  2. Wow that must have felt good making such a profit Me and a few friends for a laugh are having a bit of a competition on sunday the challenge is to spend 20 pounds at a car boot and re sell on ebay for as much of a profit as possible ! Its all a bit of fun really but at the same time could make us a bit of cash

  9. This is what i had made up mate there 5 mm black foamex Try some sign companys they will have the means to cut the shape easy enough They need a light sand on the cut edges but other than that they are a pretty good fit
  10. I have about 15 templates at home for the shape of the ash tray is i had them cut on a router machine out of 5mm black foam so just need the guttering gluing on ill put sum pics up there free to who ever wants one just postage cost ! There very rigid in the foam so probs better than a cd case
  11. Side pics we need side pics lol looks like your finaly getting there tho mate
  12. You will struggle to make a beast out of a 1.8 full stop inless you have a lot of money , swapping a vr lump requires the subframe swap also ( some one correct me if im wrong ) and all the driveshafts as vrs are a wider track to the 1.8 and 2ltr cars ! Not sure on the g60 Dropping a 1.8t in would be a good bet on power but its still gonna cost you a fair bit even if you do all the work ie you have to get the loom chopped and the ecu reprogrammed and stuff like that , it all costs money Im no mega mechanic but if your after power why not start with a vr or 1.8t already installed instead of jumping in at the deep end and swapping engines about first off just live with it then slowly decide what mods you want to do to increase the power . You could put the engine transplant money in to buying a car with the engine you want already in it so it saves alot of hassle from the off
  13. Thats alot of miles lol gotta be one of the highest surely ??

  21. I dont know about awsome but i strongly reccomend not going to ricci concept !! Apart from the guy who owns it there being a arrogant tail whos only happy if hes got a 911 on his ramps , when i had my valver i i asked him to quote me for a 1.8 turbo conversion , this was his answer ...... Yes it will be 8 to 10 thousand without a remap !!! And that was last year and it was that price if i supplied the engine lol , i walked out
  22. On long runs my old 2.0 16 v was rubbish it just constantly seemed to be reving hard , the vr on the other hand is smooth and sits nice at 70 ,80 ... Short cold runs in the vr tho is not so good tho but can still manage to get about 27mpg by the end of my 5 mile commute from cold This was last year full loaded on the way back from camping with just the gf in the front and all the crap in the back and it was country roads for about 70 miles
