    Coil pack?

Ha! Ive had to replace the coilpack, heater matrix and belt tensioner in the past three months too! Damn vw, make a sweet ass car and then engineer all the parts to expire at the same time! As said before, coilpacks are liable to cracking and letting moisture in resulting in poor running, especially when wet/cold. Take the coilpack off and have a look for cracks. Its only four bolts, 5mm allan key is all you need.

    Idle too high!

Got this problem yesterday, seems my engine is idling at roughly 1200rpm even when warm. Not fluctuating though so I don't think its the ISV that's knackered, plus theres no other noticable diffrences to normal running. Cold start valve jammed open maybe? Anyone else had this problem? Cheers Jez
  4. NickVR6 is selling what you're looking for, have a look in the for sale section...

    Fuel Gauge problem?

IFraid so, can be quite annoying I agree one minute you look down and you've half a tank of fuel the next minute you 're nearly in the red :(
  6. Have no fear, the vagparts one is the dual pole sender. I confirmed this when I ordered mine today! Should have ordered it with the guage panel in the first place but I didn't think they'd be able to get them so thought Id wait for it to turn up first!
  7. I believe there is a how to from a while back if you do a search for 'gauge panel'. It seems simple enough though its only four wires. Need to get the sender though...
  8. Damn crappy camera phone, you get the idea though.
  9. Success people! Look what arrived this morning....Call vagparts on 01793 487700 if you want one. They talked to thier supplier who says there's no plans to discontinue them at the minute. Cost £114 delivered.
  10. Hmm, just paid for mine on wednesday cost £104 delivered. Will also let y'all know when they arrive. Should be early next week!

    porsche mirrors

Yup, here's a really badly taken photo of one to prove it. you can see the shape of them well enough, btw the one to the left is the actual car that set the world record for fastest production car back in the day. Beautiful cars, the engine bay is a work of gold heat-shielded art :notworthy:

    porsche mirrors

Porsche mirrors are all well and good but but a porsche is rubbish in comparison to a mclaren F1 which incidentaly, used corrado wing mirrors! Just put the old ones back on and tell people you've got McF1 mirrors!

    Gauges

Yeah, Ive ordered a set of the genuine vdos too probably from the same place. Apparently, they talked to their guy in germany on monday afternoon who says they are definately still available and are being sent to the uk by the end of the week! I think the amount of requests to vw for them has prompted vdo to churn a few reissues out maybe....Will wait and see though, its looking good mind..
  14. I like the look of them RWIIs by BBS , anyone got a pic of a corrado with 'em on?
  15. Yeah, thats true, I had the same problem when I went out in a mates brabus coupe the other week, used to driving a corrado so nearly flipped the damn thing first time I touched the brakes! I prefer the progressive pedal anyways, probably because Im used to it but there you go....Still room for improvement though! Whatever happened to that brembo conversion everyone was on about from the leon? Is it possible or not? Not that the £800 price tag makes it top of the to do list!?

    ABS Yes or No?

Anyone who thinks abs is just a gimmick for idiots is too far up their' own arse. Id like to see someone stop a car from high speed faster by pumping the brake pedal manually than abs would do it in. Lets not lie, most people on this forum are going to drive enthusiastically sometimes and thats going to increase the risk of running into unexpected corners/roundabouts/cars pulling out/cows in road etc..In which case would you rather that little orange warning light was on or off?
  17. Yeah that wasme, saw you again the next morning too I think. Dunno about really low mind, still got stock suspension at the mo! Bin caining the overtime for a set of coilovers recently though...
  18. Have to change me plug leads but pulling them out with brute force doesn't seem a good idea. Anyone know where to get the tool (preferrably specific to vr6 engines) to remove them? Taking the inlet manifold off seems far too much work to get to them, I find it hard to believe vw would engineer it that way. Plus I can't be arsed doing that. Ta
  19. I just fitted a magnex system this weekend. Definitely a good fit and quiet too! Sounds great with my turn2 induction kit when im nailing it too!
  20. Hello, anyone know where I can get a good quality plastic eyebrow spoiler from? I don't want the one that is raised in the middle, the reiger one with the build in grill or a chavy fibreglass one mind! Any help would be appreciated!

    Eyebrows

Hello, anyone know where i can get a decent quality plastic eyebrow that doesn't have that narrower bit above the grill kamei style or the rieger all in one jobbie. GSF still don't have any in and I don't want a naff fibreglass one!
  22. Then how do you ajust it?

    Fuel guage problem

My fuel guage has gone nuts. The other day I noticed it was reading over a full tank, which I knew was not right, so not knowing how much fuel I had went and filled up. Over the next day, it appeared to look like it was working again as the fuel level started dropping normally. However, on the way back home from work today it was reading 1/4 full or nothing at all. Now either the magic fuel fairies are taking the piss, or more likely I have a problem somewhere. Anyone had a sililar experience or know what to check? I had a look where the fuel pump is in the boot but couldn't make out where the sensor for the fuel level is. Is it a float type? Your advice please!
  24. Just a quick one, anyone know whether you can ajust the fuel mixture on a vr6 just by turning a screw like on lesser vw engines? I suspect not but thought Id ask anyways.
  25. Wouldn't mind trying a mitshu evo out too...
