Mine had these plastic air guides missing along with the rad. support ones, luckily I found a pair from an 8v in the breaking section which was a bonus as they're expensive pieces of plastic new. I think one side was obsolete early last year when I was looking around for a set.

Schimmel 263 camshafts with gears fitted(SOLD)matching lifters
Philstrm250 replied to J.C's topic in Parts for Sale
Hi J.C have you still got these for sale? If so can I see some pics. please. -
The pics. in the advert aren't very good or close up though, hiding the scabby bonnet leading edge quite nicely. Hopefully potential buyers will be aware that the car was originally for sale on Pistonheads for 2200, unbelievable! now it's 5K, down from 6K, hhmm. Yes it's a one owner Storm, but it will definately still need time and money thrown at it to bring it back to it's former glory. Nice original car, just a shame it was sold to a trader who bought it far too cheaply, doesn't give a damn and is now selling it for far too much. Such is life! There are several forum members cars currently for sale in the 3.5 - 4k price bracket that have been cherished and are in better overall condition than this car, although there will always be a price premium for a Storm.

Welcome to the forum. Nice, looks like you've luckily stumbled across and unearthed a bit of a gem there! It's always great to see these rare beasties when they pop up out of nowhere. Maybe it was ordered brand new with the VSR option fitted and then sent to ABT for a tuning package - engine, suspension, wheels and brakes. It has a VSR grille badge too, interesting, plus the potentially factory fitted rad. support VWM serial number plate. Could this be a genuine factory VW Motorsport dept. Corrado? Never heard of a VWM chassis plate before. You should call VW in Japan and try to find out some more info. on the car's history using the VIN and registration plates. We definately need to see loads of pics. please! and where was the car originally purchased / registered, Germany? I think the VSR was a factory option there and wasn't ABT a German tuning company back in the 90's? What does the service history tell you (if it has some?) and is it in German, Japanese or both!? Anyway, look forward to hearing and seeing more about the car soon.

Very good Andy, funny guy eh?! Reps., as if They're the real McCoy and look great.

An amazing classic ebay advert, brilliant! Maybe some Corrado owners on here looking to sell up should try using these tactics, it's a done deal !

Had a great afternoon and evening yesterday at Volksfest. Good to seeing you all again. Many thanks to Andy for organising it, Jake for the handmade and baked rolls, Ian for cooking up a Storm (no pun intended) and many thanks to Lew for bringing along a stunning set of mint RX's which I bought and can't stop looking at today! Just one more peek.... I polished off 3 burgers and a double sausage burger!, followed by a pack of 4 doughnuts, blimey, what a fat git! You can't beat a good bbq in the summer, luckily I'm built like a greyhound so it's all good. Hayfever wasn't too bad at all yesterday, only had very mild symptoms this morning, nothing like last year. Also many thanks to Andy for the 20p dodgems donation, that second round was fun! I drove home last night skint, but very happy. Guys, if anyone's there today then please post up some pics. of the main show cars on display and a few VW beetles / buses with the gangsta ride height and paint jobs, like that one for sale for 15K! It didn't even have any paint on it and looked like a right shed. It's a totally different scene with the older dubs, still cool though. :thumbleft: -

Heads up on the carnival - I didn't realise that there's a carnival procession in Easter Compton on Sat. between 1 - 3pm, so the main road will be closed for 2 hrs according to the Volksfest website, lucky I checked. I remember this now from last year, bugger! Typical, as I was gonna arrive between 1-2pm. So I won't be there until 3pm ish now when the road re-opens, nevermind. I'm in my classic Polo sports coupe! but I'll try and sneak in to the Corrado display area if I can, reserve me a space, haha! see you guys later on. Phil -
Such a shame the car was sold to a rip off trader and not directly to a private buyer / enthusiast. So to recap - buy the car for 2K or less, wash and polish it, give it a service and advertise it for 6K!? He should be a banker! Was the car not advertised on here first?, oh well, it's too late now. Still, it does have alots of paperwork and immobilize after all. Bet the original owners aren't too impressed either. I've had my little rant about it now anyway!

