Forgot to mention that all parts received as described and well packed! Many thanks. -
Have you got a pair of VR cams and if so what's the mileage please? Are early and late VR cams exactly the same? Also have you got the PCV valve including pipework? Cheers
-
How much for the PCV valve including pipework, also are the cams available? if they're in vgc? Can I see some pics. please, Many thanks.
-
Are you just making the large rear Storm badge or the centre console badge aswell?. Did Trimsport use to make one for the front grill too or was that the same centre console badge?
-
Does anyone know for certain if the standard VR cams are the same or different in the early and late cars / engines? Cheers
-
Hi Lew, Sorry mate, the garage that's doing the work on my car need the head bolts asap and can't wait until Thu for yours to arrive, they've ordered genuine ones. Shame you didn't mention that you already had all of these parts at Volksfest, nevermind! So Lew's head bolts are back on the parts menu boys and girls if anyone wants them.
-
Hi Lew, I'll take the head bolts please, 30 posted. I'll say no thanks to the sump for now. Please PM me details for a bank transfer. Many thanks.

Many thanks for the advice Kev. Lew, which type of sump is it, MK4 or MK5? Is it a genuine one? Are the Elring head bolts the same as the "best quality" parts that you can order from euro car parts, you can order cheap parts or best quality / direct OE replacement instead of paying a fortune for VW, like with the head bolts. I know VW are the best but are expensive in comparison. Kev - have you got any advice please, best quality or genuine parts for head gasket replacement parts, mine's blown and the head is off for machining. I'm after quite a few parts in my wanted thread but it gets pricey if it's all new genuine stuff. Corrado fun and games! Also if I keep my original sump then would my brand new REINZ (genuine?) fabric sump gasket be fine, instead of a late rubber gasket. Cheers
-
Hi Jim and Lew, no worries chaps. Thanks for the parts advice. Lew I would like first dibs on the head bolts please, what's the earliest you could post or courier them? Or would you be willing and able to meet me half way at Chievley services one evening this week please!? I'd take the sump aswell then. So can I use my new genuine - REINZ? fabric sump gasket on my old sump or does it have to be the late rubber type? Cheers, Phil
-
Hi Lew, damn! just missed out, you should have let me know about the parts at Volksfest mate, I'd have cleared your garage out! Yes I'm interested in the head bolts, when could you post them mate as time is of the essence. Are these genuine or OE replacement? What's the advantage of having a 24v sump, apart from that it's alloy and looks nice? So it's a straight swap, no mods. required etc.? Cheers, Phil

Hi JJasonJJ, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you today mate. Please post up some pics. of the items and a description including it's price, condition, they do have to be genuine vw parts and in vgc / excellent or brand new. Have you got a pair of cams off the same engine - 2.9 VR6 and what's the year (92-95) and mileage on them? Or is it only the rear cam? Is it a 2.9 VR6 inlet manifold? I don't want a 2.8 from a Golf as it'll need a custom made adapter plate to fit properly. What type of finish has it got? Yes I'm still after all of the parts in my first wanted thread post, including the sump at this moment in time. Where are you and the parts based mate? Cheers, Phil

PM sent Lew. Would the 24v sump require a different gasket, plug and bolts compared to a genuine late VR sump? I have a spare new genuine sump gasket, is it early or late? It's grey and looks fabric, part no. RNZ 021 103 609, the guy who I bought it off on here said it's for a late VR, hhmm, but I thought late ones are rubber? does it really matter and could I still use it on my VR? First dibs please on everything for sale except the yellow fog lights. Cheers, Phil ---------- Post added at 12:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:48 PM ---------- PM sent Lew. Lots of late Corrado parts, last few bits

I'll leave it then, thanks. I'm looking for a direct bolt on 2.9 media blasted or polished inlet manifold, no adapter plate required. -
Hi Ron, Sorry I didn't intend to hijack your thread, I've now deleted and edited some of my posts. I have placed my own wanted thread for many items including a sump and VAG-hag also replied to my thread directly and I did say "I'll take it" many hours before you did. I guess it's up to VAG-hag to decide who he wants to sell to and how quickly he wants it gone and paid for. Ultimately it's the vendors choice and I'm fine with that outcome, either way. Vag-hag (Chris) please confirm who you want to sell the sump to? Unfortunately I can't collect from Oxford on Tue now, so you would need to post it to me, it's your choice. Cheers, Phil

So the manifold wouldn't come with the adapter plate then and I'd have to get a custom made one? -
Hi Ron, Sorry mate I did honestly forget this is your wanted thread! I'm just trying to source parts quickly. Vag-hag did PM me but he should really have reminded me that you're first dibs, as the impression I got is that Chris is willing to sell to whoever says 'I'll take it' first and you've not specifically said that until now, plus you can't collect it until the end of June. I will respect your wishes Ron, it's your thread so please clarify with Chris and sort it out amongst yourselves, my apologies, I wasn't deliberately trying to hijack your thread or item first. Chris - Please confirm the above and cancel our intended meet this Tue in Oxford. I've had enough of doing handbags at dawn on here recently, like with the recent frustrating VSR manifold feeler thread, which basically turned into a junk show and is now going on ebay, shame. Chris ultimately can choose who to sell to or not, but I'm not getting involved in that, it's his decision and in the spirit of the forum: Ron you have first dibs. on this item. Cheers, Phil

Hey Lew, Have you still got everything for sale mate? My Storm's currently undergoing head gasket replacement and I need quite a few parts. The RX's are quietly waiting in the background to go on by the way! Please have a look at my thread in the wanted section for everything that I need. Are Victor Reinze or Elring (head) gaskets the same as genuine ones? Have you got any more parts I might need during the head rebuild? Cheers, Phil

Do you still have the steering wheel and polished inlet manifold for sale? If you've still got the inlet manifold then would it fit and work correctly on my late 95 VR?, it has the plastic rocker cover fitted. Is this a genuine inlet manifold from a Golf VR6, what year and mileage? and why are you selling it after having it polished? Cheers -
Has the PCV valve and pipework gone or still for sale?
-
Have you still got the thermostat and housing for sale, any gaskets with it and are they new genuine parts? If so then are they for a late VR? Any other parts for sale?

Hi all, I'm looking for the following genuine parts for a late 95 VR6, must be in vgc, excellent or brand new: Rear camshaft (the longer one, cylinders 1,3,5) - no pitting or rust, minimal wear on the lobes PCV valve including pipework, part no. 021 129 101 A - no perished or split hoses Radiator support plastic air guides - no cracks or splits O/S/F ABS rotor, hub, wheel bearing - I would consider OE direct replacement / best quality ecp, if not genuine 2.9 ABV Inlet manifold, must be media blasted to either OEM finish or polished Inlet and exhaust manifold gaskets, must be new and unused Handbrake cables complete I would also consider a pair of schimmel 263 cams if new or low mileage. My car's in the workshop now stripped down for head gasket replacement (blown @ 101K) so I need the parts urgently please! Many thanks for your help, Phil
