I'll have a pair of late lenses available when I swap mine over. Andy

Anyone have one with all the fixings still intact? Cheers, Andy

One needed for a 1990 1.8 16v Money waiting with postage to liverpool or local pick-up. Thanks in advance, Andy

We normally just burst the windows and we're away ;) As much as I'd love to attack it with a hammer I've not long had it resprayed so it's not an option.

Thanks Stone; I'll look into that also! ---------- Post added at 8:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:30 PM ---------- I'll retire 'til the weekend ;)

Cheers for the replies Gents; a cup of tea and five minutes I'll be back out there full of enthusiasm!

The pin rises up as it should when I operate the key, but it slowly drops down a touch. I've got the door card half off and I've tried opening it mechanically with no joy.

Evening all! I repaired my door handle with a kit from Dave last week and the handle was working perfect since. Now, it may be purely coincidental but last night I tried to unlock the door and the central locking instantly locked the door again. I can get in through the passenger side but I cannot open the drivers door from inside or outside the car. When I turn the key it sounds like the pump is operating the pump as it should but it's obviously not unlocking the door. Is there anything I can do to get the door open? Many thanks, one angry Corrado owner :(

Is that located in the tank?

Thanks for your replies everyone! Davidwort; my fuel pump is very noisy and I've never changed the fuel filter in the four years I've owned the car. Could this be an issue? I refer to the car as a she because, like females, she's a pain in the backside.. :) I only do around 10 miles a day normally so I understand the poor return as the engine will still be cold. But, when I've been on a run along the motorway, like my trip to Leeds last week, it wasn't any better. I'd be better off with a VR but I've just spent a good few quid on this and the Liverpool postcode isn't good for insuring a VR6 thanks to our darling thieves.

Hello Ladies and Mentalmen! My car is a thirsty machine; I've had it 'tuned' at a bosch centre recently and they said the car was set up fine and everthing was spot on. Annoyingly though she still smells like she's running rich and the best i've had on a run is around 26 mpg. In English it's costing me the best part of £25/30 notes for my 100 miles a week I do. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can look for or any idea why she's so thirsty? Thanks guys!

The "what went wrong with my Corrado today" thread

Starter motor through it's hand in yesterday. Winner winner chicken dinner..! -
N reg dark blue 16v spotted on Stanley Road in Bootle yesterday. Looked really tidy and nice to see another, other than mine. :D
-
No idea on a price but that is a stunning motor mate!
-
Aye. And to be honest mate, there's better 'projects' knocking about.

The car is in Liverpool and he wants £300 for it. It's not running at the mo either but he thinks it's just the injectors being a little rusty. It would make a great modern classic if someone can put time and effort into her.
-
It's a 16v on a 'H' plate. It started life as the 1.8 but it's now got a 2.0 16v lump. Thanks for your help Gents, after sleeping on it I think I'll give it a miss and concentrate on mine.

Hello people! I was offered an early Nugget Yellow Corrado so I popped round to have a look today and it's a non-sunroof model with wind-up windows. Are these rare/unusual? I just want to save it from being torn to pieces or scrapped so I'm trying to gauge it's resale value. Thanks people!
-
I also saw a blue one the other night in by The Netherton pub. Apart from mine I don't see any others around Liverpool.
-
I'll have to check that it will fit, Rob. Thanks mate. Cheers Lion, London is a bit far but if I get stuck I'll give you a shout.

Afternoon all! I'm looking for a replacement sunroof, preferably glass for my knackered Corrado one. A B4 Passat estate or an Octavia estate sunroof I believe are the best bet. Cash waiting , thanks!

I saw this car on the Trader a couple of weeks back.. I have Stoseks on my corrado, the centres should be painted and the rim should be diamond cut. Mine are in a bit of a state though, just like my tornado pink car :D
-
Cheers Harry. Mines just a 16v so I shouldn't have an issue there. I've seen a picture of a Corrado on here that's lowered 40mm on 16'' wheels and it looked about right so I think I'll just buy some 40mm springs.

Thanks for your input guys! I've got a new set of 'Boge' springs and shocks that say Mk2 golf on the box, I'm presuming that these will fit? Failing that the coilover route may be the best option.. nlau1; I would be interested in swapping the splitter with you yes. Pm me mate. Cheers!
