snap off steering wheel, wheel clamp, steering locks??
big ben replied to big ben's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
its not a daily, so the lock wont be on and off... plus i dont park it anywhere other than home so i would leave the lock at home!! think i will get a disklok -
google the mpg figures, you will see there isnt much difference!! they are all fairly thirsty... The VR6 isnt lazy, it just does it easy... you dont have to rev the shit out of it to get somewhere Go drive some corrados and find out for yourself!! drive a VR6, you will love it im sure. Pisses all over a standard 1.8T imo!! over 4,000rpm the VR6 is quality, the sound, the power

i do like the way my valver handles, but thats only because its on Fk coilovers... the VRT isnt far off though, and the engines been rasied an inch in it    but its got KW coilovers and ARB's so makes up for it
-
you cant tell me you would rather a 16v to a VR6 though surely?? when i get in my VR6 it feels a different car, everything about it is nicer, steering, throttle, gear box... feels a million times nicer
-
why not upload them onto here instead of photobucket... might need resizing though if they are big. nice corrado though
-
     dont forget the noise of a V6 engine, and the small matter of speed
-
mpg are basically the same VR6 uses less fuel at 80mph than a valver i rekon, around town not much in it... tax is basically the same, insurance groups are 17/18 i think, so basically nothing in it!!
-
:pale: just brought a set for my VR, and im sure they were m12 :bad-words: looks like they will be going on the valver then and will have to buy some more

mk4 chain guide(s), not sure if its 1 or 2? i would get your car down DG if you are really considering sorting it out, i am taking mine there even though they are miles away...
-
for chains and clutch you would be looking at 900-1200 i would think

snap off steering wheel, wheel clamp, steering locks??
big ben replied to big ben's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
thanks for the replies people!! its definately hard, i dont want to draw too much attention to it... Im thinking a nice lock on the steering wheel for now, then maybe later in the year i will get a post on the parents drive and park it behind that... i dont want my car stolen in the first place so a trackker is a waste of money to me -
Been thinging of the best route to protect my VRT from being dragged up on the back of a truck and gone into the horizon... Im looking at getting a snap off steering wheel, anyone got one or recommend one? i take it i cant use the standard steering wheel with the boss adapter thing? or, has anyone got a good wheel clamp? i have seen a site where they show you how to get them off so that has put me off!! Or what else would you recommend, its kept on the road side in my quite village, so cant put a post up until i convinve the parents to let me put it on the drive with a huge post

i think thats funny as hell, why not, at least it isnt some wanabe in a beemer with a M3 badge on, there is a guy where i work who has done this and its a bloody diesel, sounds like a tractor pulling in  oh, and std means standard if you didnt know??? -
you sure do  sometimes you dont know what you have got till its gone hey, please shoot me if you see my corrrado for sale
-
nice write up!! i was the same when i fist drove a VRT, its simply better than you can imagine, there is certainly going to be lots of VRT's around now
-
i need a 16v badge, might make a offer
-
is there an easy way to replace these? I deal with these sort of cables at work and they are better off being replaced tbh. Its on a 1.8 16v The reason is, the oil light is beeping and flashing and im sure its the cable, its knackered, and after giving it a lil wiggle seems to of solved the problem, for now...
-
anyone care to post a pic of the car, sounds an animal!!!!!!
-
i wont ever sell mine either
-
pushing the boat out arent ya  seriously though, how come your not driving it?
-
how far is the MOT station, 21 miles
-
16v - 130,000 VRT - 70,000 but numbers dont mean nothing do they... all about the looks and the driving, and tbh the corrado's arent that expensive to run, but i see them as a hobbie anyway, not a car if that makes sense
