Thanks Dinkus, The oil temp is fine, its between 80-90, but hasnt gone higher than that. I hope it is just a temperature sender! Does anyone know if there any pictures or how-to's of what I should be looking at cleaning (sensor / sender wise)? Russ.

Help! Over the past week I kept thinking I caught a red light flash on my dashboard, but when I glanced down everything was normal. I checked my oil & water & both were fine so I just thought I was seeing things. However Friday I had driven about half a mile down the road and this time I caught the temperature light flashing constantly, as this was happening the temp gauge was rising steadily to the top. I pulled over in a garage and stopped and the light stopped flashing and the gauge sank down to about 80 degrees. Again I checked my water and it was ok & not even hot. Ever since then whenever I pull away this starts happening, even from cold. It seems to be when ever I press down on the accelerator, but as soon as I back off it returns to normal. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on? Thanks, Russ.

Hi Dub Style, There is a guide on how to do this yourself on http://www.corrado-club.ca/ under the technical help section

I think this could verry well be what my rattling is caused by... The screw I mentioned in my previous post on this topic feels to be a bit loose and the noise is comming from behind that.
-
I have the same problem, its a strange noise in mine - it sort of sounds like a washer on a screw thats loose. Ive located it to a loose screw down underneeth and to the left a bit of the spoiler switch, which If I apply some pressure to it - it stops. Havent got round to replacing the screw in question yet though. However I would be interested to know if you find that it is something else.
-
Thanks for the advice guys, where is the control module located?
-
Only just noticed this, but it seems that my spoiler is not comming up as far as it used to (poor old kid). Sometimes it goes all the way on its own, but when it doesn't, it will come up about 2/3 of the way and then stop. Pressing the switch sometimes helps it the rest of the way, but not every time. Can anyone give me any pointers about where to start looking or lubricating (& if so with what)??? Cheers, Russ.

Well done Darren! :thumb right: Can you give me a call when you return to reality please mate.

Water guage used to sit on the needle and never move, but yesterday I kept noticing a red light flickering on the dash and when I looked the temperature guage was up & down like a yo-yo between 70-110 with the red water temp light flashing. I looked in the water bottle and the colour of the water was brown and oily. I suspect its the head gasket, but the engine oil is fine. Any Ideas? Anyone? Help!

Biggrim is right about the price, im pretty sure it was 9.99 for the 300ml spray can. However I dont agree that my C is Aqua Blue... Your's looks much lighter than mine. I would say that the front wing that you have sprayed is the colour of mine. What is your paint code :?:
-
I was in Halfords the other day to order some paint for my C to spray my eyebrow. When I gave them the Code LC5U it came up on their computer as Aqua Blue. I was under the impression that My C was a moonlight or midnight blue pearl effect which was on their computer as LC5V, so I had them make the paint up for me as the LS5V code. When I got home & sprayed my spoiler It ended up being a very dark blue and looked even a bit green. So I went back to get them to make up the LC5U (Aqua Blue) paint for me and its a match. The computer even told the person mixing the paint to add a red which is the purple colour you can see at certain angles when you look at the car.

Thanks DtM, I remember reading about your scrape a while back when it happened... How much did that cost to have fixed up then if you dont mind me asking?

Well im not sure if there was any damage to the other car... I didnt even know id hit it. I had my music up full whack, was still half asleep and only thought id got a bit close. I had taken a back street because there were road works on my normal route & I was late & didnt fancy sitting in traffic standing still. Im blaming the council for this
-
I went down this road I wouldnt normally go down on the way to work this morning and it was really tight/narrow with cars parked on both sides and as I pulled in between 2 cars to let a car go by i thought I was a bit close, but it seems I actually hit the other car. :( Only damaged my rear wheel arch but its quite bad - just what I didnt need!

Hi Hans, I find the springs on the front a bit weak, it bottoms out quite easily when you hit a harsh bump & I also find myself bouncing all over the place if I go over a sucession of bumps in the road whilst accelerating. However saying that I agree that it looks good, ive got no rubbing & the overall ride quality is not too bad. Does the above answer your question as well Matt GTi?

Just running std shocks with some -40mm springs from German & Swedish, its alright but I will have a set of coilovers going on as soon as I can afford it.

Haven’t posted for a while, so I thought Id give everyone an insight into what’s been done to my corrado lately... which is starting to become a bit of a monster! Had its Mot in January & failed on shocks - so whilst replacing those I had it lowered -40mm. And it wasn’t running properly so I took it into the guys at G-Werks who sorted that & also found that I was only getting about 5psi boost at 3000rpm so this had to be addressed. After some great advice from Darren, I booked it in for the following stuff: Investigate lambda / boost leak Fit SNS chip Set up car Remove boost return Remove carbon canister K&N breather system Blanking plate I’m now getting 11psi boost at 3000rpm! (I think that's correct  ) Also found out that I already had a 68mm pulley & Jabba chip in there, but replaced the Jabba chip with an SNS one  It’s totally transformed the car & I’m soo impressed! Next on the list is an oil cooler :)

I was down at G-Werks on Saturday. Met Darren & had a health check done. I have to say I was properly impressed & Ive booked mine in to have the boost return pipe removed (Amoung other things :D ) on Thursday. I cant wait! 8)

What version of Nero ya using? The new version 6 is fantastic & will work with most recorders. Obviously the faster the recorder the better.

They are the FK crystal smoked/red ones. I didnt want to put clear ones on as I have seen these on a green c and think they look pants.
-
Got them for looks mainly, although they are alot brighter than the dull standard ones.
