and the relatively high mileage, but tried to convince him (and myself!) that because it was a storm there will always be a premium  I can tell you that as soon as I gave it a quick spin round the block and I started getting a big grin on my face (which I haven't had from a car since my old mk2 golf gti 16v 10 years ago!) that I knew I had to have it, regarldess of whether it was "mint" or not!! Might live to regret it, but hey ho!....After all it's only money and you only live once, so sod it! A proud new parent!!

Value of an N-plate Storm with 145k on clock?
jpowell79 replied to jpowell79's topic in General Car Chat
no.....funny enough I called that one and apparantly it had been sold within 1 hour of the advert going live.....sounds like a right bargain!!! Nah the one I'm looking at is different -
hi all....going to look at an N plate VR6 storm in blue this evening..... 145k on the clock, but mint inside and out with plenty of history. I won't tell you what the guy wants for it, as I'm curious to know what you think its worth (I know you'd have to look at it yourself for an accurate valuation, but just want to know what you think as a ball-park figure) Seems a decent price to me, but then what do I know!!
