Ford announced yesterday that the Mustang will finally come to the UK in RHD. Personally I would absolutely love to own one! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2199375/Ford-Mustang-muscle-car-gallops-Britain-woo-Mondeo-man-revive-flagging-sales.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

This post may lead to a bit of a backlash! I am a Mystic Blue VR6 Storm owner and I love driving my corrado! ...however, as much as I love my Storm, and still grin when I drive to work in it most days, I could never consider myself as someone who looks after their car like some people do, nor could I really be bothered to. I saw a thread on this forum where someone was questioning, "why don't people look after their cars?"....I guess I fall into that category! When I hear people spending their weekends polishing, buffering, waxing their cars, I think "good for them"...... but there's probably 5 million other things I could think of that I would prefer doing! Some people have spent a fortune on their corrado's, keeping them in pristine condition......then they come to sell up and explain that they have a folder full of £10k's worth of receipts, including a £2k respray, and have ensured that their car only drinks V-Power and is locked up in a climate-controlled garage...... only to find out that they can only manage to sell the car for £5k! Now my Storm is in VERY average condition for a 17-year old car..... 160k on the clock, gets taken through a car wash once every couple of months, has a standard service from the local garage when its needed, and an odd oil change when required. Basically just enough to get it running ok and through its MOT......It has a few dinks and donks on it...theres scrathes on most panels, a crack in the windscreen, a few marks on the leather, a spot of rust round the wheel arch, etc.... The truth is when I come to eventually sell it, I reckon I'll be quite lucky to get £1,800 for it, even though its a Storm. I still have as much fun driving it as someone with an "immaculate" standard storm, who has spent £12k on keeping it looking mint....in fact you could argue that I have even more fun driving it because I might be inclined to drive far more conservatively if it was pristine. I guess my point is that some people worry too much about how their car looks, and how to keep its value as high as possible, and forget the reason why they bought one in the first place......because they are great fun to drive!! Don't get me wrong, buying a car with a folder full of receipts is great for the buyer, and I'd always take a car with history over one with none...... but as a seller it doesn't make sense to me to spend £££££'s on your car knowing there's absolutely no chance you will ever recover it!.... The VR6 is a great car, and I really mean that.....but at the end of the day, it's just a car :-) ......or am I on my own with this one?

turns out it was the cable behind the fuse box leading to fuse 15 - "electronic ignition" .....the mechanic gave it a wiggle and now it works! Pity it took 3 hours to bloody diagnose it! - £150 ffs!

can someone tell me where this plug is in image 2 ? cheers

beauty......wish my mystic blue storm looked like that! :)

I've got the same issue, and just ordered a ECU relay and fuel pump relay...... did this fix it or was it the crank sensor?
-
Still not sure which one the transponder relay is.....anyhow someone told me it could be the fuel pump relay or the ECU relay, so have ordered one of each. I can't see any reference to "transponder relay".....am I being really thick or is this the same as the ECU relay??
-
cheers, since you've said about the immobiliser I've been looking round a bit more and read a post that someone said to try and spray the transponder relay with WD40........where is the transponder relay?

Hi Guys, I was wondering if anyone has an idea what might be wrong with my VR6. I came out of B&Q last night, after having driven over 15 miles in the Corrado without issue. Anyway, got in the car, turned on the ignition, and it goes to start, but then decides to shut down the engine. I noticed the oil light was flashing, so immediately thought it must be the oil....and to be fair it was below the limit (I am having to top it up about once every 2 months) so topped up the oil, waited 5 minutes, and gave it another try. Same thing....turn on the ignition, and it sounds as thought its about to start, but then shuts itself down immediately......also rather stangely the oil light is still flashing? Could it be some kind of sensor fault, telling the engine to shut down? I know the oil was low, but I wouldn't think this would prevent it from starting, and also even though its topped up now, its still flashing, so maybe an oil sensor? By now you can most likely already guess my knowledge under the bonnet is pretty limited! Any suggestions? ....... maybe I'll have to get it towed to a garage to put it on a diagnostics machine?

4 kilos in a week! WTF! thats half a stone......are you not eating? :-) I've just started the "Insanity" workout by the american fitness instructor Shaun T. - The guy is a lunatic! Max interval training...I bet its similar to what they do in the Army.....never trained so hard in my life.....although I'm only losing about 2 kilos a week and that includes eating rabbit food all week as well.

I don't know naff all about watches, but my uncle gave me some fancy looking watch about 10 years ago before he passed away....told me some funny story about how he won it in a game of poker when he was working in the states about 30 years ago. Apparantly its worth a few quid, but I never got round to looking into it, as I'd never heard of the make......It's somewhere in the garage amongst all the other tut and rubbish I don't have room for. Will have to dig it out and have a proper look.....I can't quite recall, but it was something like a Barry Winstone? - can't find anything on google though....probably a pile of crap! :-)

