  1. Standard late spec exterior door handles, ideally with keys but no barrels at all would be fine too
  2. sweet, are you 100% sure its in perfect working order? I have spent feck loads getting this ABS to work so far so I wanna be sure :) If so how much were you looking for it? Harry
  3. I'm near bath, anyone got a working one? Harry
  4. Thanks I will give it a read, It cant be fixed then as I drove it home at around 30 and the light didnt go out. ---------- Post added at 9:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:20 AM ---------- Oh, that guide just shows how to replace the sensor, thats already been done :( Im now trying to work out how to find whatever the other fault/s may be but plugging it in doesnt give any info on ABS for some reason... We cant work out how to access the abs brain
  5. So ive had ABS issues of late, I have the 2ltr 8v and when my mate and also the guys at the local garage connected it to the fault finding thing with the cable it didnt bring up anything to do with ABS, im told its a separate unit, if thats the case then how do we get the info?
  6. Ok, well my mate identified one kackered sensor, had that replaced but the light still stays on.. does it need resetting or something after you replace a sensor? The garages diagnostic thing can't access the abs info so can't find the fault that way, apparently the ecu and abs is totally seporate, how doyou get the abs fault info? My mate thinks he has a much older diagnostic thing at work so maybe that might help? Gonna try what ChrisL suggested too. Anything else worth doing?
  7. my mate has that but couldn't get anything about the abs on it, is there a seporate plug for the abs? Its a 2ltr 8v btw
  8. mot failure as my abs indication light doesn't go out, having trouble working out what's wrong, what things could cause this?
  9. nah, the two front tyres have been replaced, the problem was there before and is still there now :( Its back at volksmania now, theyre gonna check the top mounts and a few other things, I hope they find the problem, this is getting ridiculous :/
  10. This follows this thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?71729-Vibes-but-apparently-nothing-wrong ok so we changed the driveshaft, problem persisted, I took it to volksmania who found that the gearbox was broken, as was the clutch and front engine mount, all that has been changed and still the same problem. I have had the wheels checked to make sure they are balanced and they are fine too. REALLY confused now. Could a wheel bearing cause this? ive had the drivers side one done a few weeks a go but the passenger side one has no play and sounded fine when we check it in the air. To clarify the problem, its rolls pretty roughly, but up to 40 you could pass it off as road vibration but as you approach 50 and so on a very noticeable vibrating sort of noise/feeling starts, the faster you drive the faster it vibrates and it persists with the clutch in, like i said, gear box and passenger side driveshaft have been replaced, it certainly feels like its coming from the passenger side. Any ideas? Its going back to volksmania on Wednesday anyway but it would be good to try and get some ideas down.
  11. ok, how fast can you get it to me and whats your price? I actually do have one I can get for 45 plus VAT from a breakers near by on monday but im trying to avoid spending such a silly amount on a driveshaft, but at the same time I need this sorted as fast as possible SO i can get to and from work next week :/
  12. Near bath, if I could find one of these over the weekend it would save me the world of hassle. numbers 07818518147, Harry
  13. sorted, its the driveshaft cheers guys :) I can pick one up monday but if anyone happens to read this and has one I can get off them before that it would be appreciated :)
  14. Does the wobble persist when you dip the clutch? (outrules an engine related issue - such as a misfire, which can shake the car) It does indeed Tyre - Has it bulged or get any other defect, or lost it's balance weights? I have recently had two new tyres, this was happening before and after I got them Brakes - Warped disc, siezing caliper? my mate checked it over and said everything seemed safe and in good working order but I will mention this for him to double check Loose ball joints, loose top mounts, knackered damper (damper oil thins and will get worse further into the journey)? as above Knackered outer CV joint? as above You haven't said what model of Corrado it is (there are 4 variants!) but the VR6 didn't get a Driveshaft damper. its a 2 litre 8v, 1995 So yeah, some things to check over the weekend thankies, gonna be looking into it tonight, my mate told me to get some research done to try and narrow the options so thanks a lot, this should help hopefully :)
  15. I couldn't say for sure but I've only ever noticed it after constant driving for 10 mins or so and I need to be going about 40 to really notice it, at 70 it gets scary
  16. Im not sure, would that have the effect im getting tho? I would imagine that would be a problem from the start of any journey whereas it gets increasingly worse over time for me, starts off as barely noticable and after about 10-15 minutes its very clear.... il mentuion it to my mate regardless tho, cant hurt to check I guess.... ive sourced another drive shaft if need be :/
  17. So I've noticed this develop over time and now its really worrying, it takes a few minutes to become really noticeable but once it gets going its very unnerving. I get a vibration from the front passenger side wheel area, or at least that's where it feels like its coming from, it gets faster as I speed up and isnt so much a noise, you cant notice it when going slowly, my mechanic mate checked everything and said he couldn't find a problem anywhere, but there has to be something.. I personally suspect the driveshaft is showing slight resistance somewhere and gets worse as the friction heats up the parts but I am no expert.. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I struggling to get to the bottom of this :( Harry
  18. im not 100% thats sure but i might be seeing the picture wrong :/ exterior right? if it is then il take it, ive had two of these, the first one that came with the car pushed out in the middle and the one I have now wont stay in at the end by the door handle SO annoying. where about are you?
  19. do you have the bit of trim that sits between the door and the window? I dont really know what its called, but mine doesnt stay in on the passenger side, if I lower and raise the window it pushes out in areas :(
  20. These are for a Corrado, im unaware if they fit anything else though. I have a pair of brand new rear disks, bearings pushed in with the ABS things on ready to go on the car, amazingly I did an uber stupid and did all this before realising they were 5 stud disks and my cars a 4 stud (bare in mind all this cost me 50 quid for parts so this is a really good deal) So that sucks abit Also have a pair of front disks that have done roughly 20 miles so still in near perfect condition. I got them off a guy who was breaking a VR6 as a spur of the moment thing as i was getting a bumper off him and just didnt think to check what stud they were. they cost me 40 quid for the set and about 50 more for the bearings etc so im a bit out of pocket which is annoying, make me a decent offer and they're yours, I live near Bath/Bristol but i on occasion travel to Birmingham Devon and Basingstoke If your interested PM me or give me a ring, i would prefer not to post them. 07818518147 Harry
