  3. Copy of post: Guys My flatmate's car went missing last night from Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock, Essex. It's a NERO BLACK 16V LANCIA DELTA INTEGRALE = REG F148 TRK and is completely original. It has a Goodwood Festival of Speed sticker in the rear window and a Monza Autosport badging on the rear hatch Photo of it below... Can you please keep your eyes peeled - stolen from Essex area but had a fair bit of petrol in it and the time of theft is unknown, so it could have been driven anywhere before even being reported Any help appreciated - this has been posted on SXOC, GTIROC and MLR as far as I know, if you could post a link on any other forums you frequent would be great Thanks *mod edit - Added pic here instead of linking to it - Henny*
  4. They sent out reminders automatically so there's every reason to suspect they can send out penalty notices too. Sorry to be on a downer, wifes just had to tax her cruiser, along with a 12k service, bit of bodywork due to her crap parking, next it my C's drivers door, though will probably get the whole side and bonnet resprayed at the same time and then it's tax time for me too. :( just show me the razor blades now !
  5. A friend of mine has one of these and he's as enthusiastic about it as I am of the Corrado, I know there are a few guys on here from the area so I thought I'd post a link. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forum/showthread ... post337764

  10. What is regarded as average mileage for a car? 8k, 10k, 12k per annum?
  11. Of nearly 3000 registered users only 20 votes so far?
  12. Clearly this thread should start a poll! We already have one for what u got, how about one for what colour c u got? General colours would be sufficient I think, red, blue, green, black, white, grey, burgundy (I know it's a red but don't want to upset anyone)

    Crash in Greenwich

I would definetly get a second and third opinion. They would suggest their own co for the claim, they'll get a nice kick back from it!
  14. May be the seller was aiming to beat this guy (found on the Darwin Awards site even if it was bogus!!) Jet Assisted Take-Off 1995 Darwin Awards Winner Confirmed Bogus by Darwin The Arizona Highway Patrol were mystified when they came upon a pile of smoldering wreckage embedded in the side of a cliff rising above the road at the apex of a curve. The metal debris resembled the site of an airplane crash, but it turned out to be the vaporized remains of an automobile. The make of the vehicle was unidentifiable at the scene. The folks in the lab finally figured out what it was, and pieced together the events that led up to its demise. It seems that a former Air Force sergeant had somehow got hold of a JATO (Jet Assisted Take-Off) unit. JATO units are solid fuel rockets used to give heavy military transport airplanes an extra push for take-off from short airfields. Dried desert lakebeds are the location of choice for breaking the world ground vehicle speed record. The sergeant took the JATO unit into the Arizona desert and found a long, straight stretch of road. He attached the JATO unit to his car, jumped in, accelerated to a high speed, and fired off the rocket. The facts, as best as could be determined, are as follows: The operator was driving a 1967 Chevy Impala. He ignited the JATO unit approximately 3.9 miles from the crash site. This was established by the location of a prominently scorched and melted strip of asphalt. The vehicle quickly reached a speed of between 250 and 300 mph and continued at that speed, under full power, for an additional 20-25 seconds. The soon-to-be pilot experienced G-forces usually reserved for dog-fighting F-14 jocks under full afterburners. The Chevy remained on the straight highway for approximately 2.6 miles (15-20 seconds) before the driver applied the brakes, completely melting them, blowing the tires, and leaving thick rubber marks on the road surface. The vehicle then became airborne for an additional 1.3 miles, impacted the cliff face at a height of 125 feet, and left a blackened crater 3 feet deep in the rock. Most of the driver's remains were not recovered; however, small fragments of bone, teeth, and hair were extracted from the crater, and fingernail and bone shards were removed from a piece of debris believed to be a portion of the steering wheel. Ironically a still-legible bumper sticker was found, reading "How do you like my driving? Dial 1-800-EAT-SHIT."

    Crash in Greenwich

khurrado, sorry to read about your accident, but that's all it was.. an accident. I don't really think there was any need for jumping out of your car with a crowbar. That's what has probably caused your back pain. I'm not surprised the guy gave you money, it sounds as though you were extremely intimidating. At the end of the day it was an accident and that's why we pay for insurance, to cover the cost of accidents. Stop trying to screw people about and just claim off the guy's insurance, get your bumper repaired/replaced and get on with life. It's too bloody short to get peed off about what looks like a scratch.
  17. I see more red, blue, green and white than my grey :D

What is the normal rpm at idle for the 1.8 16v?
  21. The wife got me a Virgin Thrill Experience for my birthday earlier this year, choices between Rally, 4X4 or single seater. Not too sure how much she paid but all three only gave "2 to 3 hours at the site, to include briefing, instruction and time out on your own" I went for the single seater, bit daft of me as I'm not exactly small, either way, I only got about 25mins actual track time with an without the instructor at Goodwood. Most of the time was taken up, with the briefing, (braking, racing lines etc.) and alot of time was wasted as an instructor took 2 people at a time out on the track, while this is going on you are just stood around. I went back to Goodwood a month or so later with a mate who has a Porker 944 for a track day and had a better time, more time on the track both as a driver and a passenger. That was about £195.00 for the day and included lunch! I would not go for the Virgin thing again but it all really depends what you want out of it. I wanted more time actually driving on my own.
  22. My drivers door window had a simlar problem, checked it out and the glass had come out of the plastic runners, just needed to be re-seated and alls working again.
  23. £30.00 is purely for the instructions on how to do the conversion, Parts are a seperarte buy, says so on the website, also states that some doors will have to come out to the side before lifting vertically, sounds quite cool but the fittings needed for the C doors will cost a bomb, they are bloody heavy as any one who has changed/re-fiitted a door will agree. Besides you'll be buggered if you park in some of these new multi story car parks with quite low ceilings! Kind of reminds me of when Richard Hammond and James May took the p**s out of Jezza and his "on order" Ford GT-40, getting in and out in a car park would be murder! Different type of doors I know but the thread just reminded me of it anyway :)
  24. These guys have a cool V DUB Corrado badge for their custom number plates http://www.gtgrafix.com/newOrders/gtPlateBuilder.htm £30 a pair
