i will answer before everyone else tells you the same thing... EVERBODY says DONT get cheapo coilovers, get a suspension and spring setup on a budget... koni and H&R etc... and EVERYBODY seems to say buy KW variant 1 coilovers, which are £675 at the moment at venom motorsport im actually getting these myself, quite a lot of money for suspension but will last a lot longer, better ride and handling, so worth saving the pennys for... People also recommend replacing the bushes and mounts while your there, again this is what i shall be doing... Hope this helps...

fair play, wish mine were 8's and 9's :( i have 40mm spacers to compensate i think...
-
these look the same as mine, not 100%... i have 7's for the front and 8's for the back... You need adapters/spacers, i got some H&R ones with the wheels as the guy i brought them off already had them on a rado... If you buy adapters new they are pretty expensive, £150 a pair or something... you can pick up a set from 500-650, bargain if you ask me!!! in my top 5 rado wheels easily... Porsche made them in 6's 7's 8's and 9's, but they were added extras so a set of say 8's and 9's would be more as they are rarer... They dont come polished like that either standard

yeak thanks, think it will be fine now, got a new door goin on there probly anyway, so will need to adjust it again!! i thought they had welded in the panel wrong, but seems fine and the lights sit as they did before so im happy with it now... it is really hard to tell but trust me, before they came out and adjusted it i wasnt happy, it was playing on my mind day and night for 2 days :? with regards to people hanging on your doors etc...; my girlfriend decided to get out and slam the door on my golf mk3 gti, whilst the window was going up!! good one darling :nono: now a window which worked for 17 years doesnt work anymore... she couldnt understand why i was not amused...!?

good work!! cant wait to get my D90's on, they look the nuts, good styling you have... Im thinking of a 90mm splitter but looking at yours it wont last 5 mins
-
17's fit no problem, but handling is defo worse... so by the sounds of it you should keep looking for a set of 16's imo!!
-
yeah well said!! everyone knows the only differnence will be, it taking longer to get from A to B... :cuckoo:
-

a pic with my golf gti full of parts (2x doors, complete tailgate, front bumper, headlights, tail lights and even some interior bits) just want to say thanks to shaung60 - nice one mate also a pic with the original headlights and front grill and badge, going back to the old skool :D

Depends on a lot of things though really mate like time, budget, power etc! A turbo is a lot more of an involved job than just slapping a charger on it, more custom work and a lot more money (if you do it properly, and with this sort of thing you neeeeed to do it properly, remember buy cheap buy twice!). The plus side being you can get more power, but again with more power the more upgrading of other parts you need to do. A charger on the other hand can be put on in a weekend! Still not cheap but much cheaper than turbo, still good power (more than enough power for every day road use at least!) and although will require a strong engine, won't need as much work as going turbo would need. ummm, im thinking of a budget of around 5K, but this includes everything, from the gasket to the chrager/turbo... maybe its a bit much, im sure 300bhp on a rotrex would be fine :confused4: hate being in two minds...
-
yesterday was the first time i really, i mean really thought about going turbo... Ever since i have had my rado i have thought i wanted a superchrager, now im beginning to think turbo is a better option... If anyone has an opinion please share it!!
-
dont get me wrong, i do to!! but dont stop the piglets for doin you in the :censored: so unless you want to be driving "slow" and still get done for speeding i suggest you sign the petition, every little helps...
-
check me out on the list (im in capitals so you cant miss me) :D :D 50mph is to slow, i think 60mph is too fast on some roads though to, it needs to be done with some common sense for once
-
fords make me chuckle   it would give you more fun than any other car for 10K imo, anyone think of a better idea?? You can buy a good E39 M5 for a lot less than £10k right now. That's a helluva lot more of a performance car than anything made by FoMoCo except the Ford GT. but you would look like a gay business man
-
they have gone up about £100 since xmas then    great :confused4:
-
thanks John, i will be getting a sump guard as mines already taken a few knocks as its quite low....but im not slamming it on the floor, just want it low and to drive well!! think im just getting coilovers and see how i go really...