I bought the Sony MEXBT3900U last week - pretty much the same as the one you're going for but with the blutetooth. Really good player and the colours go quite nice with the Rado interior. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_808755_categoryId_165474_langId_-1?cm_sp=Intelligent_Offer-_-Product_Details_Zone_1-_-Blank&iozone=PDPz1 I have an iphone and its brilliant for that.....you answer incoming calls by pressing the volume knob on the fascia, and can call people from it by pressing the magnifying glass button then twisting the volume knob through the alphabet till you get to the person you want to call. Also you can tream bluetooth music from any app (not just the ipod part of your iphone) - so for example, if you have the "free music" app, you can play all the songs from your playlist there ;-) (if you haven't come across this app, its great...open it then in the browser go to http://www.mp3skull.com and download any music you want ;-) ) ......same for if you wanted to use your "tune-in radio" app...... great for if you listen to any medium-wave stations like TalkSport.....its much better than what my aerial picks up as the sound is digital.....also if you have a stanav application, then it plays the satnav voice directions throught he speakers as well. All in all, worth the extra £40 i think

Bloody hell! - I have just got my Blue Storm back on the road after 9 months, and am loving driving it every day. Was thinking of having a full respray as their is a dink in the passenger door and a scuff on the passenger wheel arch, although to be honest there seems to be minor scratches and scrapes on every panel! Wanted to get it done, but there's no chance in hell I would spend 3k on a respray of a car thats probably only worth around £2,200! Although the prices you are talking about in Poland are getting me thinking maybe drive to Poland for a few days might be worth it!....especially if going via the german Autobahn to really open her up (legally)!! :)

Was involved in an accident a few weeks ago..... Car drove straight into the back of my Vauxhall Corsa Van and wrote it off. It's a shame as the Corsa Van was a fantastic little van, and cheap as cheaps to run......but on the bright side it means I have now "un-SORN'ed" my Corrado (which I'd SORN'ed back in January as I couldn't afford to run both motors) so will now use it as my daily car! :) The fuel costs are going to double, but who cares! I'll be having fun when I drive again! Probably means I'll have to trade it in in the new year for something more economical (I do 75 miles a day to work and back!) but at least for the next few months I'll be driving with a smile on my face!

Need to get the Corrado MOT'd and serviced, and just wondered if anyone could recommend a good garage in South London (or not too far from it) to get it done, that will do a good job and charge a fair price?

Pirahna 6/10 Would have given it lower score...... but then you do get to see Kelly Brook with her kit off, so that's worth a couple of points on it's own!

WTF !!!! I thought this film was ridiculous!! half baby half velociraptor to start with.....then the scientist funks it and impregnates it......then it turns into a boy and rapes the female scientist, who gets pregant from it. Weird film and not exactly well made. Seriously.....I'd give it 4/10 at best....and that's being pretty generous!! The female scientist made me recall a good film called "Go" though, which I think I'll watch again. :)

Agreed best film I've seen all year I think. Seriously? you rate this over inception ?? (unless you haven't seen inception yet?) two films I've seen over the past week. The other guys - 5/10 - (about as average a comedy as you can get......about 6-7 funny bits in the film) 4.3.2.1 - 2/10 - Easily the worst film i've seen this year....... it really is painful to watch. Thinking of poor films...... check out Fear of clowns......now that is THE worst film I've ever seen.......shockingly bad!!
-
Saw quite a few films over the weekend myself! :D Once - 8/10 The A-Team - 6/10 The Expendables - 5/10 Magruber - 4/10 The Last Excorcism - 6/10

Surely you could get a LAN/WAN support job with the CCNP? The route to CCIE is long, expensive and the well paid jobs few and far between. I'm a network engineer myself working on a good size network (600 odd sites, 30,000+ users) and have never felt the need to progress beyond CCNP, unless your employer is footing the bill it doesn't seem worth it anymore. Nah.....no real experience....and to have a CCNP with no real experience means I'd have to take a lower level role, which although I wouldn't mind the work, would mean I'd have to take a fairly hefty pay cut :( The only way I'll be able to move into a Network Support role that pays similar to (or more than!) I earn now, are to apply for roles that specifically ask for a CCIE. The problem with the CCNP is it's undervalued......people who study geniunely for it don't get the credit they deserve.....people just think they used testking or pass4sure/examcram to pass the exams :( Don't get me wrong, there are alot of CCNP's that really know their stuff.....and no piece of paper will ever compare to real experience.....but unfortunately that's not enough to even get you the interview in the first place. Also, with the CCIE you cannot cheat....you need to take a full lab exam in front of a panel of network professionals.....once you have the CCIE you can PROVE you know your stuff
-
Sounds like an interesting role Are you a CCIE/JNCIE or is it a case that you've now got so much experience that you don't need the certificates? Have just purchased a cisco lab to get started on the CCIE...... your job sounds like the kind of thing I'd like to be doing :) My role is predominantly layer 1&2 Transmission, although we have recently taken on the role of integrating layer3 NTE's onto the transmission backhaul network, so will in the near future be moving into the realms of IP. My complany have agreed to put me through CCNA and Juniper training (pretty good when you weigh up the costs of that sort of training), so will be looking to move into IP configuration fully in the next 12 months. What is it you do then? And for whom? I work as a video conferencing support technician for a motor manufacturer. Have some networking background, having already done a CCNA/CCNP.....just bought a lab off ebay to get started on the CCIE. Need some networking knowledge to troubleshoot videoconferencing issues... duplex mismatches, QoS verfication on switches, telnetting to video sytems via IP to make config changes, etc.... nothing too complex..... but hopefully if I can get myself a CCIE I can move more towards LAN/WAN support and eventually design/planning

lol....sorry about that...I typed in "cisco" as a search to see if there were threads on cisco study, and this thread popped up....so I thought I'd add my two pennies worth :D
