Looks great but is it worth such a premium based on the mileage..... Well yes IMO. It twice what's mine selling for but done half my Milage I would want some better pics though close ups as they are not the best currently.
-
I agree but you just need an enthusiast with deep pockets I paid over £4k last year and was prepared to pay a lot more for a low mileage one. Problem is there is a small gene pool of buyers imo. Must admit my experience is a lot of potential buyers want something for nothing (or maybe I am too biased).

Cheers for the matching efforts! To be honest can understand the desire for a Mystic! My wife think the Pearl Green and Cream is an old mans car .

Cheers for that V8 is a wildcard food for thought re the E30 I was thinking more a 318is (baby M3) always liked them. I can see me going full circle and going back to the C, I must admit I took it to the garage yesterday for a winter health check and those heated seats are a god send (even my povo spec MK6 Golf GTI doesn't have them).

Yeah its a beaut that one but its the other side of the country (I know you need be prepared to travel).
-
Fair point Jim should have said, No I am lucky that we have family dailies so it would be my toy/hobby, I may want to do the odd school run but a 2 seater is sufficient (the C always get more positive reaction than my daily).

It happens to most of us petrolheads at sometime ... Corrado in hibernation and thoughts wander of what next. I never keep cars long (my bad) but looking / considering whether to get a low milage/timewarp VR6 or something different to move on from my Corrado. Thought I gauge opinions from yourselves who at some point had similar thoughts / experiences. I would only be doing 2-3k a year so economy not too imp and would have a budget of around £6k, had a variety of cars Mk1,2,6 GolfGTI's , E46 M3 manual, 996, MX5's, MR2's. Current thoughts outside Planet C are Z4, 130i, E30, S2000, 350z, 944, Cooper S. Cheers Liam

VW Corrado Storm Pearl Green 102k miles FSH image2.PNG.jpeg image1.PNG-2.jpeg image3.PNG.jpeg image4.PNG-2.jpeg image5.PNG.jpeg IMG_05031.JPG IMG_0512.JPG Genuine reason for sale I have found a mint / low mileage Corrado that I would love to have but cannot afford to own 2 VR6's so this has to go. When I started my search for a mint Corrado I missed out on a couple and decided to lower SLIGHTLY my bar and get a very good condition / 100% reliable one with no rust! The car is awesome and I look forward to taking it for a spin at least once a week (it?s the best I have owned). I bought this off a fellow enthusiast / member Original 2.9 vr6 storm (190 bhp) Original BBS solitude alloys 2 x Firestone front tyres (in good condition) 2 x Continental rear tyres (in good condition) Classic Green pearl effect Great condition (original) Full cream heated leather 102K miles MOT: July 2015 Service next due: July 2015 or 111k (not it?s done as of 15th Jan 15 CAT 1 Alarm/Immobiliser HPI certificate Full history It has a combination of VW Main Dealer (mostly), 600 miles ago I had it serviced oil and fluids /MOT'ed VW mail dealer in Hereford and they commented it was the best example they had seen!- it has a very thick service file! General Fully working spoiler. Working sunroof (slides and tilts) although can sometimes be temperamental. Working electric mirrors. Working heated leather seats. Corrado mats - good condition. JVC fold away CD stereo head unit. No rust! Negatives (Hey it 19 nearly 20 years old!) The electric sunroof is temperamental and works on and off.. this is a common problem with Corrados. The BBS Solitude alloys have some curbing and could maybe do with re-furbing in the future not too bad just picky. There are a few stone chips to be touched up. The Air guide grill and 1 tow eye cover has a small amount of damage and can easily be fixed. The passenger leather seat has a small minimal amount of wear. All of these negatives where present when I bought the car but I was blown away by the paintwork and the amazing VR6 engine. I viewed several cars and this was the best under ?5k. I was looking at spending around 7k originally so planned to use the residual budget I had to MORE than cover these little niggles. In short This is a stunning car in great condition inside and out and I garage her (my daily isn?t so well cherished). It's been well looked after and regularly serviced in the past. I've have kept the car clean and tidy. It's in great condition throughout for a 20 year old car. There is no rust on the body and the paintwork is in very good condition - what minor marks there are too small to come across in photos! Its only ever been hand washed in my ownership using products from SuperGuard and for the leather Furniture Clinic. Its been 100% reliable in the time I've owned it and has never lost a drop of oil or water. It drives superbly and sounds great. There really are not many VR6 Storms left in this condition, this is a fast car and handles very well indeed... It looks great and is a real thrill and privilege to drive. It's a real head turner and i've received many compliments. I think i know the corrado market quite well and priced the car accordingly but feel free to challenge. I paid ?4k for it off VinnyVR6 last summer and have spend ?500 with receipts to prove. I am biased but I think original Storms are getting rarer only 240 manual Green storms were made and are now about 20 years old there cannot be that many left and certainly not in this kind of condition. Must admit I was tempted noticed them on the bay the other day (suckers like me born everyday) but if they are less Heritage then sounds even better. Thanks for the heads up! -
Looks like they have dropped £1k off this now now £5.5k must stop looking...
-
Whoops no worries. Irony personally paid full price as I bought my ticket ages ago didn't realise we (CCGB members) could get a fiver off I will remember for next time.

