show me these meshies :) aha -
hasnt got an imobiliser, also i used a phone charger to test all the relays to see if they worked, all click (Which i presume means they work) It takes a little time and is a little sluggish for initial start but it only stays on for about 3-5 seconds, revs up to around 1500 - 2000 rpm then the battery light comes on just before it chugs to an end.... I have tested most wires around my car and they seem fine, my oil primer or what ever the buzz is works.... Ive read a that it may be caused by an overrun cut off valve and alsosomehting to do with and isv, i think... aha sorry. Would a problem with my starter motor cause it to cut off when running... Seems as though there is an air leak or something but there arnt any which i can find... tthere is a tear in the main pipe attatching to the inlet manifold but this has no leaks in it as it has been sealed with tape (I know ths is bodge) but the slit is also past where the entrance for the air goes so could not cause a problem... But yea pretty much fires up fine then dies... revs are very slow when i accelerate also.
-
yea jsut the fuses, i think the pump fuse is no 13 but i may be wrong.... I think i may be having the same problem, starts goes to 1500 rpm then dies....
-
Also something which is above my oil filter has 2 wires attatched by plugs, little clear slip on plugs which also have another wire attatched which is not attatched to anything and it doesnt look ike there is anything for it to go onto either so ive jsut left it disconnected, there is also a wire with a little blue end which has nothing to connect to either not sure what either do, picture may be a better explination of what they are compared to my discription. Also at the moment when i star my car, it shoots up to 1500 rpm then dies.... Cheers

sorry but to me it just looks like a block of plastic with holes in it I did have more than i listed tbh i just stated the ones i rememberd, they are listed from top left as - [Gap] [72] [Gap] [blank] [42] [21] [Gap] [19] [Gap] [53] [53] [67] Blank one is a blank relay and the gap is where there is no relay.. Cheers for the help mate. Also both the 53's are upsidedown... £34 for a relay from VW and their around a few quid on ebay..... jokes.

i have found 2 wires which dont seem to have spark i think yelow and black, on the right near the front of the air box and injection unit.... it is just behind the drivers headlamp, its not the head lamp. Cheers, if this does usually not spark, please tell me also but it would help to know how i can fix these as they go near the chassis leg which is a bit awkrawd to reach to see if there are problems, cheers. i also dont have a relay which has 80 on it, have 2x '52' and one which waz 63 i think and another which was blank.... Not sure which to change or look at, cheers.

do mk3 golf window winders fit the mechanisms for the corrado ones as the corrado ones are a load of rubbish, both of mine have rounded off and dont do anything anymore... Also, anyone got any door handles or know were i can find some, ebay has none, i dont have centeral locking so i cant get the passat ones Cant use the repair as the plastick bit has broken not the bit which i would get in the repair kit... Need two of them for mot.... cheers

you got any pictures of the sun visors, i tried this with a needle and my hands, was insanley hard and took me a long time for something which quilte obviously looked crap so i got rid of them, aat the monent their sprayed black which looks ok but my roof is brown and i want them in the material used on my roof lining but it seems impossible as their small and getting the detail out of them would be silly hard. Good efort on this interior mate, kills it.

£4 a tyre, b4st4rds. Should look nice, stick um up when youve got them on... Holiday is over now so id imagine there will be less of the getting pissed... Instead, fiing cars in dodgey weather. Gotta love it. Do what ive done and do half gold and half black, ive got one side black and one polished. Gives a bit of difference... -
its a 1.8 16v and the ignition switch is fine, relays have not been changed recently though, not sure on which ones is the fuel relay and i dont want to go pulling stuff from my car which i have no idea what it does.... Could anything to do with my idle valve cause this? Does anyone know which relays i should overlook, thanks. Cheers for the help mate

get those pictures of these wheels up mate, they look smart. -
I can now get it started but it dies after about 4 seconds, if i dont give it some it dies straight away. At the moment i want to set it on fire. Would be cheaper.
-
Or the reflective stuff inside has pealed away, mine have done this on one side but its not too bad...

sprinkles of luck dont usually happen when owning an old vw, more like a shower of bricks. -
as said in another thread which has been moved back to this one: Sorted the battery, starter seems to be working but havnt replaced it, it died on me erlia and it wouldnt idle, had to keep the revs on and its was struggling then, then it eventually went after sitting at traffic lights for a while, got it started down a hill in second then pulled onto my drive (As it luckily decided to go up the road from my house) Cut out when i pulled up and wouldnt start again, turns over but wont start, can hear it wanting to go but it doesnt fire up kind of fires up a little then dies, also when i got it running after it cut out the first time when i changed gear it was very jumpy, jumpy enough my my dash to look like it was moving when i changed gear.... worked fine about 5 mins before.... help me please, any suggestions would be beneficial, mot in 6 days, wouldnt be good if it didnt start at all... aha. Cheers people, sorry my car is such a pain in the arse, least its not a pain in the wallet for you lot. Cheers for that mate, ive been throwing hundreds at this and it still overheats wont start etc etc (Also on the 1st i poped my tyre on a pothole) good day to enter the new year ay. Im sorry but i dont know where the fuel relay is to look at it, what would be noticably wrong with it? All fuses seem fine, changed ones which i thought could be a problem. Tried it a little while ago, got it going but only if i had my foot all the way down, then id let off the revs would dramatically start falling and then it either cuts out or i give it some beans to keep it going. Eventually cuts out after while and again wont start for beans....
