Any updates on the gearbox?
-
Hi what mileage on the gearbox
-
Yep 45 sounds fine and i'm in no particular rush at the moment so whenever possible really
-
Would you take 40 pound collected for the gearbox
-
Have you still got the gearbox and if so what condition is it in. I'm assuming its the hydraulic clutch type. Also do you happen to have an alternator available. Many thanks Mike

Grey j reg at the horton inn car parklooked very tidy
-
Just wandering if there is any way to tell the two 16 valves apart would be interesting to see how many early valvers there are left.
-
Ive actually been doing that slowly i have done all the running gear already, and i have a PAS rack ready to go on when the weather gets a bit warmer.
-
The bolt sheared the threads where the locking nut was holding onto, and yeah i was suprised to see it, can only really put it down to an old bolt or a weakness in the bolt. Ive sheared an m24 bolt before at work because of a flaw in the bolt. But on the plus side a new bolt cv gaitor and tracked up and its back on the road, just the wing to sort out at the weekend now.

Will have to check out greenflag then. The driveshaft nuts are easy to get off if you have a bit of scaffold pipe, they are tight. Make sure when it goes back together that the torque washer is the right way round and the new nut is tighten up to 195lb ft.

On the way to work this morning after replacing the cv joints on the offside of the car and the ball joint pinch bolt on the nearside decided to shear the thread of the bolts resulting in this. Not a pleasant experience at 45mph and with no warning. Then the lovely RAC took 4 hours to recover it back home and charging me an additional £100 pound for recovery as it was further then 10 miles from my home, so lesson learnt back with the AA next year.

Am i right in thinking its £123 to post plus £16 tax, and then courier or collection from exeter? -
Well bit more progressed today been polishing up a couple of inlet manifolds and connecting a few wires up, so slowly getting there just need the welding to be done now so i can finish the engine and hopefully get her started http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/photo.php?fbid=10150387618980074&set=a.10150362410120074.601202.619505073&theater

Yep put me down for a 70mm splitter as well please -
Just checked the forum and this has been discussed before but there was no answers to the problem. Basically my 89 valver was bought standard and everything was straight and true, since then i have replaced all the cv joints, wheel bearings (done at a garage) wishbones bushes, balljoints and lowered it on coilovers with 15 inch wheels. But today when i was tracking it up both the nearside wheels are 20mm further out than the offside (measured using a plumb bob from the arch to the middle of the hub).Ive checked the wheels and they are both straight and the same size, swapped them over anyway and no difference. Also checked for any play which there is none. The car has no signs of accident damaged anywhere and the wings are both early ones. Im totally lost any ideas?

New favourite picture of the 'c'
-
Looks tidy mate always has a thing for the g60 but dont think i can bring myself to have a third corrado just yet
-
Yeah they are very addictive but luckily i only have the space for two. Today was chasing the rust spot to make sure that there was no more hiding on the inner wing and luckily no more was found. Just the one hole which will be welded soon. On another note the wheels at the back are 235 17s which the arches have been rolled for, how likely are these to hit the inner arch?
-
Finally after a month delay the car is back home and treated to the first was in 4 years now for the work to start and aiming to get it roadworthy by summer, and especially stoner. Found a suprise that it still has the original untouched first aid kit as well.
-
Lowered on cheap rokkor coilovers at the moment measures 57.5cm from floor to arch all round with 15 inch lenso's on
-
Hi there does anyone know of a car trailer which can be borrowed/ rented in the dorset area for this saturday as need to pick up a car. Many thanks in advance Mike
-
Just bought myself a second corrado which needs a fair bit of work, but too good an opportunity to be missed. The car is a 94 corrado vr6 with 90k on the clock 50k on the engine It has been chipped with a custom cat and exhaust and rolling roaded at 208bhp lowered on 17" wolfrace wheels Bodywork and paint in near perfect condition Full sound system with twin subs and amps grooved and drilled discs all round The bad points are that the car has been sat up for 4 years, with the top half of the engine exposed after the timing chain was renewed, there is also a rust hole on the offside strut which needs attention. Just cant wait to get it back now and start working on it. And the price, £100.

a pub sounds good providing there is no speedbumps there, bloody things