Mystic Storm on Autotrader "extremely rare"
liam_raddo replied to liam_raddo's topic in Ebay and Misc
Totally agree Jim. I mean this looks a great example and if I am honest better than mine and I am sure it would have got £4.5-5k of a member on here eventually. I would shudder to think what the guy got for this car from the dealer. Problem is though having the patience for the right buyer, I have always said of all the cars I have owned / sold the Corrado always proved to be the trickiest. -

Pretty tidy low miles Storm on autotrader ATM. I know as a Storm owner we can get carried away with the pseudo "exclusivity" but the advert blurb talked about extremely rare. Well I know it's an exclusive club but didn't appreciate we are on the cusp of extinction. Anyway I'd say this one is worth a look if your after a low milage offering. Thoughts...
-
There was I took it down. Here is the advert that made me buy it in the first place though! http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=87407 The only amendment is I have done an extra 1200 miles in it and serviced/ mot at VW Hereford.

Well in the summer I purchased a decent C from a Forumn member. Fortunately I have now convinced the Mrs I have funds to upgrade to a lower milage / mint C. Recently I tried to sell my Storm to buy a mint /low Milage C but had epic fail selling it (guess as I live in the middle of nowhere I didn't have one viewing). So not to be defeated if anyone on the forum is thinking of downsizing / release funds for other projects then PM me I have a great Storm which could be a daily but I think it's too good for that. I am plannig on going to NEC next month so hopefully see some of you their.
-
This is worth £4k all day long the problem is its a niche car and you need to be patient to find the right buyer. I tried to sell my VR6 (storm) recently and didn't have the patience and nearly sold it too cheaply. Issue I would say is time of year also, Keep the faith as with classic insurance they are pretty cheap to have as a weekend toy.
-
Hard to price as no other Storms were for sale at the time on P/H. Word rare is subjective I guess if we actually counted the number of VR6's with Storm badges (tbh we all know that's all it is with some other bits of fluff) it would probably be over 500!

Bill well spotted. I wanted what the car owed me originally but had dreamers wanting something for nothing. To mitigate the "£3k mate" brigade I raised the bar (as I assumed I was marketing the car too low), didn't even have a tickle so I reduced it. To be honest the reason I was selling was your fault ;-) ... I was looking to raise funds to buy of StoremanSteve's car (for £7.5k) but couldn't afford to own both at once as I already have a daily and fund my Track car. Some of you on here were aware that I was looking at spending £7k earlier this year but I missed out on a couple of awesome cars (ChrisL, Vaughan's etc..), so I lowered my bar and bought VinnyVR6's one which is a great example for the money. Anyway the whole experience of trying to sell my Corrado was awful and was beginning to affect my enjoyment of the Car/community (no personal digs here), long story short everything happens for a reason and I have withdrawn the advert and decided to keep stormy and use the money I saved from upgrading to the Blackberry on buying a trailer for my track car and sorting out the passenger seat on stormy. Glad I don't sell cars for a living or I'd be broke ;-)
-
I'm in a similar boat to you I have 4 cars including a Storm, I have decided to sell my Storm and A5 Interested to see people's views. Had an E46 for a while remapped and it was mental sold it as I was worried I'd lose my license (note I owned a 996 previously) and IMO the E46 (manual) was special, defo a bucket list car to have.

Thanks for sharing that for that money I would be looking for something better, guess these guys need to make there a profit. Still a great website though.
