  1. i'VE JUST BOUGHT A BURGUNDY 2.0 16V. PAINTS PAST ITS BEST, SO IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A BROWN. TIME FOR A RESPRAY WHEN THE WEATHERS A BIT BETTER ME THINKS...
  2. From what I have found whilst looking at potential corrados, price on earlier cars especially is dependent on the condition. yours sounds like a good one and i'd say £2500 would be a good asking price. looking for a newer lower mileage valver myself, and expecting to pay upto £4k, but i would want a '94 car at the oldest with 80k on the clock at the very most in excellent condition with fsh.
  3. very nice car! One of my friends has just inherited an m3 (non evo) with loads of ac schnitzer extras including polished 18's. it's met. black. absolutely gorgeous, and goes like stink! swapped it for a rover sd1v8s he owned with 12,000 miles on the clock (21 years old but absoloutley mint!)
  4. can anybody tell me what events are planned at york raceway in the near future, or at least where i can find out?
  5. It's a testament to tippex users everywhere! I think he must have sniffed s much tippex as he used! Does anyone remember a blue Corrado for sale a few months ago with a terrible jap style front bumper? think his car is in the same category!
  6. i love the yellow renault! (renault horror)
  7. A big thank you to that chappy from the saxo sports club for posting these pics. Couldn't make it to inters due to my health, really glad i got to see some of the show.
  8. can anybody shed any light on this Corrado? Saw it at a track day at Elvington (York) this last weekend.
  9. One of my mates has an s13 200sx. absoloutly lairy in the wet. I know people who own twin turbo skylines and supras, and they aren't anywhere near as scary in the wet. only bad thing with it is it broke down 2 miles from where he bought it (london) and had to get towed home (york)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doesn't handle as nicely as a corrado, back end doesn't feel like it's attached to the car!
  10. i had a race with one in a brand new impreza wrx, and annihilated it!
  11. I think vw would do well to bring out a proper successor. If it where priced on the right side of £20k, it would be a much better buy than it's competitors (e.g ford cougar, vauxhall astra coupe, hyundai coupe) not much competiotion then!
  12. yeah they are understated, like the corrado. i know they are on mk4 golf underpinnings, but doesn't the corrado use mk2 golf underpinnings?
  13. i'm not generally a fan of aftermarket bodykits on the corrado, but i think this front bumper/splitter looks awesome. can anyone tell me who makes this, if it's still available and how much one would be? thanks for the help
  14. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that the seat leon is (in spirit at least) the new corrado. I know it has 5 doors rather than three, but it's a quick (or very fast if you have driven a cupra!), handles well, front wheel drive and is very good looking in a similar way to the corrado (isn't a 'pretty' car, is good looking because of it's aggressive, masculin looks). The overall shape is also very similar. let me know what you think :robot:
  15. :? please could somebody tell me what size the front and rear speaker locations are in a corrado, and also if there are any aftermarket door builds available. wanting to build a focal sq system, so any help would be appreciated. cheers :
  16. where can i get a set of 4 to 5 stud hub adapters, to fit 5 stud audi rims on a mk3 golf? can't find them anywhere!
  17. Should be awesome! watched a nearly standard vr6 annihilate an s13 200sx the other night. Very satisfying!
  18. holy sh*t!!! what does that thing power, the death star?
  19. I want a corrado, will have to be a 2.0 16v for insurance purposes. thing is, i've seen quite a few turbo'd mazda mx5's for sale. Now, the corrado may be THE best looking car on the road, but the mazda has a huge power to weight advantage (have been told mx5 turbo puts out about 175hp, against the 'raddos 136hp, and i can see the mx5 being far lighter) . Do i go for the corrado or for a hair dressers car on steroids? what do you reckon?
  20. raced a e36 bmw 328i in my dads 530d bmw on the way to birmingham (i mean private road...). i was doing over 145 and he was still all over me! only slowed down 'cause a golf mk4 pulled out in front of me! could have been messy.
  21. you can purchase coilover conversions (universal), don't know how good they are though... could be a way of going lower (or of completely messing your cars handling up?)
  22. i've had 2 capris (i'm only 20!) a mk2 1.6 gt and a mk3 1.6 laser. not very fast, had an interesting habit of going sideways round corners though - lethal in the wet, so can't imagine what a turbo technics one is like! turbo'd capri puts out about 190 bhp i think. just trying to sell my saxo so i can buy a 2.0 corrado (i think a vr6 or g60 is a bit bad on the insurance at my age!)

one of my mates has a rover 200 (bubble shape) 1.4 16v k series. puts out 105bhp as standard, thing goes like stink. no head gasket problems (on 80k, belts are 20k overdue!) he has been through 3 gear boxes in 2 years though...
