Took her for an MOT saturday and ....................FAIL :censored: not to bad though, rear calliopers which I thought were a bit iffy and a fuel leek, turns out the fuel filter wounldnt look out of place on an episode of time team! found some more bodge jobs under the car :bad-words: ill enjoy the car one day
-
Im sick to death of finding bodge jobs on my C! First one I found was inside, some one has had half the interior out to fit a sound system n made a monumental fook up of putting it all back in, half the screws and clips that hold it all in place are missing or broke, new holes have been drilled to compensate for the loss of screws. Second, Patchwork paint that looks like its been done with a bog brush Just found one under the car, the bracket that holds the fuel pump n all that gubins in place is all broke leaving just one bolt and a cable tie to hold it all in place. Rant over….for now! :censored: :bad-words: :mad2: :brickwall: :pukeright: :hitler:

At long last I have managed to fit my D90's :D 30mm spacers 195/45/16 tyres and they are just about rite! the fronts dont rub at all but had to bring the back up untill i attack the rear arches as they were eatin the my new rubber :censored: Had a bit of a problem, the bolts that came with the addaptors were a bit long and cracked the brake disk when i tightend em :epicfail: oooooooooooops!!!! but that just gave me an excuse to get some new ones :norty: Decided to go 20v turbo in the next few month, was goin to take it off the road and rebuild the whole car, but that can wait till next winter. plus i just booked my ferry to the Ring so hope to get the engine swap before then

cheers bud :salute: sure ill be back with more noob questions soon
-
its all startin to make sense now, but: -what is the differance between the ko4 and ko3? (bigger turbo and injectors?) -would it be ok to get a ko3 (if i geta ko3!) and then strap a bigger tubo and injectors on in the future when i have funds for a custom remap? I think ill go down the qpeng rout just for the simplicity of it all! sorry if im pesterin but like to know what im takin on! cheers for the info

Hello im planning on putting a 20vt into my raddo in the near future. i have been looking at the openg system and have a couple of questions about it: -does it use a new ecu that h is ready mapped or just allow you to use the original (original 20vt ecu) without the imobilaser problems? -if its a new ecu what type of power output does it give? i can get hold of an engine, box and loom that allows you to use the standard 20vt ecu for 1500 or 2000 with the s3 engine! the other choice i have is to buy a full car (seen a suitable mk4 goof) get a wire diagram from vw and create my own loom (my brother is a dab hand with car electrics!), then sell the rest on ebay to put towards the build and custom remap! Any advice is welcom
-
yea man, hammered them all in, then flattened any cracked paint on the inner and rust protected[/quote:39q3csjn] nice one, will give it a bash tomorow, literaly
-
did you just hammer the lip in on your arches? the lip on the rear is has taken a chunk out of the tyres on my d90's :censored:
-
i know this question has been asked before but im thinking of putting a 20vt into my c and want to know how to do it. -what do i need? -what needs to be fabricated? -are the engine mounts the same? -are there certain engines to avoid? -and generally what needs to be done? any advice/links are welcome :D

Spotted owner of a slammed red valver shoppin for fancy dress outfit  hope to get some tyres very soon, may have a ride up to venom (at least i think its venom at ribchester!) for some addaptors saturday, may even take the fishin rod and have a couple of hours on the ribble
-
Bits and bobs have been happening, fitted the coilover that came with the car about a week ago, sits low now but the ride isnt as harsh as i thought it would be :D the only problem is the current wheels catch on the rear springs so runnin spacers on one side and sebring on the other :gag: the car has developed a missfire when cold, but sure it will be an easy fix, but its still a fix :brickwall: :hitler: i finished refurbin the D90s but was (excuse the pun) 'Let down' by with the tyres i ordered and the bloke who gave me his number about a set of adaptors dont answer the bloody phone :censored: but to cheer things up again had a good day at the yorkshire meet, met some nice people and seen some rather nice cars  piccies: sits nice  the coldest carpark ..................................... in the world! The Wheels Before After At long last the wheels are finished, just need tyres and addaptors now!

If you scroll to the top off all the markers, you'll see the edit button. Click on that, then scroll back down to your marker, click once on that, and hey presto - you can edit your details. When finished, click ok on the marker box, then scroll back up through the markers, and you'll see a 'done' button. I've removed you reg no for you though! good man :salute:
-
i was a bit drunk when i added my marker and put my reg number on, now i dnt know how to change it :cuckoo:
-
i know that this question has been asked millions of time but to set my mind at rest can someone please tell me what size adaptors they are runnin on their D90's they are 7" up front and 8" at the rear will be running 195 45 16 tyres all round running quite low (well i say quite but some would say very!) from what i gather 30mm or 35mm will do the job i want to keep the ride hight low so what size would give best arch and strut clearance, 30mm or 35mm :confused4: pics would be nice to if people have any