Sorry to hear about that Kip, sad news, rest assured that his book has gone to an enthusiast and a good home. It's good to know that the money raised from the book and his car will go to a very good cause in his memory. Many thanks, Phil

G60 CS and Harrier - don't wait for me in the layby at 7.15, I'm now planning on arriving at Volksfest in the afternoon, you guys carry on without me. I've gotta get a few things done in the morning first before heading to Bristol in the G40 special ! Does anyone know if Volksfest is in the same location and hayfever hotspot as last year? Vorn could you bring a spare hayfever gimp mask for me please!? Nice one. Ian - have you got enough food for one more please?, I'm not camping but might stay into the evening, how much is it per person? If there's enough food. Looking forward to seeing you all 2moro, should be a great weekend for it. Phil -
Nice one Lew, yep see you 2moro. Thanks
-
Hi Lew, Yep they look amazing!, if they're as good in the flesh as they look in the photo's then consider them sold at the asking price. Please bring them along 2moro including the centre caps and receipt. I've gotta fit them in the back of my little Mk3 Polo so have you got any bubble wrap or soft packing material I can use please to protect them for the journey home!? I don't think they'll all fit flat in the back of my tiny car. :thumbleft: Cheers, Phil

Really sorry to hear about all of this Andy, it's unbelievable what some people will do to either vandalise or steal someone else's property. Hope your brother in law is doing ok now and recovers from this horrible event quickly. I just couldn't believe it when I first read your post, it's unreal. Phil -

Hi Darren, no problem mate. I maybe coming along 2moro anyway, just waiting to hear back from Lew first. What time are you leaving home? we could meet up in the layby by Q.E. Country Park on the A3 if that works? I should know either way by about 8pm tonight, I'll let you know. Does anyone have a genuine late VR oil sump in vgc for sale that they could bring to Volksfest? -
Hi Paul, I received the book a couple of days ago, very well packed and in vgc. It's a big old heavy book the Bentley manual ! Many thanks again, Phil
-
Nice one Lew, that's great. Are the tyres all Toyo Proxy T1R's, were they bought and fitted as a set of 4, with new valves? Lew are you going to Volksfest this weekend?, there's a possibility I could collect 2moro. Depends if there's enough time to sort it all out and if you have room in your car to bring them along without scratching the finish? ie. no camping gear etc. piled on top of them! If not then we'll try and sort something out for next week, no worries mate. Cheers, Phil
-
Bring on the new photo's, receipt and all of the requested info. Lew! I presume that they're fully balanced and the weights are on the back face of the alloys? Ready to be bolted straight on, no adaptors or spacers required and completely damage / buckle free? Mint and immaculate. Cheers, Phil

Hi all, I may come to this again, even though I nearly died last year from extreme hayfever! - could be a new extreme sport, sponsored by Red Bull!? Darren, are you driving up on your own or with the wife and kids, are you camping or day tripping on Sat? My C's currently being repaired and won't be able to make it this year unfortunately. Phil -
Ok so would these fit directly onto my VR, no need for adaptors or adjustment and the standard caliper clearance would be fine? I'm running original spec. discs and calipers at the moment. Do you know what the ET is please and were they originally for a Corrado or off a Golf etc.? I know you said they've been on 3 Corrados so far. I take it that they've been carefully stored since you first advertised them back in November and are they still in immaculate condition? Not used since? Can I see some more current pics. please, including the tyre treads, front and rear view of the alloys. Also could you post up on here a copy of the receipt for the refurb. please, sorry for all the questions! Cheers, Phil
-
Hi Lew, I'm definately interested in these, but it's only fair that you check with Mike - fishmaestro first, as he asked first. Is the price still 600? Cheers, Phil

Yep my Storm's got the plastic rocker cover, so that's fine. So are all of the parts new and unused? If so then I'll take everything minus the oil please. Thanks Phil
