  1. Yeh, but impact must have been so severe that it stops the controller registering the drop below 14mph?

    lupo wipers

After the rain we had in Manchester this morning - I can certainly recommend Lupo wipers- makes a change being able to see through the screen when driving above 60mph.
  3. Spoiler still in the up position on red one...
  4. Would be interested in set of rears for VR6, poss front dependant on price..
  5. just been to "sunny" Anglesey for the week, spotted 2 Corrado's Wednesday 18th August - White N plate VR6 heading down the A5025 towards Menai Bridge/A5, about 5 in the afternoon Thursday 19th - blue M plate VR6 heading into Caernarfon on A487, 4.30 ish..
  6. Dr Mat is correct, BHP will not change. IIRC, 1 BHP is the work done to raise a 1 lb weight by 3000ft - ie a measure of power. Lightweight wheels will, i think accellerate faster when torque is applied - but probably the difference wont be noticeable?
  7. Plenty of VW enthusiasts in the rail industry - take a look round Longsight depot car park (Manchester) Mk1golfs, Mk 2 golfs, Corrado's, polo's, the lot.
  8. Would it be the red C parked on Gus car park on Chancellor Lane?
  9. thinking about it, I've been every other year since '98, cracking weekend....
  10. red H plate corrado at Le Mans - 24/25th july on maison Blanche campsite..
  11. Unfortunately it would appear that the rear lights that I ordered from Matty123 have been lost in the post also. I have spoken to the guy several times - tells me he is claiming compensation from the Post office, but I'm still waiting... My only advice to anyone would be to meet this guy face to face and only pay for the goods once you have them in your hands. Ok, we all share a common interest in here, but some people seem to be very unlucky with parcel post, be wary..
  12. Burgundy H reg, heading towards Atherton through Tyldesley on Tuesday, lunch time?
  13. Common scam then? Guy from Australia has offered to buy my brother-in-law's V-Max, £2000, plus he will send £3000 extra to cover cost of shipping to Australia...
  14. Toyo's get my vote, wet grip is good, dry grip fantastic. Not too noisy on the road either.
  15. there's a good article on the Corrado Club of Canada web site detailing tinting rear lights.
  16. It really annoys the sh*t out of me though when a car is described as "absolutely immaculate" or whatever and you drive so far to view it and it's a complete dog! If local forum members are willing to spare 30 minutes or so viewing potential cars locally, it could save some other forum member a few hour and gallons of wasted fuel.
  17. Would be willing to pre-view locally.... must have spent all of 30 seconds on one car, someones "pride and joy" every panel dented, scuffed bumpers each corner, hole in one headlight, both foglamps cracked and an interior that looked like a dog had trampled through a muddy field prior to sitting on every seat. AND the guy wanted £7000 for it!
  18. if they had debited my credit card, then yes, they would have to let me have a set at £82.25, but I don't think they have actually taken payment. The "on-line" buying procedure allows you to get all details accepted, it's only when some guy in the shop checks that they realise they've sold em already....such is life.
  19. Springs have been sold - i tried on thursday, accepted credit card details, had email confirming order and everything... Got a call on friday from Performance Centre saying that they were already sold - but could have a set at £135.00 if still interested..
  20. Local breakers yard - £20 for the locks and handles both sides. Drill the pin out which holds the child lock switch and bend the release striker up about 3mm, straight swap other than that.
  21. L***NPU on M56 nr manchester Airport, 1230 on Tuesday?
  22. red rado on a K44*** parked near Deansgate railway station; about 3am on friday morning?
  23. Spotted a N plate storm, in blue twice last week; waiting at lights on A580 (East Lancs Road) / Newearth Road and again spotted at roundabout onto M60 at Worsley, around 7.30 to 8.00am both times. Anyone on here?
  24. Could be leak in system - system needs to be checked out otherwise you could need re-gassing every few weeks. Needs vacuum pump to draw down to near perfect vacuum and carry out "holding" test
