Thanks, any tips for using this stuff on plastic, want to do mine in brown but was thinking paint would give me an undesired cheap look so didnt really want too, plus this would be usefull for dash vents for instance. Cheers for that.

209 is shocking, not sure what else can be done, does any one know if these are interchangeable between vw models or engines? would give a bigger range to choose from. Ask people breaking them on ebay should have one. Is this the stuff people use to change their leather colour?
-
what paint did you use for the gear stick surround, looks fully smart, i want a tan looking one, whats the finish like also? cheers
-
ahaha bet he wouldnt like that comment. Least he makes a good cuppa hey... Saying that i want one (Tea though coffee is horrible stuff) Mines got stuff in it and id imagine id pull it over or something, im fairly accident prone. Im assuming that one of your experiences, fair play, its nuts.

i would give my left arm to be able to fli my car over in a garage and work on it. life would be so much easier, not to mention warmer. i would be interested to see if one day this car will show its face again. :)

How long did it take you to carry out this conversion? I want it but im not sure if i cant wait 4 years to drive again... aha. -
not sure if you can use other ones from different engines but... may help Same comany anyway the mk2 one is so im sure if that wont fit they would be able to source one for you. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Idle-air-cont ... 3a555e1256 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Golf-Passat-1- ... 19be1598da No second hand ones on there from what i found. Out of intrest, are these interchangable?

fully nice car mate, the engine bay is porn worhty. :) -
fair play, bit of a sex change from the bmw but still a fairly smart car, and VW so i supose itshould be nice to drive. Far from a corrado though kad. What were you old seats in the rado, they look brown leather from the picture i saw. Cheers mate. Bet youve seen my baby suffering for a couple of weeks. Is in need of help - Mot. aha.
-
they are looking sweet, liking the colour tbh too. Bet you were chuffed when yougot them babys on. aha Did you spray your rear lights?
-
sound mate, makes it a wee bit easier to find a cheap one.
-
cheers for that all. Does that mean id be able to use a 2l valvers rad also? As i would obviously rather a vw one as i do do alot of driving in traffic and my car had troubles with overheating anyway when sitting still... Im imagining their alot more pricey than £30... when tbf thats three a year if their £120... pretty much worth buying a cheaper one anyway...

And mine :( Im asuming winter didnt treat our cars nicly? I know it definatly didnt for mine. How did it go at jabba sport? -
Which would be the best option if im thrashing it, standard one? Cheers. also, is this one not advised? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Radiator-VW-Corra ... f3ffe4212a
-
aha yea mate, looks spot on, appart from the skett on the grill aha. Could go a bit more :) aha... Nah it looks very nice mate, those lights look a treat too. Good luck with the getting it road legal. :D
-
Which rads are recomended, cheers. Got it out, bit of a bugger but al least it out, bit messy but got there eventually. Is there a chance it could leak from around the sensor or what ever the plug is on the bottom right of the radiator? Im asuming the only way to test it is with a bath? aha. Cheers. Aidan Also how the hell do you properly do the clips which hold the hoses on, ones which you can wedge a screw driver in and prise off, took me ages. I hate vw for things like those.
-
Cheers people, i will have another go at removing it, i did remove the two bolts on the slam pannel but it would not pull out after i had done so, cheers again. Been working ym arse off so havnt got round to it but will have a go now. Thanks
-
I have bodged it with tape but i think ive established this wasnt the reason for my car cutting out. Cheers also mate, would be good. People asking silly prices for them.
-
Its a 1.8 16v It seems i have a leak as i put water in her and she pisses it all out at the front, asuming my rad is gone. Trying to get it out and the 4 bolts holding it in are a rite bugger to get, behind the horn/grill/etc There is the 2 on the left which seem impossible to get without taking ost the front off, is there an easier way of doing this as i feel im just missing some easy simple steps, tried taking fan and rad out but cant get the left side support out the hole... Sorry but if my car didnt break so much i wouldnt have to ask. I also have what i think is oil in the water, my car wont start, does this indicate anything specific? As my mot expired 7 days ago and i want her back. Cheers fellas
-
Looking good those seats are, alot smarter. I also would like to know of this, im sure i have seen this done before and it worked a treat, my carpet is brown but should be grey and i would like to do the same but not leave patches of water within the carpet. Good work though mate
-
im sure there is a little clip underneath it which you can pull up and crack it off.
-
works looking good mate, least im not the only one whos car beaks on them on a dialy basis. Looks a nice c too. Good luck wiht the handbreak gator, love to help but mine came without one. :D Im asuming their a pain to get off.
