So the head is back from being skimmed and is ready for rebuild! :D
-
Yeah i think all these Super Mods need to prove themselves!!! :D
-
Has anyone come across this web Wiki for cars? i would of thought that a our forum would be the best people to complete the entre for the Corrado don't you? :D Now there's a challenge...... http://wikicars.org/en/Volkswagen_Corrado

Abdul in which case I really hope you find a job. What are the wheels? finish the look a treat.
-

-
love the look of your car and would have thought that it would have been easy to find a new home for it..
-
nice looking car! may need a little work on the arches to get the 9" to fit up front...but the schmidts always look good but then i am biased :D
-
Jon/Jim will let you both know when i am picking mine up!
-
Yes if we had found probs with the engine it would not have been pretty! Thanks for the other comments.. :-)

-
Yes I can see why you bought them.. but would like to see you enjoying the car. Mind you would like to see it with 450 and read your posts on it then.
-
i love the oven baking! so new pistons a project for later! you need to drive this car a bit so are you leaving it for the winter project?
-
I felt good going into this work as the engine sounded really good. But it is great to find out that your feel for the car turned out to be good. Mind you I was only missing a very small gap one mot in the 15 year history. Good luck with yours

Car has done 77k and the records don't show the engine ever been opened so. No chain work. The top tensioner ie usually the prob..get that early and chains can last well beyond 100k
-
supercharger in place before the head came off! glad that gold engine cover is not going back on! :D
-
Some more pics chains, tensioner and bore! :D
-
this is what running rich looks like! but if thats the only think found i am well happy :D
-
no matter how you look at it, it ain't good! would have been good to keep it out of insurance! is there damage beyond the bumper? second hand bumper and paint isn't going to cost you a grand! drive round with it as is until bumpers ready and then change over no hire car needed.. i would suggest trying to get a settlement with the bin men and doing it yourself!
-
Engine running a little rich all the time...... these are the pattern temp sensors fitted to the new stat housing that we think are to blame! new VW ones ordered...
-
Here are some pics they are not in bad shape, but i think they could do with some new seals. you could always get them down to Big Red for a refurb they make them look so good! 8) http://www.biggred.co.uk postage to anywhere in the UK is around £15 express or standard £10
