Sounds good, I couldn't find anything on the Scirocco forum so I thought I would try here, 'rocco would look good among the 'rados...evolution and all that! :) How do I go about getting it on the stand, thanks Mj.

Can't find any mention of this on here, anyone going? Just across the road from me so will be there with the camera and the mk1 Scirocco (Corrado isn't quite ready at the moment)

HI, SADLY THE TIME HAS COME FOR ME TO PART WITH MY CORRADO VR6. I'VE OWNED THE CAR SINCE APRIL THIS YEAR AND HAVE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT AND WILL BE GUTTED TO SEE IT GO AS I SPENT THE PREVIOUS 9 WEEKS DRIVING IT AND NOW I WOULD LIKE AN A3 OR A4 TDI. I re wrote the add for him. lol

I purchased a 1996 Corrado a couple of weeks ago, hired a transporter to collect from near Glasgow. I was pulled in for inspection on the motorway south of Glasgow, cops and vehicle inspectors like flies around me, "what kind of Scirocco is that then?" One cop asks. "A Corrado one," I reply! "Do you realise the tax, mot and insurance have run out?" Another cop offers. The temptation to reply "no **** Sherlock" was hard to resist! Instead I pointed out that that was why I hired the transporter. Corrados are not the only ones to suffer idiot remarks, I have a mint 1981 Scirocco, supercharged 1.8 20valve conversion. Neighbour stops to look at it on my drive, asks me about it, so I explain as simple as possible that basically it's quite fast. His parting shot was "so people are surprised when an OLD BANGER Scirocco is faster than their new car!"

Totally agree, I would be more inclined to attend shows with my cars if the entry was free for show cars.

Glad it went well for you, but to be honest I have looked at and driven many Corrados in the last couple of months....yours drove better than all of them. My problem was not really wanting another green one.......If I had the choice. And a message to the owner near Brighton that wouldn't let me drive his car...I'm not gonna buy a car that you won't let me test drive......and yer roof is covered in dents!!!!!!!!

I love the Corrado but I also have a Mk1 Scirocco with a supercharged 1.8 20valve fitted......It's very fast (think sh*te crossways fast!) Everywhere I go people point and want to talk about the car. :)
