  1. I've PM'ed him, I can't find his email address tho. VR6 - Could you either email him or PM me his email address please, if you have it? It's not on his profile. Cheers
  2. Hey bud, you've disappeared!? Come back and share your amazing Corrado with us please. I've started a new thread on VW Motorsport Corrado history and I'm sure alot of members would love to hear more about your car mate, post up some pics. and info. on my thread, it's in the general car chat section of the forum. Your car's the missing link! Never heard of or seen another one like it. Cheers, Phil
  3. A few more VW Cup Motorsport pics. of Ken Lark driving his VR in anger at Thruxton in Aug 2004: He got second place in this one. Does anyone know what the spec. was for these racing Corrados? I don't think G60's were allowed in this series, not sure why. ---------- Post added at 11:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:20 PM ---------- Check out these rare Grant Motorsport VR6 Intake Trumpets, pure awesomeness! http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?5408972-Rare-VR6-Grant-motorsport-ITB-s-All-Motor Bet they make a lovely VR roar, highly addictive! So, you can kiss goodbye to your mpg and fuel consumption then, but who cares!
  4. Ok mate, no problem. I'll also take the radiator air guides if you have them and if they're in vgc, no cracks or splits. Have a nice weekend and talk to you next week. Cheers, Phil
  5. Ok mate, I'll take the Miltek cat. back, 288 front setup and the PCV valve and pipework please if all in vgc. PM received, no worries at all. No rush for the exhaust or brakes and you'll post the hubs on Monday, many thanks. What's the mileage on the Miltek exhaust mate? Also have you got the long thin radiator plastic air guides that fit either side and do you have the under engine corner plastic air guides? Price and condition if you have them please. Cheers, Phil
  6. I'll take the 288 front brake setup please and the Miltek cat back, as long as it's in good, solid condition. Is the PCV valve and pipework available, if so, condition please? Do you know what the mileage is on the 263's? Many thanks
  7. Thanks guys, that's great. That VW Vortex thread link is really good, some amazing and crazy Corrado road and track pics. in there from europe and North America! Yes Corrado racing in the UK seems to have faded into a bit of a distant memory, but it's good to find out more about it.
  8. Over 200 views of this thread so far and only 1 response! :bonk: It would be great if some of you guys and girls could share some info. on any Corrado Motorsport programmes that used to run?. Does anyone know the spec. of Ken Lark's VAG Trophy VR6?, or the VW Cup cars from circa. 2002? Where are they now? Have you seen the interior shots of the VW Cup car in that old thread?, 125K to build that car apparently, that's mental ! Anyway I think it's an interesting part of Corrado history, come on spill the beans guys! :thumbleft:
  9. Found some pics. and info. on Ken Lark's VW Cup / VAG Trophy racing Corrado VR6, looks pretty mean!: http://www.ianhardy.net/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=19538 It's a Grant Motorsport prepared car with a VSR manifold, but not sure of the other mods. at the moment. Nice! Found an old thread with a couple of Corrado VR6 VW Cup racer interior cabin shots: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=6076 Some great shots from a VW cup series race at Oulton Park in May 2002, a Corrado leading the pack!: It's good to know that the Corrado does have a little bit of Motorsport heritage. Massive rims! any idea what alloys they are?
  10. It's interesting to find out why and how the VSR and RS301's were apparently developed for Corrado Motorsport applications, whether that was for a VW factory team or privateers. Did anyone use to enter official Motorsport events in a Corrado back in the 90's or attend any as a spectator? Yep I remember the Golf Rallye has a Motorsport connection, maybe there's a Corrado link in there!
  11. Any news on if the hubs and other parts are still available please? Many thanks ---------- Post added at 7:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 7:49 PM ---------- Any news on if the hubs and other parts are still available please? Many thanks
  12. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any info. (keeping it on topic!) regarding the history and origins of the VW Motorsport Corrado programme, if such a thing existed? Having recently seen a pic. of a rare VWM VSR / ABT tuned Corrado that was purchased in Japan, plus the VWM OEM+ options of a VSR manifold and BBS RS301 alloys, which are some of the most desirable upgrades for a lot of owners, I'm interested to learn more about the Corrado Motorsport related history of it all. For instance, did VW have a Motorsport programme for the Corrado, ie. a one make, track race series? Was the VSR manifold and BBS RS301's designed originally for a VW factory Motorsport team, and other Corrado Motorsport applications? I don't know much at all about the Motorsport related background on the Corrado and I'm sure alot of forum members would also find it interesting if anyone know's more about this subject and maybe could post up some pics. or share some stories from back in the day, if this programme and the cars existed or still do exist? Cheers, Phil
  13. Hi there, do you still have the front hubs with recent SKF bearings fitted please? Are they genuine VR hubs, how old are the bearings and what's the mileage? Do they come with the ABS rotors included? If so then what's their condition please? Straight and true, not warped? Also have you got the PCV valve including pipework? Is the crack pipe still available, is it genuine? What's the mileage on the car and can I see some pics. of the above please? Many thanks! Cheers, Phil
  14. Still looking for parts if anyone can help? Cheers
  15. Ok I'll say no thanks on the housing. I'm after genuine parts. Cheers
  16. It's all good, just a bit of friendly banter! it's the sellers choice and we should respect that decision, done.
  17. We all were mate, see page 1 of this thread, post no. 8, CazzaVR - Andy, moved and tidied up this thread, I don't know the details though. I'm sure Andy could clarify this if you ask him.
  18. The thread was moved to here and some posts cleaned up due to some of the content.
  19. The previous "handbag fights at dawn" VSR feeler thread has been moved to here! :camp: Sure, just cancel the Ebay advert and bring it along to National Day next month then. haha! Thanks for clarifying Baron, I have to confess that I didn't realise the Ebay seller pays the fees of the buyer, my bad, but even then I still have to decline to bid for it. Like you said, it's the sellers choice but he'll potentially loose out financially paying the Paypal fees.
  20. Cheers for the advice Kev
  21. Yep I totally agree with you Kev and there's no way I'd buy a high value item like a VSR on Ebay and via Paypal. I wouldn't even entertain getting involved in a bidding war for it, plus the ridiculous fees, I'd much prefer to do a road trip to see it and buy it in person from one enthusiast to another at an advertised and agreed price, that's what this forum is all about imo. But here we are peeps, the crossroads have already been reached and Ebay it is then! Let the bids begin!...
  22. Is that the part no. for late VR sump bolts?, mine need replacing. Kev - Is it ok to use an early fabric sump gasket on a late VR sump?, I've got a brand new REINZ fabric one. Is it genuine and are the late gaskets rubber? Cheers
  23. I'm not being grumpy! It's totally your choice if you want to try and get the highest price on the world of ebay, ofcourse that's fine. It's just a shame that you didn't set a price and advertise it on here in the first place, then it would have definately gone to a Corrado enthusiast and greatly reduced the chance of being scammed or let down by buyers. The Paypal guarantee promises alot but delivers very little imo, I much prefer to do a direct bank transfer, no fees, or cash on collection. I've heard of so many disputes with Paypal and Ebay recently and usually the seller or buyer looses the fight, despite the so called guarantee. I'm sure another VSR will come up for sale again in the future, once an owner gets bored with it or needs the cash. Best of luck with the sale.
  24. I won't be bidding for this as it's now on ebay, simple as that, plus it's payment via Paypal. Hopefully it will go to an enthusiast in the UK, time will tell and good luck with the sale. I think the last one on here sold for 900 - 1,000 pounds.
  25. Ok thanks, please let me know if the PCV becomes available again.
